This was absolutely incredible!! Byun was incredibly strong in the first game, Serral strong as ever. Absolute clash of legends! Loved it!

Great games, solid casting by ZG.

Serral's games have turned from the consistent, robotic, economic, perfectionist playstyle that culls the opponent down little by little (take consistent viper's abduct from mid-end game) then finally overwhelming them after at least 10k resource losses difference into a pure chaotic aggression gameplay with surprises here and there

Great casting as well, fun commentary with good insights in the strategy.

Zombiegrub has come so far as a caster. She has had nothing handed to her, and is one of the if not the only female caster who wasn't picked because she's a woman, or from a famous team half assed "female team" like C9. Valorant, League, CS all held "women only" tournament and actively hired women on purpose, credentials be damned. I can only name 3 women in e-sports who made it themselves and that's Froskurinn, Smix and Zombie. I think continually saying she has to be more like x or less of y, instead of just accepting her as a shade of caster on her own, is ridiculous. She's somewhere on the lower scale of adding historic perspectives (Artosis), middle of skill/pro review (Harstem/Lambo/CatZ etc) and more focused on a play-by-play casting like Tasteless. It's not my prefered cup of tea, but I prefer her to pretty much anyone not also a 6k+ player, and I think she's good enough at the game that her analysis are ok for most who watch. I dip between m1 and GM, so a lot of her analysis is "fill" for me, but when she's talking about value from trades, supply blocks, base vs units and how zerg function early etc she's dead on and I'm sure for most who watch (gold to low master) it adds perspective. Like I said, I love when players better than me cast, CatZ is an MVP in analyzing games as they go, and I'm sure that goes for most top 5% players. But I think she's overall become an excellent caster, and she's being criticized for stuff that other "good" casters are way more guilty of, but don't get the same flac. PiG, Winter, Tasteless/Artosis are way more one-dimentional. I think Harstem/Catz are her opposites in ridiculous anecdotes but deep analysis and no play by play, which is what I prefer. But I still think Zombie is objectively a top 5 caster for anyone not in the top single digit %.

Ye, I'm strongly against affirmative action, but Zombiegrub's passion for and knowledge about the game can't be denied. She makes games feel alive.

Idk what’s with her commentary but it’s so jarring and a bit distracting tbh. “Serral was not prepared but now he is prepared” doesn’t really add much value to the action. Also talking through some important catches where the other commenter Def wants to say something when he goes “ooo”

All commentary is by design useless when you're a decent player. I think she's getting more flac than is deserved...
