Watching Clem play makes it feel like Terran is broken. But only in his hands. No one else pulls off what he does so cleanly and consistently. Crazy player.

Dark voting for Dark is so Dark.

You're one of the best casters, Winter. It was really cool to see you casting the B stream of ESL SC2 Masters.

Best part was after game 1 the meme of Dark giving himself a medal.

I feel like sc2 is never going away.

Clem deserves this so much. I'm so insanely happy for him and all of his success lately. Playing at that level through until the end of Serral and straight into Dark while maintaining his insane APM and dodging, ducking, diving, dipping and dodging again throughout the whole 3 hours was truly impressive. Thanks for having that little segment at the end to let us all see how he was when taking the trophy. I don't think dark should vote himself a winner in the future haha PS: Winter, thanks for being such an amazing caster. I love watching these with your perfect commentary

So happy for Clem, he's been my favourite for years, always cheered for him and finally he gets a big trophy. I hope this boosts his confidence so that he can deliver results like this more often in the future.

It's the consequence of nerving the heath of banes. Now terran can kill banes with exceptional micro and zerg has the best tool against mass marines taken away. Banes are not able to close the gap!

Hmmmm.... Zerg gets all of its counterplay to marines nerfed into the ground, and widow mines get buff, and what do you know? The player who has been abusing Marine-Mine for the last decade suddenly skyrockets to to top. I'm sure he must be just putting in extra practice hours, right?

i feel like typically playing two opponents of the same race back to back can be a disadvantage because your second opponent can study your playstyle. however, in this instance, it almost felt like clem was playing vs serral to both beat him and intimidate any other zergs who may want to challenge him

Seeing Dark being dismantled is a very rare occurrence. Congrats Clem!!

The frantic pace and constant action of both this series and Clem vs Serral feels like a new golden era of TvZ. It hasn't been this exciting since TaeJa vs Life imo. And yes the level of play today is better, but these are the series that raise the entertainment bar just like those series did back then

Clem is clearly overloaded on adrenaline lol. He was so overwhelmed he forgot to kiss the trophy lol

No spoilers here (I haven't even watched the video yet), but I think the fact that Dark was the only top 16 finalist in this tournament who picked Dark as the #1 player in this tournament, and that EVERY SINGLE OTHER PLAYER picked Serral is one of the funniest things I've heard related to Starcraft, maybe ever. It's such a Dark response too. It made me laugh out loud, for real.

This kind of hurt my feelings as a Zerg fan, honestly. It didn't feel like Serral or Dark really had an answer for the late game compositions that Clem was putting together.

clem is probably top terran right now, but can't deny this was a patch win lol. Its harder for zerg to defend than terran can. Ghost is one hot key and can attack ground, air, long range snipe brood lords, infestors, ultras. It can also emp infestors and high templars. EMP works just in general for all protoss cuz of shields. If you paid attention serral was playing standard+some aggression vs clem didn't work out. Serral tried to use nerf fungals but clem literally just one click scan everything no skill needed. Dark was very aggressive to try to keep clem on the back foot in his games but it didn't work. They literally played all options you could against terran and still lost lol. Oh i forgot literally one of the games mules literally carried clem to the victory against serral even though he had like no workers lol. But no one can deny if they were in serrals and darks position that they couldn't find an answer to this either lol. They been nerfing zerg cuz serral was playing like a god and didn't have a unit that can counter everything lol.

Mines getting the faster burrow/unburrow buff. Maybe we can have the same treatment for ravager biles? Just 0.1 seconds faster to land would make the unit worth something.

I don't understand why Zergs never build defenses at their base... A few spore crawlers at key points will block all possible drops. They cost a bit of money, sure, but instead of losing dozens of drones and a few queens, plus the larvae it cost to replenish them... I think it's worth it. Thoughts?

if you think about it.. people should always burrow panelings at where one expects the Terran to drop .. and the Terran always drop in the same places. mineral lines... or to attack an expoed overlord.

The hardest thing about playing at LAN is getting used to people watching you. Sure, you might be used to people watching your online games via the broadcast with commentary, or a direct connection to server as a spectator. Like in counter-strike we had HLTV. Basically it connected to the server as a spectator with a 3 minute delay and then people can connect to the HLTV to watch the match. It gives you free roam cameras and first person cams for all the players etc. Point is even if you're used to tens of thousands watching your games online.... it pales in comparison to even just 10 people standing there in person watching you play.

I watched both matches against Serral and Dark and really loved it. What incredible matches, unbelievable. Congrats to Clem and thank you Winter for your amazing casts. One question though; how is the event organized that Clem had to play them both back to back, this seems unfair and a bit inhumane even. These matchups must be draining, Dark was already ahead from this perspective...

Terrans have weaknesses for sure - namely, otherwise great production that takes a longgg time to scale up, marines or mech not being good without investing in the upgrades first, overpriced factory - but the units themselves are hands-down the bests in the game. The only meh/mid tier unit they have is the hellion. Marines, Ghosts, and Mines are all S tier for a reason
