    Your comment reminds me if Mozart. His dad DID treat him like a monkey. Having him travel all over Europe...which indirectly contributed to health problems that caused him life long issues. But...both are wonderful musicians.

    Yeah, The basic Chicken riff isn't that difficult finger-wise but it's easy to lose your place if you don't concentrate. This kid has it all on point and can keep it going for as long as he needs. that's impressive at such a young age.

    I have a new favorite bass player, Richard Bona. He made 8 yr old Áron Hodek feel comfortable on stage, and his smile is contagious. You just see/feel the positive energy emanating from this man.

    Richard Bona gladly lets Áron take the spotlight and plays second "fiddle". He probably has more fun watching Áron play than playing himself. The man has no ego. As good a bass player as he is, he might be a better person. That's the nicest compliment I can give the man.

    Actually The Chicken isn't that difficult to play for a reasonably accomplished amateur bassist but for him to nail it so well at his age, in this kind of pressured environment, is very impressive.

    Having played for about 20 years, and having played this tune about 11.4 trillion times, this damn kid is almost better than me at it. He can't have been playing more than, what, 3 years? He's got such good attack and all those ghost notes and everything, plus taking cues on the fly like that, what a badass! I was still playing with dirt and sticks when I was his age, haha!
