You’re absolutely right. I avoided relapse for a long time for the benefits abstaining provides. But even those benefits are not enough to keep desire away. I’m at a point where I’m realizing living with a moral code and holding myself accountable to a higher power is the way to break this sad, empty cycle.

It is a blessing to find an upright woman to procreate with. Semen retention is not the end all be all, it is a tool to be used until nature takes its course.

Alhamdulillah brother. You are absolutely spot on. I have been on and off on NoFap for years (throughout my 20s) and have always struggled and fell right back into the trap of corn and other toxic habits. This past year I finally pulled myself out of a very dark place by choosing to follow Islam more closely, quit weed completely and started doing semen retention, basically trying to not only stop the corn, but to try desexualize my mind entirely in order to get closer to God. It’s helped me reach a higher level of consciousness (spirituality) and overall given me an inner peace and serenity. It has Mashallah made tremendous changes in my life and it’s like I can finally see clearly a purpose in life instead of chasing these worldly desires that don’t truly make you happy in the end. I just started watching your videos and I want to say thank you for what you are doing and sharing your experiences as I cannot emphasize how helpful these videos are to me and many others. You bringing up religion (especially Islam) is going to definitely get you some backlash (I would expect nothing less from the final and true religion of peace) but know that there are those who are listening and will continue to stay. You’re on the right path homie and I’m sure you feel it. Thought no matter our beliefs, we are all going to make it and become our higher selves, InshAllah.

Aanghel, question for you, in your opinion what's the best way to stop falling for the same thing over and over again (relapse) like it's the same triggers, not necessarily porn but for me it's thought patterns that has me relapse again and again, it always happens after 2-4 weeks, urges come strong, and i can't resist, i don't fight it, i try to let it be but i fail again, it sucks so bad, i hit the gym etc. i love taking the occasional cold shower, what's your suggestions on the triggers bro ? much love...

You’re probably getting complacent during that time and start to regress back into old ways. Really have to stay on it in terms of changing your life. The same way you are driven in the days following a relapse, you should continue that even months in.

We need rules in our lives. Guidelines as you said. Rules are what keep you straight on your path. People usually think of rules as something constricting. Brother, the most constricting thing, keeping you away from your ideal life, is a chaotic life. I'm an atheist. I disagree with you that without god we can't progress. I'm with you though that we need guidelines. Religions provide guidelines. The thing with being an atheist and having rules is that you have to set them yourself. That's what a lot of people struggle with, but that's the gold. Your own rules are gonna be better than those imposed to you by any religion. Just make your rules ironclad. It's easier to break your own rules, but don't forget why you set them in the first place.

You will eventually fold on your own rules since there is no higher level of accountability. It’s the same as when we say we’re going to do something and then eventually slip up. We’re not perfect and will always be subject to that. If we don’t have a higher level of accountability and we fold on these “rules” we’ve made enough times, they will no longer be effective as a guideline because we will abandon them.

So however negatively I impact the world, I will live in that world. I will face the consequences of my behavior because they alter the world around me. Even Jesus wouldn't agree with you it's crazy. He literally says the kingdom of heaven is within you. You have to have a higher perspective in order to understand what he really means by that.
