No one has any right to hit a horse. The tourists are on the horse's patch.

I cannot think of any other country where such disrespect to a highly trained guard and horse would be tolerated in this way.

You never hit a horse in the face for any reason. Light or not.

It totally amazes me how these people have no fear of repercussions. No respect or common sense of a huge horse with a guard and sword. There should be consequences for each and everyone of them. They are not decorations they are guards

Yup, many of the tourists treat these guards and their horses as if they're some kind of objects to be used for their vids/pictures. Every one that I've seen so far deserved to be yelled at because of their selfish and entitled behavior, such as touching the reins.

I like this guard basically tells them and their IG photos to eff off. Way less tolerant than other videos to the tourists' antics.

Slapping at the horse should be considered assault. The guard owes it to his horse--his partner--to respond the first time she did it. None should be acceptable.

Every time I see this video, watching that girl slap the horse really winds me up . I want to give her a slap. Why didn't the guard stop her the first time?. He let her do it 3 times before shouting.

Unfortunately it seems like too many people these days want to get too close or just don't respect man and beast. It may even be the case that youngsters are deliberately antagonising the guards in order to create a viral video. Surely it's time to think about drawing a box on the ground so that people keep their distance.

Because other country's they can't get near them and have photos they need to stand back from our garda and horses there doing there job they take it as a joke when they come to UK

The girl who slapped the horse 3 times is lucky the horse's temperament was kinda calm. My sister's horse would have gone for her after the 3rd slap.

I had a bit of a visceral reaction when I saw that girl hit the horse. I think they didn't realize that's what she did at first.

I've got a great sign: "FOR THOSE TOO OBTUSE TO REALIZE IT, THE GUARD AND HORSE ARE DOING A JOB: SECURITY. THEY ARE NOT HERE AS A TOURIST ATTRACTION, ARE NOT TO BE SURROUNDED BY TOURISTS, TOUCHED, OR THE REINS OF THE HORSE TOUCHED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND COOPERATION. VIOLATIONS WILL BE DEALT WITH IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER.

Someone posted reciently that the guards where a "tourist attraction, nothing more". How about that concept based on nothing.

Finally a guard telling these rude tourists to “back off”!

The song " Don't stand so close to me" pops in my mind. Please respect these Guards and their Mounts as their Duties are so noble and admired.

I would have totally shout out to the guard that she slapped the horse the first time.

When you got to put up with tourists all day when your trying to do your job at some point you will get fed up with them coming to close I don't blame the guards one bit

It's really ashamed how these tourists are, they have absolutely no respect for the guards or their horses. Has anyone noticed how much they make fun of the horses and the guards?

@@geniawheddon7402 exactly. I heard a group of Germans who were laughing their heads off. People here were carrying on about “disrespect” and “Disneyland” in the usual way, but in fact the Germans were laughing at one in their group, teasing him that he could never be as fit as the guard on duty.

I love that guard, he does not allow anyone to harm his horse or to go into their private space.

It so disrespectful the way so many tourists behave and have no respect for these highly trained kings guards and the horses are beautiful but surely so many people touching and rubbing the horses overwhelms them after awhile...these guards are on duty and need to be respected not made fun of they are doing a service and when they get a booming voice shouting at them then they have asked for it and brought it on themselves...how many times must people touch the reigns when they have been told not to..boggles the mind

They know there are no real repercussions coming, so there's nothing to stop people of that mentality- except to react with the only language they understand- and shouting is obviously no longer enough, as the drama for You Tube is worth any non-existent 'risk' involved.

They should not be able to touch the horse. There should be a sign saying do not touch the horse.

@HausMaster I was at the vets with a horse that was having his hind leg scanned. He suddenly kicked the scanner wand right out of the vets hand without touching his hand at all! That's how accurate they can be

Apparently people can't read the sign right next to the horse.

This is the right guard to deal with Karen....

I think I would rather go into battle than contend with a full shift exposed to the narcissism and stupidity of many tourists!

I like this guard.

I guess the first guy didn't understand how much work it takes to achieve that shine on the boots when he nearly backed into them.

It’s annoying that all the young people don’t stand on their own feet, hanging against the horses and when the guard tells them to step back they start laughing. For me it’s stupid behavior. They also try to stand in the archway, when the guard told them to step back they start laughing. If they do this as school trip: teachers, tell the pupils how to behave. Tell them that the guards are WORKING as well as the horses. There must be a way to explain tourists before they start their visit that you keep your hands on your back. If you are looking at something and I walk around, start to touch your hair, your glases, how are you reacting? PLEASE TOURISTS STOP STUPID BEHAVIOR! I don’t touch you so don’t touch me. I am glad you told the police officer about the girl swatting at the horse three times. There needs to be some sort of disciplinary action taken against her.

Foreign tourists are so rude and ignorant. If we were rude and ignorant like that awful girl hitting the horse we would be arrested in their country. WE ARE TOO SOFT!!!
