@@MeetStephanSpeaks I was just an option after over 14 years. That doesn't sound like much but you have to take into consideration that we each had 3 previous marriages each and lived with one another longer than we ever lived with our spouses with whom we had our children, 9 between us and only 3 we're grown when we got together. My youngest was 3 and he was like his dad because he didn't know his biological dad but he left us in Thanksgiving 2020 behind our back. I say we because it devastated me and hurt my(thought "our") son. I mean he, himself was not raised by his biological dad either. We neither one were living for the Lord when we started living with each other. We made it through him losing our home & everything materialistic in a house fire in 2015 and him having a massive heart attack which required triple bypass open heart surgery only 9 months later in April of 2016. I stayed with him during his entire hospital stay and even lost my job for doing so....... But 4 yrs & 7 months later he left out of the blue when I was going through a very difficult time We did see one another & even went to couples therapy for a while, he paid for my divorce from my estranged husband so we could be married but he just strung me along for over a year after he left I will not lie this has all shattered my world! He went from saying he loved me, wanted to marry me in the eyes of God & saying there was no other woman to telling me to give him 2 more months when I put his feet to the fire and that very night I seen where he was messaging and flirting with and exchanging pictures with a woman who was the 1st girl he ever took out on a date as a teen boy who lived 2 states away I sunk into a terrible depression because we are not even talking to one another now I hold onto the fact that I know I can trust God/Jesus and ultimately want God's will in my life! I could literally write a book but I do still love him and am still hurt badly but I cannot make him want to marry me I just thought we were solid and that we would grow old together!

As men and women are out there dating in hopes of meeting that special someone, we are all options in some regard. What is the most devastating and disappointing aspect of dating today, is the lack of honesty. Speak on why men would rather lie, ghost and make up false excuses than speak the truth. Dating has become a world of constant pain, heartbreak and toxicity. If you're not playing those crazy games then you will surely be hurt. If you're not guarded at all times then you will be hurt. Being single is the only way to avoid any of these traumatic experiences in dating now. I'd rather be alone than subject myself to the constant deceptive behaviors I've encountered.

As a 31 year old mother, I wish I knew these things as a 20 year old inexperienced girl. I blurred the lines between sex, lust and love, and I thought because my now ex was hitting me up, that he was actually interested in me. He was interested in my body and vagina, but not what I had to offer. We had such a toxic, abusive, roller-coaster relationship over 10 years, including bringing a daughter into our mess. All of the signs were there, blaring in my face that he wasn't really interested in me "like that," but I chose to ignore them and was hoping to change him. I was so naive and so desperate for attention, love and affection, and I was not respected, cared for or understood. We are going through a custody battle at the moment. Ladies, please don't ever settle, know your worth, have dignity and follow your intuition if things seem off or inconsistent. If a man really wants YOU and what you have to offer, he will chase you and let it be known that he wants you. A man will never confuse you, play games or only hit you up at nighttime for sex.

Spot on! A man's words and actions must be in alignment. If his words and actions are inconsistent chances are he is not serious about you and he is double-minded. Another thing I always say is a person makes time and space for what is important to them. If a man cannot make time chances are you are not a priority in his life. Sure he may have a busy schedule, but then when will he have the time and why bother going after a woman if you are too busy? Do not pursue if you cannot be consistent. My time is not to be wasted🙏🏼❤️

You're an option because he already has a woman who is NOT optional. You're an option because he thinks he can do better but, wants to keep you as his fall-back in case he can't get the woman (or man, let's be real) he really wants. You're an option because he wants your money and adoration, but that's all. You're an option because he feels entitled to have any woman he can get something from, no matter how much he hurts you. You're an option because it makes him feel powerful to control you with the promise of a relationship he knows you will never have. You're an option because you have mutual friends and he doesn't want to look like an a**h*le for breaking up with you. You're an option because his family already knows and loves you so, now, he's stuck pretending to still be with you. Completely true! And in other cases, they tend to be so focused on looking for who to date that they forget to date themselves. And the reality they mostly failed to learn too early is that, until you are able to date yourself, enjoy your own company, and can tolerate your own demons, you will never, and I repeat, never stand the chance to date someone else properly, love them in the language they understand, tolerate their person, create adjustments for their weaknesses, and learning to accept and adjust to individual differences.

People, we make mistakes, we are human and it's our capacity to thoroughly know our whole self--our weakness, our growth and changes, our partner's--weakness, growth and changes, which will only come as a result of being totally honest with ourselves, first. Vetting yourself requires you to be comfortable with your non-negotiables and to be so consistent in character--spiritual, emotional, social, physical, mental aspects, that to betray yourself, is just not an option, it ain't gon happen! Be honest with yourself, it won't make you weak. if you know you don't want a playboy, talk is cheap, so your actions will demonstrate that you won't entertain one! 💔 everyone to personally know ourselves that when someone breaks our boundary, not just our heart, but a boundary, repeatedly, that this change must now be addressed with a choice. Also, people often loose themselves in a relationship, because they accept someone who's not meant for them. My partner won’t break up with me despite giving him chances to end it and I’ve even broken up with him in which he never even responded to it. I had to do it via text because he was no longer being communicative. He claims “it’s not over” but still will never let me know where I stand with him, and now we don’t even communicate or see each other. I know in my heart of hearts, it’s over and I’m working to move on despite the fact that I’m in love with him, and I’m not even going to contact him anymore. I just want to know why men don’t just end their relationships like men and not be so cowardly about it. My heart is so confused, anxiety ridden and I’m deeply heartbroken. I don’t even care to be in a relationship anymore or get married and have children because it’s exhausting. It’s so unfair how men treat women though I know women can do the same. But I was a good woman to him.

There are certain patterns of toxicity that repeat themselves in relationships if it is allowed. If the woman allows herself to be treated as an option and not a priority that will become the foundation of the relationship. If also she pours everything in his cup and he pours little to nothing in her cup that will create an imbalance of lack in the relationship. Ultimately, the woman must decide that the only option is to leave toxicity and find someone who recognizes the value in her & her love. She must also keep her options open to know that settling for a man who undermines her greatness was never a part of God's divine plan for her life. Great points in your video, blessings & light to you.

Ughh finally the video I was looking for 🙌🏾. I just went through the whole “nice guy that won’t commit” scenario. I left him because something felt amiss (admittedly he had less free time than other men I dated but still, you too busy or too busy for me??) but then I thought of all the little reassurances he would give when I complained or went quiet and doubted if I’d given up on it too soon. Well I doubled back and told him what was bothering me 😅. If it was all a misunderstanding and my failure to communicate my needs before breaking things off let me know and maybe give it another chance, if not, well my intuition was still batting at 1000%. Ultimately, he couldn’t say it with his chest but he wasn’t ready for me to be his sole focus, so I walked away content that I can always trust my gut. Glad this video appeared though, to just give me further confirmation I made the right moves.

Good for you!! You saved yourself from years of misery! This sounds like my situation to a tee and I failed to call it off right from the beginning. I even cried 3 days before the wedding b/c in my spirit I knew marrying him wasn't right and didn't feel right with all of my concerns (lack of maturity, allowing his mother to wear the pants without being able to defend me or set boundaries, no leadership skills, etc). Well, here I am 7 years later and have things changed? Nope! Absolutely miserable since day 1 and I only have delayed dreams/goals (I'm extremely ambitious and he is not), chronic conditions, and other health issues that I've developed from the stress of it all. The ONLY blessings in these hellish years are my 3 beautiful children. I'm reclaiming my worth and purpose, and am bouncing the hell out of this marriage. Gotta be happy, healthy, and whole for my children! You did well.

A guy I once liked told me my legs were too heavy for him. I took these heavy legs else where and he deeply regretted saying it. I appreciate him for the honesty. I’ll never dim my light nor hide the lusciousness of my heavy legs for any man or woman.

😩😩 Omg Stephan I’ve reached out to you a month ago about this EXACT situation I’m currently dealing with and needed advice then BOOM you’ve answered every thought and worry I had about this. My friend is a really nice guy, very consistent with texting everyday but that’s just IT and my spirit been telling me something is off and isn’t right! He did tell me he wasn’t ready right now and needed more time then after that, he became very awkwardly distant. To watch this and listen to you breaks my heart a little 🥺 but it was DEFINITELY needed to hear. This is my confirmation and all I needed. You spoke on this to a TEA! Thank you so much Stephen for your light and truth ❤️

The best advice I ever received is..never marry someone you think you can live with..marry the one you can't live without... unfortunately it was after I divorced a man who told me he didn't know what love was..I should have listened.... He was right..

Stephan I love listening to everything you say because they are so true. You open my eyes to the real way majority of men are. They want their cake & eat it too. Fall in love with a man, they tell you they love you but not showing it. You hit the nail on the head, action speaks louder than words, that is my motto. I've been there before and it hurts especially if you get your heart all tangled up in that man. It's best to be by yourself instead of getting hurt over & over by men or boys. Don't go out there looking for one, pray🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽be patient & wait on "GOD to send you your heart's desire. GOD don't make no mistakes. When he bless you it will be the best.

That's the beauty in dating when your existence is in alignment with your authentication and allowing your needs and desires to align with the purpose of the person that's meant for you. The lines have most definitely been blurred. 💯🙌 The boundaries that society has made "normal" are unhealthy and, if I'm being honest, is the root of so much confusion and hurt in the dating world. I've been on both sides and neither are easy BUT I do my best to lay clear boundaries until I know I'm ready to move to the next level. I've learned lessons the hard way that I trusted the wrong people and got hurt over & over (yes, I made BAD choices in men & yes, it was beacuse I had not healed from my childhood - so many singles today need to heal before dating. They don't realize that their wounds are toxic & contagious. Sad...). It's important to guard our heart, listen to the holy spirit & choose wisely. I enjoy watching your teachings. They are eye opening & I've learned from them. Thank you & God bless🙏🏻☺️🙌

When you spoke on a Man wanting the benefits of a relationship without being in one, I felt that. Recent situationship came to head real quick. He would flip flop saying we're in a committed relationship we just don't live together, then in the same breath say he not my man!! Needless to say in my Remy Ma voice " I had options he made weigh them shits" He found out quick fast. Thanks Stephen 💯
