Enjoyed the video. The way you were looking around while enjoying you labor, I kept thinking something was wanting to come steal it. Lol. Looked delicious.

I kept looking around cause squirrels were running by me and I was debating whether or not to grab some extra meat for the freezer! Lol! I decided to stay focused on the tsk at hand and enjoy my experience.

I'm not getting your videos despite ticking the bell, missed this one and a couple of others.

I dropped a really large grey squirrel last weekend with my 16 gauge Ithaca Deerslayer. We hadn't seen any deer and I already have one in the freezer and a big grey came within range so I popped with a load of #7 1/2's. I like cheap pots like this. I found one a while back at a thrift store, an older stainless pot. They've held up better than some of that new "non-stick" nonsense does.

This pot has blown me away. The “strainer” used as a steamer worked flawlessly. I made a point to bury it in the coals to test it’s durability, and I’ve found no weaknesses thus far. I love this old Fox 16 gauge. What a superior gauge… the old Ithaca’s are close to my heart also. 7 1/2 is my favorite load. Lots of lead sent down range where you need it.

Not sure about the mouth organ / harmonica but the hunting and cooking was spot on . Years ago when I was a little boy my uncle took me to a country pub in Rainford ( UK ) and they had Barn Rat pie on the menu . Always remember it and wondered was it really rat or possibly wood pigeon . I was asked if I wanted some but declined very quickly 😂

Never fancied myself a harmonica player. Guitar is more in line with my abilities. There’s also not a lot you can do with a harmonica in a solitary key, but it seemed fitting in the moment 🤣 can’t say I’ve ever had a barn rat, but I would have tried it! Nothing ventured, nothing gained I suppose.
