20:05 Summary and Conclusion
Dividend-paying exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have been growing in popularity, especially among investors looking for high yields and more stability from their portfolios. Monthly dividends can be more convenient for managing cash flows and helps in budgeting with a predictable income stream. These products give greater total returns if the monthly dividends are reinvested
There are many options of monthly dividend ETF funds offered by the major firms, BlackRock, BMO, TD Asset Management. High-dividend ETFs offer a cheap, easy way to add an extra stream of income to the portfolios of retirees and new investors
Investors looking for regular income often lean on dividend stocks. An effortless way to harness stocks that make regular payments is to purchase dividend exchange-traded funds. Dividend ETFs offer a simple and straightforward solution to getting exposure to a specific investing niche.
A dividend ETF can contain a selection of stocks that offer broad market exposure, or that focus on certain sectors based on industry, company size or region. Dividend ETFs, like all ETFs, trade like a stock throughout the market day, whereas mutual funds trade after each market close.
A dividend ETF typically includes dozens, if not hundreds, of dividend stocks. That instantly provides you with diversification, which means greater safety for your payout. Even if a few of the fund’s stocks cut their dividends, the effect will be minimal on the fund’s overall dividend. A safe payout should be your top consideration in buying any dividend ETF
You can typically find dividend ETFs by searching for them on your broker's website. The safest choice is a low-cost fund that picks dividend stocks from a broad index.
What is the dividend yield? This is how much a company pays out in dividends each year relative to its share price and is usually expressed as a percentage. Dividend ETFs can be invested in companies with large, medium, or small capitalization. Large caps are the safest, while small caps are the riskiest

    Great video and while I am a US investor, easily sticking to indexes and ETFs is a sure fire win for the longer-term.. Personally, I invest in VTSAX, VTI and VYM within my retirement accounts and dividend investments outside of them. From there it is all about high quality investments to hold on to for the longer term!

    Except when he stated that the NAV is what the share is trading at. Go ahead check a stock price, and then look at the NAV. If it trading at lower than NAV, you have a deal. If it's higher, you're paying a premium.

    Good video. I like ETFs and especially with monthly Dividends. I hold a few of your suggestions in my portfolio, but I usually go for ETFs with a monthly Dividend over 0.1/share. For instance ZPAY, ZWG, HDIV, HCAL. One stock that is not an ETF, but IMO a good buy, is Neo Performace Materials inc. NEO.

I reinvest my Dividends so I am not really using them for income yet, and have and will sell a stock if I see a drastic lowering or missing dividends. I keep a list of stocks to buy when this happens.

    Mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETF) can both offer many benefits for your portfolio, including instant diversification at a low cost. But they have some key differences, in particular, how expensive the funds are. Overall, ETFs hold an edge because they tend to use passive investing more often and have some tax advantages.

    Excuse me you stated that the NAV ( Net Asset Value) is the price that it's trading at which IS NOT TRUE! You look at NAV to see the value, or lack thereof, compared to what the share is actually trading at. If the share price is higher, you would be paying a premium. If it's lower than NAV, then your getting a discount!! I have never seen the NAV and share price ever!!!!

  • @DanishGhaziCPA

    @DanishGhaziCPA

    2 жыл бұрын

    When looking at ETFs, the NAV is a proxy for the trading price. Remember, NAV stands for Net Asset Value, if an ETF is doing a good job tracking the index, the NAV should be near market price, which is why NAV can serve as a proxy. Always happy to help new investors learn, thanks for your question.
