doesn't matter what neighborhood you live in, even if it's considered "nice". LOCK EVERYTHING. ALWAYS.

Honestly I live with my grandparents and they always leave the front door unlocked because "It's a safe neighborhood" They lock the door at night but during the day, It's unlocked unless I lock it. Just because It's the middle of the day. Doesn't mean someone can't just walk in because the door was unlocked.

@@mymelody589 that’s dangerous, and i figure grandparents are pretty fragile, so if someone walked in during the day, it could’ve ended badly since they can’t defend themselves. even if it’s a nice neighborhood, no one needs for them to unlock their doors, it’s a bit dumb and risky to do that

He walked around to the side window and was hitting it, i could hear him making horrible noises. It didn't stop, i was legit terrified i was about to die. I am wondering why the narrator did not seem to realize that the guy at 5:02, and the very first guy in the white hoodie are most likely the same guy. Look at the mannerisms, height, weight and the way he talks, it's all exactly the same. The only thing different is the second hoodie had pictures on the front while the first one did not. He also had on a different pair of pants at the second house. What makes me almost absolutely sure it's him is the fact that both houses were in Toledo Ohio. He tried the "it's me" scam at the woman's house, that did not work. So, the next time he tried the "CPD" scam. The guy he pulled away from the camera was the same guy hiding behind the dumpster. Police need to catch this creep.

I'm surprised no ones invented an Ring type door bell which can spray an indelible ink (like what's contained in bank notes in security vans) so if you feel threatened by anyone at the door at night you could remote control press a button and the camera would spray out the ink in a wide arc and cover the front of the intruder, if its the same ink used in those bank note traps then it takes weeks to be washed off but is otherwise harmless. Certainly make it easy to identify people if they were walking around with bright pink/red/blue dye on their face etc.

The homeowner in the “CPD” story should’ve told them he was getting dressed to come down as he sleeps naked that way those two idiots would’ve stuck around longer thinking they were gonna get in, but in all reality it was a trap to give the police more time to get there. Whenever you’re in a situation where you physically can’t be harmed right away due to there being a barrier between you & the suspect try to keep them talking or give them a reason to wait that way they stick around longer, it gives the cops a better chance at catching them because even if they leave right before the cops get there they’ll still be right in the area instead of them running off right away, the police not catching them because they disappeared & then they go make someone else their victim, time is a big factor in catching suspects, therefore if you can make a suspect wait around without putting yourself in direct danger than it’s best to do everything in your power to keep them waiting as long as possible.

I definitely started running as my life depended on me the rest of the way home and didn't stop until I was inside and locked the front door immediately. For some reason mom didn't believe me and thought I imagined or smth cuz she was laughing at me and I felt like shit and super scared. Luckily the guy (forgot to say he looked hammered or high af) didn't actually chase me (he would've caught me what the hell) but pretended to either to scare me or he was too drunk, high to achieve that. That fire one was hard to watch. We’ve made it through both years of horrendous fires here in Northern CA, but in 2017 an ember traveled over 3 miles landed in our yard and caught fire. We were getting ready for our own evacuations but we were luckily there and put it out. We are still affected to this day and we were some of the lucky ones. Those were phenomenal neighbors.

Not a ring camera, but my family does have cameras around our house. The scariest thing we caught on there was a older guy pounding on the front door early in the morning just as I woke up and the only one home. When we looked back over the footage it looked like he was looking for something or someone since. When he got off our porch and into his car it looked like he had a gun, so it's a good thing I had the sense to not open the door.

For some reason the situation at 8:46 with the guy creeps me out the most with the little detail that he was just sitting in his car when the lady looked out the front door awhile later. Something about seeing the silhouette of that creepy mask in the car just sitting there in the dark. Or the fact that he was probably lingering awhile to see if he wanted to do a second approach. Just eerie.

Brazilian here. It's batshit insane to me how in many of those videos the front or backyard is so open and vulnerable. Here we have houses closed up front, usually with doors, gates, electric fences and sometimes sleep scared of what might happen. Lock everything up, stay safe and never open unless you really know what's on the other side.
