That cat has feelings and they do remember events. One of my cats whose now passed away, as a kitten she was abused and was scared of men so wouldn't go near my dad. Overtime she learnt he wasn't going to hurt her and it took a bit of time because it happened as a kitten so she learnt to be fearful of men. Animals remember being hurt, and even more so when they fear humans so when they are taken into adoption centres they may not go up to other people because of their past circumstances as they have trust issues. The main thing is that the cat is no longer allowed to be with him. Anyone who abuses animals should be brought to justice, just as much as anyone who hurts another human being.

1) I mean if it was in clear violation of the guidelines then that’s literally the law. If you break it you get fined. Thats not ridiculous, thats to be expected. 1b) this one is actually ridiculous. Now what should have really happened was that he should have arranged with the club before the match to do an official show of solidarity for George Floyd just before the kick off, similar to how players go down on one knee before kick off. Personally, if it was deemed inappropriate or provocative of an argument, a yellow card would have sufficed, the same penalty for taking off a shirt during a goal celebration. 2) if this was explicitly stated in his contract, the fine makes sense, HOWEVER, there should obviously be a back up solution (such as the club will drive out to pick you up) or a clause in the contract which states if your car is damaged in a way which prevents it from being road legal, you may instead use a personal car in case of emergencies, however we will lend you a hire car to drive asap until your company car is fixed. If this rule wasn’t written explicitly into any contract, this is bull. 3) I... I mean it depends if they were breaking traffic or road safety laws? Also I didn’t think someone could fine someone else unless there was clear president to do so. 4) there is clear president for fining someone for using private areas that they are not allowed access to. I obviously can empathise with the players’ situation, and personally I think a ref having a private toilet is a load of bull, but at the end of the day you broke a clear rule that was likely to get you fined. Ironically this is the least ridiculous one yet. 5) I fully expected this to be ridiculous, but apparently the only ridiculous thing about this was the title. This makes perfect sense. That would be like if in the UK there were signs advertising cannabis. Of course you would be fined - your blatantly encouraging and advertising illegal activity. Now that fact that porn is illegal is perhaps a separate ridiculous thing in itself, but the logic behind the fine is sound. 6) break a rule, get fined, what do you expect? 7) again, was this written into their contract? If so, it kinda makes sense, even if it is a ridiculous thing to fine someone over. Also, I am eagerly awaiting “fined for eating meat” as its only a matter of time until a Forest Green player is found to be in violation of their contract which states that they must go vegan for the time that they are at the club

Zouma has obviously been punished enough. It’s funny that players who racially abuse, insult and demean other people are more readily accepted back into society but Zouma is being demonized and has essentially been cancelled for abusing an animal. Is what he did acceptable? Of course not. I love animals and such acts are obviously stupid. But punishments have limits. He has reached his limit for that egregious act. Of course this comment won’t be accepted because cats and dogs mean more to the world than other humans.
