So the Final Race of the 750MC Hot Hatch Championship.
I really hope this season has proven just how good this Championship is and the level of competition is. Steve might of come in second in class A, but when he trips into other series for a race or two, he stomps an easy win, fast guys. Hot Hatch FTW!
With Steves off in the previous days race he was starting from the back, just like I did, and did a stellar job of hustling his now duct tape sponsored civic up into second.
I had a cracking first few laps, fun wise, and Marting was holding his own as I was struggling with missing gears down the straights and waiting for the balance to even out across the new front tyres and old rears. It was good fun though!
Unfortunately Martins engine expired in pretty hefty fashion and I was left to chase the lap record on my own.......which we got. So that makes a new lap record at every circuit we raced at!
Huge thanks to all my sponsors, family and friends that helped out above and beyond this year. Its true what they say and you cant win a championship by yourself. Well, if I had a fat enough wallet, no job and no friends I might of been able to, but it wouldn't of been fun haha.
I really hope you guys enjoyed watching the season, next year I hope to step it up again and try deliver more interesting content beyond just race vlogging.
Still more race videos from 2019 coming as I entered a few races in another series, Time attack and also testing the VW Polo R!

Amazes me that youre struggling for sponsorship next year when this is what you can bring to the table. Not just the driving skill and the prep work but this approach to recording should be the future of the sport. Imagine a full field of this view on the sport, does wonders for showing the characters behind it all.

Haha, hopefully someone who's as amazed as you has buckets full of cash! And I think the in car vlogging is going to take off soon. Hopefully I can build up a strong following before everyone does it haha.

@@BenR22 It was something i'd thought about myself, kinda in a Tiff Needell style, but I lack just about everything except a camera until a week ago, so i'll probably be asking how its done in more detail at a later date lol. I'm thibking of doing something similar but from the very start. It makes following the story so much easier, creates guys to root for that you never knew about. The VW series from what Ive watched can get pretty hardcore and a little physical, so the content out of that should be fascinating. Sponsors should know that creating communities following one guy and his team do them very well in the long run

This is brilliant😎 Iv never seen any racing videos like this, where the driver is commentating the whole race,plus you’ve got a great personality and keep it together, even when you’ve made mistakes. Id be swearing and cursing the whole race! Subscribed!

@@BenR22 Well, I think that's understandable with what you have to do, for sure! I struggle to think of anything to say on my content, and that's only virtual racing. So, in comparison, what you do is in itself mindblowing!

Ben, I am thoroughly enjoying your races; I am trying to catch up on all of them. Brilliant coverage and commentary, you give a real insight into club racing and make me wish I'd started racing all those years ago. Wishing you everything of the best for 2019. Great video and driving Ben. Apologies if you've already done this in previous vlogs, but as well as the races it would be awesome to see vlogs on the development of the car. I do the odd trackday and although I'll never be at the stage you are, it would be really interesting to see what changes you make to the car inbetween races and also what spec the car is running (power, brakes etc). Keep up the good work 👍

@@BenR22 Even if you stay behind the camera it would still be very interesting to see and hear more details about the car and it's development. I don't know how secretive you need to be at this level of racing but any info is always interesting/useful. :)
