That cut scene was probably cut for pacing reasons, because it is quite long, which is a shame because it really gives you a feel for what's going on in the land, and how terrified the locals are of the Baron's men. Velen is probably the most tragic land in any game ever made.

@@petrpinc7695 Velen is tragic because elsewhere in the world are places like Toussaint or at least Novigrad, or hell even Skellige. those places are actually pretty decent places to live most of the time. Hey, I saw a lot of theories saying that Gaunter O'Dill's name refers to God. Actually, I do not believe so. In the French version, his name is translated to Gaunter de Meuré, and GDM is not the abreviation of anything (god would be "dieu" un French). So, it may be a coincidence?
I think we can keep finding things until the next Witcher games.

I think the shadow thing is more a practical choice by the devs. . So they were selective where it happens as more of an Easter egg in certain scenes like 2:45 , but they decided to keep the shadows in general because it would just make things visually too weird/awkward if characters like Regis were walking around without a shadow.
@xLetalis

you could be right
I noticed the damage Roach causes now because I ran through a group of deers at Kaer Morhen and there was a strange sound I hadn't heard, then saw there was a dead doe. Took me a second encounter with another group of deers to understand what was happening 🤣🤣 didn't know it worked with foes too... good to know 🤣
A small detail i noticed from a Witcher mod that gives names to characters that should have them, David Artensbrow, the fire breather at the wedding you attend with Shani, is also found in Toussaint, near the palace gardens marker, during the quest where you first encounter Detlaff.
The shadow thing could also be an oversight, CDPR aren't immune to mistakes.

This channel feels nostalgic everytime a Witcher video is out. Feels like just yesterday I played witcher 3. Can't believe it's been 8 years now. I wonder if we will ever get a new one.
My theory is that Vampieres themself don't cast shadows, but every piece of clotheing does. Why should the clothing change when worn by a vampire?
@Wuptidoo
Жыл бұрын
That would make sense as to why the women cover up completely. If their shadow were missing a head and hands, only to show the covered parts. Then again, aren't higher vampires good at illusions?
@yar3333
Жыл бұрын
@@Wuptidoo yes, and I think that higher vampires don't wear clothes, but make an illusion of that! That's why they are not real clothes (though why they wouldn't be able to wear them in principle...). So if it is an illusion, it doesn't cast a shadow, otherwise it does (and this could vary).
Thank you for keep making this for all these years too

@@xLetalis Ah i saw the title. i thought it was for the quest where Roach talks to you in Blood and Wine DLC. Cool stuff man 👍
Man wouldnt it be funny if CDPR came out and said the only reason they decided to not remove the shadows on vampires was because people kept reporting it as a bug. Especially in a cutscene you can notice these things and I wouldnt immediately assume thats intentional
I remember coming across that bandit and peasant conversation after sparring them at the inn at the crossroads and thought, “fck it, I’ll just enter crows perch through the underground again” and slaughtered them all.
CD Projekt Red should put you on their payroll. I found 2 things, but I'm not sure if they were already in the game or new. (sorry for my bad English, I use Google Translate and my own poor knowledge) 1. Sirens can knock you out of your boat. They attack from below and can tilt the ship to the side, and you fall out of it. The ship does not take damage after you fall out of it, it returns to its original position. 2. This is simple and more "old" than a new discovery, maybe I haven't experienced it before. Geralt's new phrase "A storm is coming."
Remember. This man has the best witcher 3 content there is and I'm quite happy to spread word about his channel which I have done many times. Thank you for this awesome content.
I can't even remember the first video of yours I watched. You have done more for this series than any promotional campaign could, and that kind of devotion to any game should be recognized and honored by the people who obviously put a lot of work and love into the creation of this classic and epic game, one of the few that ever repayed its buyers with a game worth far more than its sticker price. Gamers take a lot of heat, and your awesome videos stand as "Defense Exhibit A" in the case of why we don't deserve it. You're a true gamer and a rock star. Don't stop doing what you love. You're the best at this game or any other you've shown. 🎉❤

I actually remember finding the dowry, didn’t know it wasn’t common. Would’ve reported it to you if I’d known otherwise.
In the cut dialogue at the end, the bartender makes reference to "Cemetaurs and Strixens", are those local names for necrophages like Nekkers or Ghouls/Alghouls? I was thinking if those were cut monster creatures it could be a reason why the dialogue was cut, but that does seem like a bit of an over-reaction considering they could just use audio editing to cut that line out instead, so it seems unlikely
