What a masterpiece series!!! I'm speechless at how high a level this series is at. Whatever race you play, you just gotta watch this one. To me this is also the series of the year!

Nice from Serral to write "GG wp gl" and the as the loser to walk over immediatley to Clem and congratulate him and shake hands.

This is the best TVZ of all times, period.

Always been a Serral supporter and while I'm kinda saddened that Serral lost, Clem earned this win.

For such an old game, Starcraft 2 is still so exciting to watch at times. I just wish Protoss was also viable. Stormgate will have a lot to live up to.

The problem of Toss is that it is a very strong race at mid-pro level but when you reach the level of these monsters, the other race are better if you have the APM required. The skill cap for terran is high but the Maru/Clem of this world are so good that they can unleash the full potential of the race which almost no one can. Pretty sur if you let an AI play with no APM limit, terran is the strongest race... but at a human level...it is the hardest race.

@@daominhhuy2011for sur they will be strong but won't obliterate you forget about borrow and medivac pick up. Many shots can be avoided while the blink has a cool down. There will be a tough window for sure but I don't think they would "obliterate everything"

Game 3 was such a great back and forth. So close so many times

Terran counter everything, free scans, free workers=crazy income+army supply, ghosts the best unit in the game, ability to camp to infinity, widow mines, mass liberators with astronomical range

Clem is now the best all around Terran player of all time surpassing Byun and Maru. His game play is so well rounded, whether it be multi prong attacks, defensive styles, hyper aggressive , multi prong harassments while macroing up behind, and you name it.

He is probably playing the best Terran right at the moment, yes. But hes not YET best of all time, because Byun won a world championship and Maru won 7 GSL along with other big tournaments as well. But Clem will have a chance to surpass both of them if he can keep this up for sure.

😂 Solar and Maru are ALREADY Serral killers; they've both done it three times or more. The best series I've ever seen is still Dreamhack Winter 2021, Maru 4 - 2 Serral. You can't pretend that just because Clem won his first [ever] Premier tournament best of 7 against Serral, that this means he's the first/only/preeminent player to do it. He's good, sure, but a few have come before...

kinda smart to recruit competitive SC2 players into the army, they have good self-discipline, reaction time and sense of tactics. btw DVA character from overwatch 2 is a little teenage starcraft 2 pro that was recruited to the army to fight in a mecha because of her skills

clem's cc tactics is so uber.

I think and are under feeling that Serral did play tickle tickle kind of a game with Clem. TH

Zerg have been seeing success with ultras more recently, probably due to a combo of the snipe damage nerf, smaller model size, and slightly cheaper cost. Plus, T hasn't had as much practice playing against ultras in the past, although that seems to be changing. The meta will probably shift again before Katowice arrives. I wonder if part of the solution will be adding in a sprinkle of broods?

nah they can't. they have earpieces for game audio.. then mufflers on top to mute out the arena. As you can see, they never take off those mufflers.

So much class from Serral, realizing how overwhelmed Clem was in the exact moment, to come over and give him a handshake instead of waiting for Clem to come to him

Just clicked to watch this one, and suggested at the very top is the one with the Grand Finals... Please don't have the names of the players when they are at the final stages, just have Semi/Grand Finals (or whatever round it is). Anyway, I will still watch this because all the games between these two are amazing.

Ghosts are imba in the hands of Clem

I'm uncertain whether players can hear the casters, but it seems they might unintentionally provide one player with more information. For example, during this game, some crucial moments were exposed: At 37:10, after Clem's scan missed, the casters revealed that Serral had a Lurker Den and a Hydra Den. At 40:15, they disclosed information about a doom drop. At 1:02:32, they give away an infestor. Do you think imposing a mandatory delay on casters, similar to the delay used by streamers, would be a solution to avoid giving an advantage to their favored player?

Anticipation. They are high level players and they regularly confront each other. And I'm sure you can find plenty of examples where players don't react to information given by casters.

the headphones nowadays have active noise cancelling , you cannot even hear the person talking next to you , only lip reading , i tried one at home and i was mesmerized by the quality of this feature

Is it just me or does it seem like serral gave up a bit too early? Feels like he lost heart.

Zerg doing everything in vain, fungals doing nothing, terran picking up after every mistake, terran turtling and being invincible, etc. This was a terrible game that only showed the imbalance.

Mutas would stop the stupid liberaters aswell and map control and harassment.. geez why?! Why does serral not make mutas?

I think a lot of people don't really understand what TvZ is today. See, in order for the game to be equal, terran must trade incredibly cost-efficiently. Terran must lose only about 75% of what zerg loses. There are a lot of stupid people out there who think it's balanced because terran has all those microable units, like ghosts; they think it's completely fine and fair that zerg gets a larger economy in return to compensate for lower cost efficiency. There is one problem with this: terran army is not intrinsically more cost-efficient; in fact, it's way, way less cost-efficient. To show that all you have to do as terran is look away for a fraction of a second and let the two armies collide on an a-move. See what happens. So the entire premise of TvZ is that terran must consistently perform godlike micro in an attempt to overcome zerg's insane eco advantage (remember, all it takes for zerg to take advantage of that economy - is to produce drones and just let them mine, it's automatic). Terran messes up once - and terran is dead. Clem never messed up. By the way - if zerg messes up terran must still develop the advantage by continuing to micro, macro, and expand. If terran messes up - zerg just morphs banes with all their money and a-moves them into the freshest planetary that terran has. And again. And again. Terran can never recover. Zero micro or brain activity required.
