Super cool not only seeing these for the memories but also I have nephews that love to play with toys and seeing and checking on some of these online gave me some great ideas for Bday and Christmas gifts for them. Now I won't always go for new in box but man super cool seeing these again.

So many great toy lines in your video. I either had some of them or remember seeing a lot of these in stores at the time. Great memories. Toys R Us was clearancing out 4" Robocop figures for the longest time, and I still kick myself for not picking a few up. I literally had years to grab at least one. I'm not sure what those go for now. I had no idea Irwin actually made a final form Frieza in the DBZ line. I've only ever seen the first and second form versions. I'll have to cruise eBay when I've got a little extra cash. I was born in 1982, so by the time I was old enough for Star Wars figures, they were long gone, so the POTF2 line holds a special place in my heart since it was the first time I had access to that line. Another great toy line from the 90's that's pretty cheap to collect are the Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad figures from Playmates. The 5" line in particular is pretty cheap. I don't really know how much the boxed 8" figures go for because I'm mainly a loose collector, but Zenon and Drago can be expensive unless you buy them in parts lots.

@@OpenByChance Indeed. I don't even bother with modern stuff for the most part because of how expensive it is. If I see something I like at retail, I'll pick it up. If not, I'll do without.

This video was pure nostalgia for me. Irwin Toys actually produced some Dragon Ball Z toys with decent articulation, many were in my collection when I was young. Gundam was also around in the late 90's but mostly the 2000's. Almost all those Spawn and Marvel figures you showed in this video I personally owned. McFarlane also produced anime figures from Akira and original Ghost in the Shell movie. There are toy lines in this video that I am not familiar with. Shocked to hear how cheap several of these figures are. If I ever see them at a show, they might have to come home with me. Really enjoyed this video. Great work and knowledgeable as always.

I remember when I was a little kid my brother loved Dick Tracy and we never could find The Blank. My mom took him everywhere trying to find it. I heard years later that it was only released in Canada or something like that. I also heard The Blank was Madonna’s character in a mask or something because they didn’t want to spoil that she was in the film. Don’t know if it’s true or not, but I once heard an action figure collecting podcast mention that before.

Great video! A girl I dated in high school had a collection of those Sailor Moon figures. She was the first person I met that did action figure photography. She liked to write her own stories and would set up scenes she could photograph to use to illustrate the stories. I think I'm going to see about getting some. Pirates of Dark Water and Earthworm Jim are two I've wanted to start on for a while. I loved those shows. I'm going to have to get started on them. Reboot is the only line you showed that I have a complete on card collection of. The original Spawn line was what actually got me into seriously collecting. There were 34 waves in the line along with repaints and special figures and I have almost every one of them but only a dozen still on card. Most are cheap but there are a couple in the later waves that will cost you over $100 easy. The Tick is another good one you could add to the list.

Thing i noticed about retro figures are they look more bulky, more or less. 90's have better body shape but figures do not stand well or not at all. Retro figures i like about is they're more show accurate. Im tempted to start collecting Neca 80's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wave lines. Thing making more upset about Power Rangers lighting Collection line is, same old improved bad guys from 90's. Ive said no point of having a large hero toyline if it does not have a equal bad guy line to match. Examples would be the Machine Empire family, Divatox, Scorpious, Trekeena, etc. Aswell as Goldar's battle zord Cyclopsus with Lokar included.

You mentioned just about every 90s toy line I can remember. There was a LOT of crap back then, wasn’t there? Dick Tracy is interesting because The Blank was meant to be a main release but held back because the figure’s feature revealed their identity spoiling the movie but when it was time to release, the rest of the line wasn’t doing well so they fucked the 10,000 (I think) they made got chucked at a Sears in Canada. Ronin Warriors is also interesting because half of those were re-released in ‘99 but the other half wasn’t so the half that was is really cheap but the half that wasn’t isn’t
