I like a good poncho to throw over any top when heading out. If knit with just a crew neckline, a pointed collar can peek out or you can wear different colored/patterned cowls with it.

I really like the Tolsta Tee by Rebecca Clow, I have made 3 DK weight and 1 fingering weight in knitting for Olive pure silk. Great staple item that is very versatile.

Thank you, very useful video. I buy summer cotton works in shops, it is inexpensive. For hand knitting I prefer bourette silk or cotton - silk. Summer tops look similar to cotton, but feel much better, absorb moisture well. Silk is also bactericide. For colder seasons it is reasonable to make fingerless mittens to access phone easily.

Great video! You helped me a lot back when you recommended the ribbed "My Little Secret" top over the stockinette version - I recently made one out of stash yarn (in hot pink), and the fit really is better than a different stockinette top I made, it's already getting a lot of wear (despite being just violently Barbie pink, lol)! You do look good in drop shoulder shapes! I'd guess saddle shoulders with some positive ease would suit your frame equally well. Not sure about raglans... I live in a chilly and damp climate... My most worn knits are 100% wool and I like to knit stranded colourwork. So, here's my "capsule": 2 sweaters: -Otra by Skeindeer, classic drop shoulder, minimalist Norwegian style yoke pattern, light neutral main colour, light sport wt -Silver Forest by Jenn Steingass, circular yoke, only 1 colourwork panel, sage green main colour, heavy fingering wt 1 dress: -Eglantine by Fabel Knitwear, knee length, small simple lace pattern at the hem, dark greyish brown, heavy fingering wt 1 shawl: -Vantage Point by Jill Zielinski, squishy triangular garter stitch beast with some texture blips, dark grey/light grey/beetroot red, DK wt 1 coatigan: -Fjelljakke by Rauma Designs (=Norwegian yarn brand, I'm afraid they only publish in Norwegian), an all-over colourwork ginormity that weighs a full kilogram and almost reaches my thighs, dark grey+white, worsted wt knit up at a sport wt gauge (this thing is practically waterproof and you need something like that over here!) - this is an outer layer that I grab instead of wearing a jacket in autumn or spring. My personal style is often pretty bold compared to my mid-30s peers, I like to dress elegantly and artsy, with small vintage details, and my knits also often show my Norwegian family background. I don't mind standing out, and I don't mind if it looks handmade, I just want it to look EXPERTLY handmade, haha. I also sew a little... That being said, I do know my body type and my "lines", I'm "yang"-leaning in terms of methods like the Kibbe body type thingy, so more on the long&narrow side, so I avoid overly frilly, lacy and romantic things, textures and shapes that look too rounded, or colourwork that is too chaotic. (I'm either a Dramatic, a Dramatic Classic, or a Flamboyant Natural in Kibbe terms, still haven't figured it out completely, but I know I look good when I respect my elongated vertical lines and go for well-structured looks, nothing too short or fluttery.) Knowing all these things usually gives me a pretty good idea what patterns and designs work for me, I can modify them to fit my body anyways, but no modification would probably change a silhouette entirely. When it comes to building the perfect handmade wardrobe, I found these to be better things to consider than colour. I found it often pays to go outside my comfort zone with colour a little, but stay firmly inside it when it comes to silhouette and fit! Just thought I'd leave that here, seeing as most "capsule wardrobe" tips seem to consist of 100% neutral colours and that might feel restrictive, hehe...

I have a self drafted raglan tee that I wear a lot! It’s the first full size garment I’ve ever knit, so it’s not the best but it is comfy and cute so I’ll wear it! 😂 I’m finally making myself a hat after spending the last two years lallygagging and I’m hoping to have it done before I go camping in two weeks!

These are excellent wardrobe essentials especially the tanks tops.

I made a long sleeved shrug (sleeves connected across the back to cover the shoulder blades) and it works super well for outfits with waistlines at weird heights or if you need something small to put in your bag
