Where I live, more people speak Spanish only than English only, and basically everyone besides those smaller groups are bilingual (a lot not being fluent in English but knowing enough). I love in super south Texas. When I lived in Idaho, there was a ton of Spanish as well (a lot of families and relatives from the people I live around now would migrate up to where I used to live to work lol). It’s fairly interesting. My son is growing up learning Spanish, though it’s “Tex-Mex” style Spanish....

What I find fascinating is that even though the rat is still flopping around, Mink literally knows it's still a goner and moves on to the next rat.

Hey, theres actually an evolutionary reason for this! Mink are pure carnivores, so when the hunting is good, they need to be able to collect as much food as possible. If they can kill 2-3 rats at a time, it secures their food source for at least a week. Additionally, mink live in relatively cold regions of the world. Because of this, they dont have to worry about their food spoiling. During the warmer months of the year, hunting is good enough that it doesnt matter if the food spoils. They're incredible population controllers. Especially for fast-breeding vermin!

but aren't those rats infested with disease......? i know the dogs don't eat them, but they bite on them enough to create a flesh wound on the rat. licking their blood or something....yuck...... i am sure the guy probably takes all the precautions necessary but still.....what a way to make a living for the dogs lol

Caldera11 Not the channels I mentioned. I also forgot to mention discovery channel. The action is already built in and camera ready. The TV show would give him funds and flexibility. Think Dog Whisperer if you're old enough. There are a ton of realty shows on now about the wilderness and raw nature. It's simply another platform to reach an even broader audience. Imagine if he had the ability to travel to unique locations. Oh well it's just a suggestion. Nobody has to agree or disagree really, no hurt feelings here either way. Thanks for your comment.

Yep ... this is the natural circle of life. Every dog and mink is well taken care of. They get exercise and are stimulated by the hunt of destructive vermin. The vermin are not wasted as they are used of food. The environment and farm animals are not harmed because no poison is used. And we are entertained by watching it on KZread. I hope Joseph can get enough subs and work to do this full time. It's a cool niche business.

Olive seems to have Spanish as her favorite language. It's so good to have a bilingual child. It helps them to develop communication skills way more easily since their brain is using lots of neurons to process two different languages while growing.

Nah, I will conversely argue that it's detrimental to learn multiple languages. Having a second language increases likelihood of language attrition. Being masterful in 1 language beats being competent in two. Being masterful in 2 languages means you should have spent more time learning math instead.

it's because they're related. minks, ferrets, weasels, martens, and otters are all from the mustelidae family and look similar. badgers and wolverines are also mustelids but have more distinct looks.

Actually his wife is from Salvador if I recall correctly but most of her relatives indeed are from Mexico. His daughters have a great way to learn both languages.

The most amazing thing is that she isn't scared at all of the rats nor any other animals. Other kids I know would get nuts.

Please make sure you freeze te rats at the right temperature to not give people infected rats and possibly kill their pet. Also great job working the sights hound, and seeing the little overweight dog have a job is so great!
