​@@breakfastgun3590 considering Pike Place Fish Market sells Wild Alaskan King Salmon frozen at sea between 27.99-39.99 dollars per pound (depending on cut and whether or not its farm or wild) it doesn't actually seem all that crazy for it to be $56 following preparation. I get what you mean and respect that, but I'm trying to put it into context for others why that cost exists. Wild Alaskan King Salmon (also called Chinook) is the largest and most rich flavored of all the species of wild salmon, the only salmon that comes close to it outside the wild is farmed Atlantic, which is only slightly heavier in omega-3 fatty acids. And that's quite significant considering we're talking about a naturally existing creature at 1700 milligrams per 3 ounces of Omega-3 vs a bred one slightly edging it out at 1800. And those farmed fish generally have (in my experiences) worse types of fats as a result of their diet. It makes Wild Alaskan that much more impressive honestly. Personally? I think if you're going for salmon, find the one you really, really like and stick with it and damn the price whether its low or high. Salmon is a rarity for a lot of people, so im never going to snub my nose at someone. And one more tip, find the type of style you prefer it in. Because more often then not, I find that people only like Salmon in that very specific way to them, whether its grilled, oven cooked, beer battered or something else completely.

The 'Mushroom Joe' that they mention- that's my uncle, when I was younger I helped him weigh mushrooms whenever I visited. He's always gone by 'Mushroom Joe' and he knows mushrooms like nothing else. I showed him his mention in this video, he was very tickled 😂 2021 Edit: Hello all, just wanted to say that Mushroom Joe is still kicking it in Seattle and doing deliveries :) I'm actually visiting SEA and will be tagging along with him this Saturday, he's popping up in a neighborhood to sell mushrooms to locals (something that he also does). I caught onto this series and watched this episode in 2017, when I was 21… I’ve always been a foodie and have loved seafood (especially salmon). For some reason, watching this episode made me start dreaming of living in the Seattle area. Now it’s 2023, I’m 27, married, and have just moved to Seattle with my husband a couple weeks ago. We have already eaten at emerald city and ivars! Next is aqua, which we’ve made a reservation for. It feels so surreal!

Emerald city fish and chips is the best! One of the best cheeseburgers I've ever tasted too!! Weird thing to say about a fish and chip place but it definitely is.

I went to Emerald City Fish & Chips from Turkey after this video and was not disappointed, great salmon!

Ah! I’m so glad you loved Seattle and the food! I thought it was hilarious when they pointed out the tree because it’s just something I see so often it wasn’t out of the normal to me. Plus, when you were talking about the freshness of the fish. It’s so interesting to see the difference in perspectives from people who live here vs people who don’t. I’m not from Seattle, I actually live about 45 minutes away in a town called Tacoma. I hope you’ll visit Seattle another time again though!

RetzamHere Among them is paranoia, and the fact that it's just a good idea to always lock your doors. (inner house doors are flimsy and can be easily broken down, but being locked is in turn a deturant and if broken a really good alarm/wake-up call to arms)

Watching one grown man feed another grown man for satisfying purposes is one of the purest things 😭

I completely agree. I hate almost all of buzz feed's content so I refuse to subscribe, but I always check for these vids. I'd definitely sub if worth it was its own channel :)
