Thanks for another great vid Cash. When you put a complex system in front of dedicated gamers, they will invariably figure out the optimum solutions within the system. This reminded me of something that happened a few years back. A chemist was trying to figure out how a protein would fold together - somehow, they gamified it and put it out to the gaming community - the gamers figured it out pretty quickly, outperforming the computer simulations they had been using. Never underestimate the power of people.

I was actually experimenting with this very build yesterday, main issue is that I like hard hitting weapons (hammer and evicerator) whereas fast weapons like heavy sword for fast multi hits or combat blade for crit+bleed blessings seem best suited for this. Give an Antax (or Rashad - jury is still out on which is better for this) with Brutal Momentum and Shred with Crit Chance and Flak. Go for those headshots. It's a heavy hitter and gets multi-kills. If you take the first node headed toward Martyrdom, the extra attack speed helps a lot.

Got to say, love your approach to introducing builds. Usually builds seem very dead set in their ways. Like you NEED this specific path of talents in the tree and you definitely can´t go without these two blessings! That kind of thinking makes it hard to get builds together for someone like me that is constantly bottlenecked by lack of Plasteel when fishing for good weaponrolls and blessings. So I will be taking a page out of your book and just going to figure out more stuff on my own from now on. Might avoid the knife though, that thing hurts my old man hands 😂

Been thinking about giving it another go, but ive been having a ton of fun running around in a general melee build with evisc/heavy sword, fury faith charges and lethal momentum. really feels like a madman high on faith cutting down hordes of heretics. i get enough random crits (10% w/ 5% perk on melee) with the 1.5sec cdr talent that I can keep fury faith buff up. havent really stress tested yet in higher difficulties tho. glad i found your channel, been enjoying your vids

I'm sorta doing the same thing. It's a crit bleed build with the combat blade but taking advantage of the toughness regen and attack speed of the Fury dash. The dash has 2 charges, and its cooldown is only 30 seconds. With 3 Curios rolled with combat ability cooldown, it's only a 27 second base cooldown. U can then combo this with the "Crits reduce ability cooldown by 1.5 sec" skill and take "Martyr's purpose" skill and have basically infinite dashes!! I have a dash every 4-5 seconds and sometimes faster! With Unholy revnant skill, u have some safety if u get too carried away. U have to pick throwing knives tho sadly in order to have enough points to do everything.. At least I did in order to make it the way I wanted to.. Awesome video tho btw!!!

The backstab one I like, but I don't always take it (like on the Combat Axe, I'd rather get some extra attack speed from a node than have backstab CDR). I do like it with the dagger and Tac Axe, as they attack about as fast as I can click already.

I run the bleed build with the combat knife and shroud field and it’s awesome. You can one hit kill basically anything everything 10-20 seconds, as well as do decent damage all-round. I’d say it’s biggest weakness is ranged or crowds. I run the shredder auto pistol as it’s decent at everything.

@@cashcrop_ Quote from patch 13: "Rending has changed a bit. Before, rend was complicated and worked differently for different weapons. It scaled how much damage was blocked by different armour types but with maths making an Ogryns head hurt. Now it’s simpler. It works on anything that’s not just naked or rotting. It works on the Mutants. It works on the Monsters. It works on any armour. Any Rend you have is just added. Until you do full damage. After that it still helps you do more damage, just not as much. If you have a shovel that does 20% damage on the big Carapace guys. With 4% rend, you will now do 24% damage, cause 20 plus 4 is 24. On stuff that already does full damage, it will add 1% damage instead. It always adds 1% more for every 4% Rend you have. Still maths that makes an Ogryns head hurt. Just not as much. And it helps kill things on all weapons." So it also works on unyielding and maniac by the way this reads. The only thing it won't work on now is unarmoured and infested. Which is a huge buff for how universally useful it can be. Meaning it now works on all the big HP enemies who would benefit from a rending bonus in the first place like ragers, mutants, and bulwarks.

I heard at least two people say the CDR backstab skill doesn't work. Me and others have been playing this build with Shroudfield without it. Works great, regardless of if the thing is really broken or not. You do want the running skill right next to it though. Counting as dodging while you sprint is valuable in many ways. On another note, there's a mod called Perspective on Nexus. You can play in 3rd person, and with a Lacerate knife it actually makes sense too. Much more spatial awareness and you get to see your own movement animations and judge the hitboxes etc. Can really take your movement to another level when you properly see what's around you. Either pair the knife with a flamethrower, or use the automatic function to swap into 1st person when equipping a ranged weapon.

The buff is cool (I'd go with +Damage over + Toughness Damage Reduction). That being said, I've seen in a lot of Public Queue games that folks won't typically push with it, they think of it as a heal. Time should fix that one. Stealth is pretty cool. It's kind of punishing on your teammates if you stay in it for long periods of time and don't attack to come back out, as there is one less person available for the mobs to target. Dash is great. Before Patch 13, you could pick to get your Dash back via CDR from crits, OR you could pick having 2 Dashes. Here, you can have both, so It's kind of amazing. They're all good at what they're for. I'm defiantly going to argue that you have too much bleed on your blade because... RIPOSTE +20% crit chance on successful dodge (which is very often all the time constantly when your zealot) but if you don't have it take what you can get :P fury rising and righteous worrier are a waste of talent points, fury rising you just straight up done need, and righteous worrier is good but. it's not worth 2 talent points just to get it, take anything else in your skill tree that makes sense, the main problem with blazing piety is that the base skill is too strong, and it is really really easy to keep it constantly active 24/7 so you don't need the sub perks for it also i have no idea where your getting your crit numbers from 55% from skill tree 15% base knife crit (it's a hidden stat you need to do research to figure it out, or test it in game with a white knife no perks etc) 5% perk crit (your missing the extra 20% blessing crit from weapon) and then 5% base zealot crit with your setup you actually have 80% crit chance at the moment since your missing riposte with riposte you actually max out your crit chance at 100% also take note that pious cut throat is a % cooldown buff, meaning for things like spiritual fortitude, with a 60 second base cooldown 5 backstab kills. will fully replenish your ability cooldown regardless. and if you play around that it is very very strong i would recommend a stronger single hit backstab weapon tho if you aren't going to be running invocation of death. but pious cut throat itself is one of the strongest CDR perk you can run if you play it well enough i normally go for fury of the faithful in my crit builds, since im playing around toughness DR attack speed etc and the 30 second cooldown time means that invocation of death is doing the most work it possibly can, not to mention redoubled zeal gives you a second change, it's super useful especially when you suddenly find yourself in the middle of fire with 0 toughness one ability to dash out, and another ability to replenish 50% toughness instantly is. a life saver not to mention closing the distance towards gunners with your melee build is EASY with zealots default ability, it essentially makes you immune to everything apart from, snipers, crushers, a hoard of raggers, trappers etc. and most of those can be dealt with using the stubby revolve theirs not allot that will be able to kill the zealot if you play them correctly one more thing to note attack speed. for our purposes, is the same as having higher crit chance in a way because more attack speed = more damage, but also more attack speed = crating more invocation of death, but you are right inexorable judgement still wont be better then just. flat 15%or 25% crit constantly, at best you get a 20% attack speed buff, and that is at BEST another reason for fury rising is the 20% attack speed you get from it, letting you crit more often and recharge the ability more often, faithful frenzy is also very good, close by and easy to get for an extra 10% attack speed buff if i had 1 extra perk point. i would be tempted to drop desperation from my build and take righteous worrier, or if righteous worrier was the first perk on the blazing piety skill tree i would happily take that as is as well, i just really fund fury rising to be an absolute waste of a talent point

You're missing Enduring Faith (50% toughness damage reduction when critting) which is pretty much a core element to this build, and was the whole point pre-change. Fury of the Faithful allows you to gap close much better than Shrouldfield, and allows almost 100% toughness upkeep. Shield of Contempt allows for a 75% toughness reduction for 4s every 10s (40% uptime) Just losing a whole lot of tankiness here. I feel like Zealot's whole idea with the bleed crit isn't to be an assassin that does a lot of damage, it's to be an unkillable bleed DoT tank.

Fortunately, you can do all of that, while still implementing Blazing Piety, Fury Rising, and Righteous Warrior. For that last point, you're left choosing between Pious Cut-throat or Swift Certainty. I know which one I'm going to pick for my Combat Axe build. It's the movement rate. That's a really good build you've laid out there. Fair enough. I reference the 9 seconds well after I've done it. That 9 seconds occurs from @5:37 to @5:46 and I only have a single backstab kill (@5:45). I don't engage with the enemy until @5:38 so technically it's 8 seconds from inception of gaining stacks of Fury while having dumped Shroudfield back to having the ability back up.

Trust me I run a similar crit build the backstab cd reduction is very easy to trigger in combat. I mostly run an Eviscerator with bloodthirsty but it works with any weapon.

Literally just dodge backwards into a horde and you get free backstabs on command and if you know how to dodge and block you can weave through a horde without taking a hit while doing massive damage in return. If you actually learn the movement and melee of the game instead of just sitting stock still and holding M1 with your gun out until you get swarmed and die you can be extremely effective with melee.

I've run it with Chainsword. It's fun. I liked it the best with Fury of the Faithful, though. I had never played with a Combat Blade until Patch 13. It's pretty fun. I am more of an axe man, though. There are times when I missed it.
