The head sculpt for Daryl Dragon of "The Captain and Tennille" was later used as the head for Paul Stanley from Mego's KISS action figure line. They just added face paint and hair.

The Fisher Price Play People were used by Kenner to mock up prototypes for the Star Wars line, and probably inspired the 3.75 scale with an eye on making cheaper and smaller vehicles and playsets than for an 8" or 12" line. Talking of Micronauts, a cool toy line we had in the UK were the Denys Fisher 'Cyborg' line, licenced from Takaras Microman related 'Henshin Cyborg' line. We had three figures: Cyborg, Muton and Android; these were clear plastic figures with interior machinery or visible organs (gruesome Catnip for kids!) and detachable limbs replaceable with accessories available in separate packs. There were also 'Subforms', full costumes for Muton (the Baddie) based on Japanese TV show characters and an impressive flying saucer vehicle, the 'Intruder' with a removable 'Invader' vehicle inside it! A few of these can be a little expensive (Android is probably the hardest to get, having fragile and easily broken spring loaded chest doors and loseable firing missiles) but with a bit of digging you can find items that won't break the Bank! Great video! 👍✌️

I've only just now just become familiar with the "Best of the West" figures, and already I would buy the whole lot you showed. I love how they look. It's a shame how fragile they are after all these years. Loved the video :) I always enjoy these Thanks for the video

The MASH figures are based on the tv show. Alan Alda's face is on the packaging and the figure is clearly not Donald Sutherland as Hawkeye.

Good video, ty. But those MASH figures were released in 1975, and feature package art from the show. You can clearly see a pic of Alan Alda (Hawkeye) and Loretta Swit (Hot Lips).

The M.A.S.H. figures are not based off the movie, they are based off the TV series. The movie had different actors. Donald Sutherland · Hawkeye Pierce ; Elliott Gould · Trapper John McIntyre ; Tom Skerritt · Duke Forrest ; Sally Kellerman · Maj. Margaret 'Hot Lips' Radar was the only character played by the same actor..

The loose versions of Mego “Starsky & Hutch” and “Wizard of Oz” figures can be found for 20 dollars or less. I got my loose Mego “Starsky & Hutch” figures for 39 dollars. I would love to find vintage Charlie’s Angels figures. Hot Lips Houlihan in the “M*A*S*H” movie was Sally Kellerman. The Hot Lips in the “M*A*S*H”tv show was Loretta Swift. Cheryl Ladd replaced Farrah Fawcett in “Charlie’s Angels”

Always learn something new from these videos. That Robin was definitely rough paint wise. Sadly, I think there are many toys and franchises that will be lost to time and eventually forgotten. Even the modern stuff will someday fade from memory. Wizard of Oz toys being that cheap is shocking to me, I know a number of people who are huge fans of that movie. Both old and Young. The face/hair of that Takara Micronaut you showed looked a little like Episode 3 Anakin. Seriously look at it closely.

Vintage action figures are not that hard to find. and not as expensive as many people think. I have a room full of them, and I'm as poor as a person can be. With some patience and a little bit of luck on Ebay, it can be done. I have the Chemtoy John Travolta, Fat Albert, and superhero figures in your video. Very few of them survived from my childhood, so I had to buy them again. I remember them loose at countertop displays at a Kress store near my home. I've had the Dakin Popeye and Olive Oyl for many years. They're still in good shape even after my niece and nephew played with them. I also have those Muppet Show figures. Interestingly, they all have different body types, some with good articulation, and some without. The Hasbro Charlie's Angels dolls I've had since the good old days, and in recent years I manages to get their Adventure Van. Nearly every toy line in the 1970's had a van in it. My Electroman works perfectly. Sounds like a very loud car alarm. I have the Kenner Steve Scout and his pal Craig Scout. I have that Benjamin Franklin figure in the box. I have the Marx Archie figures. Another company named Hamilton also made the Archie figures. They're about 15" tall, and they did make Reggie. I have the Jughead figure. I've had the Marx Captain Maddox and his horse for about 50 years. I've taken good care of them. I have the Mattel Grizzly Adams figure with the Big Jim body. Big Jim is a longtime favorite of mine, and I have a large collection of figures and vehicles. I even have the Tarzan figure with the gorilla. I also have the Mattel Mork & Mindy and Welcome Back Kotter figures. I love the Mego Black Hole figures. I have them all in the boxes, and they weren't expensive. I love the Captain & Tennille, and I have their dolls too. The Mego Our Gang/Little Rascals figures were easy to find and didn't cost very much. I even have their clubhouse with Petey the dog. I've always loved the Remco McDonald's figures, lots of memories. I have the Mighty Max figure, and I like how it looks like a giant Micronauts Time Traveller. I display my Tonka Play People with my Fisher Price Adventure People. Naturally, I have the LJN Rookies, SWAT, and Emergency and Mego CHiPs figures that you mention. Kojak and Police Woman also had action figures. This is my favorite topic. Thanks for the video.

There's a lot out there if people are willing to dig. It's one of the reasons we do the convention tours, gives people a perspective that there's more available than just the big money pieces or modern figures.

Sorry. But the Mash figures are not 60s 1969 figures. The film Mash was released March 1970. The Mash TV show first aired 1972. The figures are oviously based on the TV show, because they look like Alan Alda and Loretta Switt. And have photos from the TV show on the card.

That's interesting! 💡One would assume that the 3.75-inch- (9.5 cm) action figures as well as the vehicles, Robots and playsets of (Takara's Microman) would be more valuable MOC or MIB... Then that of their American counterparts. I wonder if any of (Takara's Micro Change and Diaclone) toys from the 1980s? Which Hasbro rebranded as ''Transformers'' in the U.S, are of any great value?
