So glad someone else payed attention and knew this answer! And if you don’t like everyone getting a shot at fighting Buu…..skip the episode and move on. I enjoy all the fights and it gives others things to do in the story.

I would make vegito behave as his own entity who is aware that he exists because of goku and vegeta, but believes he is his own entirely different individual. and make Gogeta behave as venom from spiderman referencing himself as “we” understanding that he is both goku and vegeta operating under that duality.

Raditz being gokus brother is the reason he came to earth in the first place, if he never came neither would napa or vegeta, goku would never stop frieza, he’d get all the dragon balls game over

Frieza only knew about the Dragon balls cause of Vegeta and Nappa talking about them after Raditz died. So if Raditz never came nobody else in the universe would know about them. Also Raditz could of come just because they needed another Sayain for the mission they were going to do.

I disagree a little bit with the raditz point. Making him Goku's brother wasnt entirely useless because it served as a way of introducing the saiyans. I dont think vegeta and nappa knew goku was sent to earth until raditz said so but i still do think they could have written it a different way to make it work as raditz not being his brother

Its kinda easy to disconnect raditz from the bloodline. He explicitly stated that goku was his brother, and he doesn't care to know even with the information now. Not only that, but I think it would be better if it was kept secret until Vegeta becomes an Oozaru because it would instantly click in his head that the two have something in common, despite only realizing each other's existence that day.

To add to that, because Raditz is Goku's brother he knows that he was sent somewhere before Frieza blow up planet Vegeta. Also this is the reason Raditz was more determined to fine his brother. Think about it. No one knew Goku was on Earth, they thought it was just Raditz, Vegeta and Nappa left. Lol look how long it took them to find Broly.

Just make it so Raditz headed to Earth looking for "one saiyan survivor" that has nothing to fo with his bloodline. Plot literally stays the same. The problem is not only thay Goku has no connection to Raditz, the problem is that Raditz himself has no connectiom to Goku. Raditz himself says that he doesn't care for Goku the moment he refuses to go with him, and the only relevant aspect of their bloodline relation is when Raditz asks Goku to release his tail asking for forgiveness because "I'm your brother :c"... again, just make it a generic sad puppy face moment and the plot stays the same. At least if Goku showed some interest about his saiyan past or he asked Nappa and Vegeta about Raditz, and even his parents, it would make more sense, but that doesn't happen and Goku shows literally as much interest in being Raditz' brother as Raditz showed interest in being Goku's lmao

Honestly, I would disagree with the 3rd form Frieza addition in the list. After Piccolo started getting the upper hand on him, he then went to his 3rd form to let them know that he’s still stronger. After that he beat up Piccolo and shrugged off Gohan’s attack, he transformed to his Final Form just to show them that they were even further outclassed than they already were. It served to instill fear in them. I believe that the 3rd form was necessary to show that they still aren’t strong enough, also serving as a precursor to his final form, basically saying no matter what they do, they could never hope to beat him. I loved the video though, you have a new subscriber.

I'd say that still somewhat drags the pace of the fight to a bit of a repetitive crawl though, even for as quickly the 3rd form came and went: ---Frieza underestimates the Z-Fighters for a bit ---The Z-Fighters surprise him briefly but fail to maintain the upper hand ---Frieza transforms, even though he could probably defeat them all in his current form ---Rinse, repeat The 3rd form didn't really add much different aside from setting up the subversion behind his final form being smaller and sleeker instead of bigger or tougher looking, hell, it's shoved aside after barely 2 chapters of mildly wailing on Piccolo

Tien and Yamcha shouldve learned the Kaio-ken after training with King Kai. I could understand Piccolo not getting it but those two need anything they can get Yeah, they would still be pretty outclassed overall but at least its SOMETHING. Plus it would just be cool It just bothers me how their training essentially amounts to nothing and is never brought up.

If Goku used the super kaioken against Cell then you can might as well make Cell use it too. I actually like that Goku only uses it in the other world cause it doesnt put much strain on his dead body

This right here is why goku didn't use kaioken while in ssj in the first place, because it would have killed him practically instantly due to the strain which his dead body in otherworld could handle on top of the fact that goku had practically infinite stamina while in otherworld making ssj3 feasible without a tail ( a saiyans tail is linked to how saiyans recover stamina quickly, theory)

If Dr. Gero's robot bug went to Namek, then Cell would have Capitan Ginyu's change ability.

How would the cell spy drone make it back to earth?

even better... if Dr Gero had his robots spying on the Z fighters the whole time... wouldn't they have gathered at least some information that they were headed to Namek??? ....and then snuck a few tiny spybots on board both, the old Namekian ship and gokus capsule

two things: 1: it is stated that Gero's computer was the one leading the Cell project on it's own, it is likely that Gero just didn't check the data before their first attack in an act of arrogance. 2: even if they did follow them to Namek, how exactly would they get the data back, when the planet and everything within it got turned into space dust by the end of it?

The cell they fight is from another timeline where goku kills king cold and frieza so gero probably knew about ssj while present gero didn’t

I pretty much agree with all of this if we stick to a "Basically keep what is there but just make adjustments along the way" approach. If you start to talk about drastic changes....I'd have a couple of hot takes. If I were in the position to make the decision....I would have ended Z after the Freeza arc, with everyone waiting for Goku's return. FROM THERE...I would just continue the franchise in the form of a series of feature films serving as sequels to the show. I would never introduce wonky, hard to manage concepts like time travel and alternate timelines into the mix. The various movies show us how different concepts from the anime could be played out in shorter, more concise stories. The two Cooler films are riffing on the idea of Freeza returning. Super Android 13 is basically a riff on the concept of Cell. The first Broly movie is just plain awesome. Fusion Reborn kind of riffs on the Buu arc, etc

The Freeza fight in the anime was so stretched with fillers like mountains blowing up, lava eruptions, tornados forming, Goku and Freeza staring at each other that it became boring after so many episodes, and the 5 minutes didn't even make sense anymore, if anything it made Freeza looks like he was on the same level as SS Goku. The manga 5 minutes was more believable, as everything happened in quick succession and Freeza was kinda keeping up with Goku at the very start of his 100%, but was worn out after the Nova Strike/Kamehameha clash and got stomped afterwards.

i dunno, goku was spitting a lot of fire in that fight and without the time to think about what was being said by both parties(and the environment setting the mood), i think it devalues the meaning of the individual interactions.

Philosophy doesn't always make everything interesting, the fight got boring because it was too dragged on. And the show isn't about philosophy, you're just looking too deep into it

I disagree with your take on Freeza’s third form being superfluous. In my opinion, his transformations served as a way for Toriyama to go against reader’s expectations. Each transformation results in Freeza getting larger and more monstrous in appearance. When Freeza declares that he will transform into his true form, the audience is lead to believe that he will become even more imposing than the previous forms. However, the twist is that his most powerful form is diminutive, sleek, and unimposing in appearance. The third form does it’s job in building up the audience for that dramatic twist. Toriyama tends to do that in his works.

The point of Raditz being Gokus brother is to make it so Goku rejects his nature as a Saiyan and realizes that his race and his blood family werent actually good people, it gives more impact to the person Goku turned out to be by showing us almost what he couldve turned out as if he didnt get sent to Earth. Still probably coulve been hanlded way better, especially with how little of an actual character Raditz is, but him being Goku brother isnt pointless.

what are you talking about? Goku gets absolutely clobbered by tao's dodonpa, trains, and can later just fucking tank it. having a bigger number is all that mattered even in the OG. Goku didnt learn the timing of the dodonpa to dodge it and attack tao while he is in the weak defensively dodonpa pose, Goku did not find a cruical weakness on the dodonpa that would allow him to deflect it back at tao to defeat him. he just raises his number and the dodonpa is no threat anymore.

Some things I'd personally change: - Either tone down the newly introduced forms in the Buu arc, or just give them more of an impact. I liked the start and end of the Buu arc, but the middle section is bloated with too much new features, which ultimately didn't really have an impact on the story or progression whatsoever. Thankfully Super/GT did improve the fusions but in Z they overall feel pretty undeveloped. Also I don't understand what's the point of the potara fusion being seemingly permanent, when they unfuse upon being absorbed anyway. This actually makes me not mind it being retconned in Super - I'd make Majin Vegeta's sacrifice a bit more impactful. Make him actually injure or make Buu vulnerable, so that maybe he doesn't die, but is weakened to a point that other characters can deal with him. It's a great scene in terms of his character arc, but this change would make death feel more impactful, especially if he didn't come back for a long time. - I wish the Kaioken was used more after the Namek saga. I understand why Goku stopped using it, because SS is simply just better and stacking both on top of them would tear his body apart, but does this technique have to be limited to Goku only? What if some of the Earthlings adopted the technique? Since they can't turn SS, giving them this temporary boost would give them more opportunities to fight against strong enemies - I'd avoid having multiple types of Dragon Balls. I liked it when in the og Dragon Ball and in early Z, there was only one set, and consequences felt more important, since the dragon had its own limitations and there was no sneaky workaround around them.

It was never explained how Goku got the heart virus, but The Team Four Star made up a reason of too much cholesterol.

Ive always hated how they didny give the human characters who trained with King Kai the kaoken technique. It would have been a great narative way to keep the other characters relevent... imagine they took a path whereby they somehow could use the multipler even above x20 in short doses... wasted opportunity IMO

funny thing is though, since they say that goku is using the kaioken against frieza but it's invisible, you can just assume all the other people are using it. and honestly, nothing would change, so what you said is basically canon already since there's nothing that contradicts it. lol

What I would change is accentuate the fact that being above 1k power level is not the norm. We get the line on namek that Ginyu Force members are mutants of their species, they say it themselves and that's why they are so strong, they even say that Goku might be a saiyan mutant after seeing how strong he was. In an interview Toriyama said that Frieza and Cold are mutants of their spieces and no other member of their spieces could even become so strong. If anime/manga accentuated it abit more it could have been a perfect explanation as to why Vegeta was saying that Saiyans are such a big deal. I mean outside of Ginyu Force, Zarbon and Dodoria all Frieza strongest soldiers had a power level of 1000 while low class Saiyan warriors were atleast 1200 and strong Saiyans were atleast 3000 which is impressive since there's a whole planet of them and they can go great ape mode.

If raditz wasn’t his brother he wouldn’t have come to earth

i would fix the power system scaling. because it came from being skilled and strong to just being strong. i wish the power creeps werent too far off. this leads to many characters becoming irrelevant and not having time to shine. i get a bunch of shonentards love that aspect of dragon ball but to me it just gets old after a while.

6:23 Kaioken is a technique that destroys the user's body, because it multiplies the user's strength in an unnatural way. let's say we use Goku's power level against Vegeta as an example, and the reason why he couldn't use the technique more than times three without major consequences is because his body then couldn't handle so much unnatural power duplication, while Super Saiyan is a natural way to multiply strength for the saiyans, and it doesn't destroy their body. Now if Goku used that technique in his Super Saiyan state it would destroy him right from the inside, his body wouldn't be able to survive an unnatural hundred times multiplier from his base form, because with Kaioken the whole multiplier becomes unnatural and it would attack the body, like if Goku would go Kaioken times 100 it would be the same effect, and that would burn him from the inside and he would probably die.

Got some good points.. I would just make Z end after Cell. I know Toriyama said Dragon Ball wouldn't work with Gohan at the head of it, but I think that's basically bs. Of course, that means that you have to change the story a bit, because Gohan is not a hardened fighter like Goku was. So he's not driven by a desire to get stronger just to get stronger. Personally, the series could have benefitted a bit from more comedy and romance, but that doesn't mean you have to take the fighting out entirely. Something more like original Dragon Ball would've been just fine. Keep SS2 as the peak form, focus more on character development, actual martial art choreography, not just action figure antics, funny skits, a powerful baddie here and there that doesn't take themselves so seriously, some romance, and yeah.. I think it could work. 🤔 I think that's one of Super's problems right now. They keep writing themselves into this corner of getting stronger and stronger, universal this and universal that.. it gets kinda dumb. Surpassing Super Saiyan was enough and it made sense to have a definitive level beyond the legend, but all the new forms truly are superfluous and mean very little now... something you kind of brought up about Freeza.

No one really understands Toriyama. I won't doubt the fact he is a legend but some of his work is ridiculous

Would’ve better written the ultimate Gohan moments. I get Toriyama decided to switch back to Goku but made Gohan look terrible in the process to do it.

1. Raditz sorta started the biggest domino effect in the series, plus why would he know who goku was and if he was alive possibly if they weren't closely related? 2. I could see why you would wanna remove 3rd form freeza but I dont really mind him being in the story. 3.Was skeptical at first but thats actually a really good idea. 4. Kinda worsens the impact of Ssj2 cause super saiyan+kaioken would be almost as strong. 5. I agree but what I would do to sort of remedy this is to add more villains to the saga 6. He coulda been a bit like roshi where he had multiple students. He also definitely shouldn't have abandoned his family and friends. 7. agree. I would make it so the namekians are stricter with how they use there dragon balls. Or mabye sometimes they decide to just let people rest in peace

For the Raditz bit, there could’ve easily been an excuse about Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz searching planets for any surviving Saiyans, and Raditz just so happened to get lucky when he arrived on Earth. No brother plot twist necessary. And for Kaioken, I think it would’ve been pretty cool and wouldn’t have lessened the impact of SSJ2 at all. Especially since it can only be used in short bursts.

So much changes if Radit, isn't Goku's brother though. -Gohan would never have gotten as strong as he did as he would be mostly a bookworm. -Piccolo would have fought Goku again for revenge at least once more. -Gohan would have been more of a scholar than in canon so he would be weaker and wouldn't be able to write a book on ki. -The Great Saiyaman wouldn't exist so he prob wouldn't get with Videl meaning no pan. -Trunks would never have been born. -Krillin's potential may never have been unlocked. -Shenron would never have gotten an upgrade. Etc

Power levels and multipliers should never have been a thing, putting a definitive number to a character's strength and how it compares to another really forced the power creep to grow faster and bigger than if they were simply vague of how strong a person was or how much a transformation increased their strength. Even though they stopped using it after the Namek saga, the damage was already done, any human being able to compete with a Super Saiyan is considered bad writing because we already have a precedent of most pre-Namek humans maybe topping off somewhere below 500,000 while Super Saiyans are in the damn 10s of billions at the weakest

I'd give more importance to some supporting characters in the classic Dragon Ball, who were simply discarded: Nam and Giran would be classmates of Krillin and Yamcha at Master Roshi's school. Lanfan would also appear occasionally as comic relief, but whenever she got close to Master Roshi, Lunch would chase her away! Bandages, Devilman, and the Invisible Man would be Z warriors on Uranai Baba's side. Shura would have allied with Piccolo to defeat Goku and participate in the fight against Raditz. Later, he would face Dabura for the title of the true king of the underworld. Upa would become a disciple of Master Korin, contrasting with Yajirobe, being the disciplined student of the immortal cat. He would be an active Z warrior and just as present as Krillin. Bulma would somehow meet Android #8 and use Android #16's technology to enhance him. Eventually, this "New Android #8" would become a time traveler and help defeat Cell...

I must be older. I first watched it when they had the ocean dub. It would only go up to the ginyu force arrival then start over from raditiz. It was before the video games. I had to import the Japanese video games from a local video game store for the Playstation. They only could get 2 games ultimate battle 22 and Gt final battle. Not many other kids knew about dbz when i first got into it. Then over the years it blew up.

The fact that not one of you're 7 things I'd change is it takes 10 episodes to shoot a Kamehameha makes my wiener sad.

If Raditz and Goku weren't brothers Raditz wouldn't have gone looking for Goku, so that is kinda necessary. Also, in the scenario you described Gero wouldn't have been able to acquire Freeza's DNA because the drone carrying the sample would've been destroyed before making the return trip to Earth. Rather than cut out Freeza's third form, I'd extend the screentime it gets by having Vegeta's beat down be at the hands of 3rd Form Freeza and have Goku enter just as Freeza completes his final transformation.

God, finally someome mentions how useless Freezer's 3rd form is. Besides DBZ Kai abridged joking about it, it literally had no impact on the franchise, and also makes Freezer kind of a bad joke "I can transform", "Oh but I have 2 more forma", "Behold my third form", "Now this is my final form", "I will figth only with my legs", "Behold the 20% of my power", "Now I will use 30%" etc, etc, etc. How many times does Freezer need to explain his power and "power up" in the same figth lmao? Also, I believe not only Dr. Gero's robots should go to Namek, but we should be introduced to them in saiyan saga. Not explicitely, not a direct explanatiom by the narrator/Toriyama, no, but shown them you know? Like, during the Goku vs. Vegeta figth, the camera focuses in that little robot. Whrn Raditz arrives, we are shown a lottle robot thing zooming in that peculiar extraterrestial visitor. This would serve the same purpouse as the abandoned time machine in Cell saga, the spectator would start wondering what are those things, what purpouse do they serve, are they evil? Are they even relevant? When the saga ends and you receive no explanatiom whatsoever, doubt will just increase. Also, a little scene of those robots reaching a body would be 100% welcomed because look, I may not be a genius like Gero, but I am sure that you can't collect DNA just by watching, specially if you don't go to Namek

The pivotal point between the 1st half of dragon ball and the 2nd half is the arrival of raditz who not only introduced a new level of power to the cast but also was the messenger for goku's origin along with an explanation for the oozaru form to the cast

Another thing I would change is get rid of SSJ3 entirely. It completely kills the impact of Goku vs Majin Vegeta if Goku had a trump card the whole time.

9:44 Goku didn't leave the planet he's just in a different location than usual, I don't know why this is so hard for people to understand, he's still there and can teleport, plus Pan trained her flying in those episodes by flying around the world, and was implied that she did it in a very short time, it would certainly not be difficult for her to feel where her grandfather is, and go to be with him and train with him. Anyway Akira Toriyama didn't know how to end the story, he made the ending just to end the story because he was tired.

I'd change Freeza's death. His death should be wayyy more epic with a war between the Z fighters and the Freeza Force with Trunks's help. Freeza deserves a glory death, not just being sliced in like 5 seconds. It also will balance the power scalling because there's no way 2 random people with cybernetics enhancements from a deadass underdeveloped planet can be stronger than the emperor of the universe, who has the top technology of the universe in his hands.

4:15 I want to give my suggestion on how to fix this part of the story so that the bug robots don't go to Namek. First, those robots would not be able to follow them, because they were going on a long journey through space, and such small spies made with limited human technology would not be able to survive that journey, even if they hid in the ships in which our heroes arrived, because all our ships were destroyed and bug spies wouldn't have survived, though let me go back to fix this plot hole in the story. It's really simple, as I recall that while Cell was explaining how the computer that maintained his larval state until he grew up, could also be directly connected to those bug robots via a computer-driven autopilot, and that those same cameras that collect information and DNA of our heroes including Frieza and his father and gradually upgrade Cell over time, and for that time Dr. Gero would be busy with other androids, and the data he had about Goku's fight against Vegeta the last time recorded, and to speculate how much Goku could get stronger in a certain amount of time, and how much the already recorded tricks up his sleeve (Kaioken,Spirit bomb) would help him, and Dr. Gero could leave the computer on auto pilot to finish Cell's growth and programming and to improve him over time, and this way the story can go on the same course with good reasons.

Make Chi-Chi a Z fighter. One of things that Goku finds attractive about her, is her strength and skill. She even fights him in the World Martial Arts Tournament to make him keep his promise and marry her. And then she just gives up fighting? She has so much potential and they just throw it away.

if i could make one change to Dragon Ball it would also be that death has consequences. however, simply putting a cap on the amount of times a person can be brought back would feel kinda arbitrary. so instead: Cell uses instant transmission to teleport to the lookout. to destroy the Dragon statue, before Dende can use it to revive Shenron. another idea i had was that the Dragon Balls/Shenron never existed in the first place. which would require the series be renamed. and a lot of other changes be made. but giving death consequences would probably be worth it. edit: one final option. probably the best option. is that Dragons can't revive people. (maybe only their creator? if that?)

3rd form was already stronger than Piccolo so it showed that Z fighters were F'd but then him transforming made the situation seem even worse for our heroes. It wa scary, remove 3rd form and the horror is gone. Gero had no idea about SSJ because he never seen, Cell was created by Geros computer that collected the info from Frieza vs Trunks, Gero himself had no idea about it.

Raditz introduced the entire race that Goku is from, and he sets up Vegeta and Nappa, he sets up the entire show.

There is meaning to goku having Uub as like his own disciple. Pan is just his granddaughter, and she'll always be special to him, doesn't matter if she likes fighting, her being like the most important character in the future is the most boring lame ass nepotism shit that could happen. Uub isn't a random guy, he's the reincarnation of Kid Buu. Throughout the entire franchise, Goku doesn't end most antagonists: Oolong, Yamcha, Tien, Piccolo and Vegeta and they all become good guys, he tries to spare frieza as well, until he realizes that Frieza will never change and he is forced to kill him(he is right because frieza does try to come after him again, once as mecha frieza and also in resurrection of F, but DBS makes goku dumb and goofy for no reason and forgive frieza and stunts his character growth), when he encounters Kid Buu, he realizes that Kid buu is so chaotic and hard to reason with that there is no good in him, and he even says that the only way he's gonna be a good guy is if its in his next life, so he wishes for Buu to be reborn and tries to train him to see for himself, and see if his philosophy about people and change.

All good it’s going to be Goku who defeated majin buu plus he can’t find his granddaughter because she’s too young. The other guy is much older.

Raditz being Goku's brother and third form Frieza are just there to sell issues. Goku having a brother WHO IS EVIL is a good hook to keep people coming back, while Frieza having another form is also to up the tension, which hooks you into coming back. Goku not using Kaioken is purely to show progression. Super Saiyan was the current, best multiplier, so why would Goku go back to an older thing, even if it was to stack on top? It makes sense to us in hindsight to use it on top to get a bigger power buff, but at the time it was just... not something Toriyama wanted to do. He, and most readers at the time, would just see it as going backwards, especially when the Saiyans were looking to advance their Super Saiyan form, not try to buff it with outside means. Gero not knowing about Super Saiyan, but Cell knowing, while others have mentioned is because Cell is from another timeline, is very likely just a case of Toriyama forgetting what he wrote. The man is infamous for never planning ahead much and has openly admitted to forgetting a bunch of stuff. Now, if it were up to me, I'd of just ended Dragon Ball at the end of the Cell arc. Goku stays dead, Gohan is the new hero of Earth, just cut it there. We didn't need the cluster bomb that was the Buu saga, and Toriyama getting cold feet about Gohan. Yes, I wouldn't missed out on THE GREAT SAIYAMAN, which I honestly have come to love so much, but it would have been a better ending.

Plot holes I’d fix Saiyan saga Raditz telling goku planet vegeta blew up 3 years because that would make goku 3 years old Namek saga Krillin Bulma and Gohan would’ve spent a year on Namek since popo used the earth dragon balls during the goku frieza fight when they said the earths balls only can be used annually and the used it to wish goku back to life right before he fought Nappa and Vegeta. In vegetas flashbacks on planet vegeta he doesn’t has his tail Why did all the nameks come back when they wish all people killed by frieza to come back? Wasn’t frieza men who killed the nameks? Cell saga The whole trunks timeline irritates me. If you change the past, that should automatically change the future. After baby cell was destroyed by krillin. Future Cell should have ceased to exist. Instead having cell come from the future from 20 years, and because he has piccolo’s biology and hijacking another future trunks Time Machine was so frustrating. He grows in 3 years in the present timeline. By the time krillin and trunks finds cell underground bunker, it’s too late. Cell is already on the lose and that’s how they partially discover who he is. Now I know what you’re thinking. Where was cell in future trunks timeline if he’s born in the present time. Well remember when 17 killed gero in the future timeline? 17 and 18 knew about cell and knew he was supposed to eat them but they never destroyed him which makes no sense. So here in this future timeline the kill the baby cell growing along with gero. The blow up the whole lab not even knowing they blew up 16. They didn’t do this in the present timeline because they didn’t get time to discover the underground bunker because remember trunks blew up the top part of the lab trying to kill them. Goku dying by cell makes no sense. He literally could’ve sent cell to the moon or outer space and teleported back to earth. Cell learning instant transmission from goku touching him was stupid and keeping his perfect form was stupid after throwing up 18. Just doesn’t make sense. And if you’re going to say he needed to lack on to somebody’s ki ok he could’ve taken king Kai, bubbles and Gregory to king yemmas. Another thing, why are there living beings in other world? Isn’t other world supposed to be heaven in dbz? Buu saga Scrap the whole great sayaman thing. Gohan is the golden fighter and wears his saiyan armor from the hyperbolic time chamber when fighting crime. Goten doesn’t become super saiyan especially without knowing how to fly. Gokus family is allowed to visit him in other world where goten gets his training and learn flight. Or goten goes into the hyperbolic time chamber with gohan and they both skip an age and goten becomes super saiyan and gohan catches up with vegeta in power.

My most controversial take: Make Namek saga after android saga I really hate the idea that the supposed strongest in the universe Frieza, is completely and utterly outdone by… man made machines. Here are some things I’d change about Dragon Ball Z: 1. After the Saiyan Saga, I’d have Vegeta continue to be the main villain focused on, before we get to Frieza. That way Goku and Vegeta would’ve had their rematch a lot sooner, and this time Goku wins. Oh. And have Goku beat Majin Vegeta. 2. I’d add some more moments where it’s just the original 7 Z-Warriors (Goku, Gohan, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, and Piccolo) working together. 3. I'd give Turles more of a backstory, since he didn’t really have one. 4. I’d have Goku learn more about his biological parents, Bardock and Gine. 5. I’d keep Launch around. 6. I’d keep Bruce Faulconer as the musical director along with the American heavy metal rock tunes, for the English dub. 7. Clean up any plot holes. There’s more that I wanna say, but I might save that for my own video.

These weren't good points. Especially the death one. In narrative while the show was running. Death did matter, find out new ways to revive their fallen friends only happened afterwards. You're using the lack of stakes thing in hindsight rather what was currently going on in the narrative. Second Goku's and Pan's relationship was only set up in anime only. Where as the Uub was set up right before Buu passed. "I hope you'll come back some day as a good guy." I don't even want to go on anymore but a lot of your points had so little substantiation to them I can't even call them good points. More like a check the box of "here's what made me feel stinky while watching Dragon Pinky."

What also makes no sense is why the son was the one who killed cell when his story had nothing to do with it if anything, it should’ve been trunks who killed him wrap the story up in a nice bowl

@@hggfhh4449 Gero said that he had all the data he needed so he stopped stalking them before Metal Frieza's arrival, but the Super Computer in the underground lab that was working on Cell got all that data of SS's. That's why Cell said "We could have taken Trunks' cells too, but the computer already had too many Saiyan cells". Gero also had no idea who Trunks was, so by that logic, he probably didnt stalk Goku and the others during their training. But those drones that Piccolo blasted, I dunno if those were Gero's drones or just remaining drones that Cell activated
