Looking at the shape Beni was in when he was rescued it’s no wonder he loves his food. I know his diet is for his long term health but knowing myself I would be the big softy giving him treats on the sly. Thank goodness for the staff and their resolve to keep him healthy no matter what he is good hands. Thank you for your dedication to him and all the others!!

It wasn't. She ended up with a fractured arm and, even though nobody saw how it happened, the vets suspected Darril was responsible, possibly when she rejected him. They're not sure but he was strong and getting aggressive then.

Darril will have other girlfriends from now on. He had been released into the wild in June.

Watching that orangutan rinse off her hands in the water is the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen.

Valentino and Jumbo have moved out to Badak Besar Island, one of the pre-release islands, to continue their education. They went there with Cinta, Hanin, Timpah and three others.

True, but I can't believe they just let her run off and get REWARDED for it by getting all of that extra food! If they act like it's just funny and cute, she'll never stop and in the end it will hurt her because she won't be in class learning the skills she'll need to survive. I'm also surprised a problem hasn't arisen of the other orangutans in the class trying to copy her.

@@Simplylemonade2016 he is severy overweight. He weighs almost double the orangutans his age and is the weight of orangutans 1 to 2 years older than he is. If he does keep getting this big at this rate, he will not have enough strength in his arms to support his weight on the trees and will not be able to learn at the pace he should.

It's such a huge difference from when these beautiful orangutans are first rescued and when they are older at the school and actually being cared for properly. These orangutans are much more lively and playful now. That's a great thing to see the changes!!!

I've watched this episode at least a half a dozen times. And I love it every time

If you look into their eyes enough, you will see a form of hominid intelligence as well as sentience, It's a good thing orangutans are peaceful

I enjoy watching this every time. Sometimes I can't even describe what it does to me. I used to want to work with monkeys as a small child and now I am an adult and I still feel it. But then I loved chimpanzees, until a year ago I saw the Jungle School pass by. I'm sold! What a wonderful job. By the way, the voice over makes the videos a lot more fun for me. A very nice voice to listen to.
