Great tips! I’m high strung and things like notifications distract and cause me stress. I even shut my ringer off to everyone except for a handful of people. I tell myself it’s ok because the phone is for my convenience and not anyone else’s. Self care is important.

Your videos are like therapy for me. Like many many many people out there, I am so caught up by classes, work, social image, especially presenting myself in a way that's polished and attractive and is something the society has driven me to believe in. And here I see a video of a normal girl, living her perfectly minimalist life and enjoying it more than most of us the "caught up in nonsense" individuals do. Love your content. Keep creating.

The thing about deleting pictures and files is that my friends send hundreds of useless things every day and sometimes I'm too lazy to delete 😂 Thanks for the tips, btw!

Try the Doppel App it helps with deleting pictures. Real time and life safer!

Also, Agatha is so cute, it’s amazing how much older she looks in just the short time since u started making your videos! X

I do agree that many times it seems that personal cleaning / organizing around the home is similar to how a person maintains their digital environment. Clean kitchen, clean (computer) desktop. 😉. It's good advice you've given in your post.

This is such a good reminder that our heads hold clutter from our digital sources even if we have decluttered our apartments.

I'm definetely not a minimalist (quite de opposite actually) but you inspired me to declutter my life! I already decluttered my clothes and a lot of make-up and beauty products. Agatha is precious. You are blessed. Clutter is my enemy. I hate it. Everything needs to be in place. I do live a comfortable lifestyle. I am a minimalist but not to the extreme. I know where everything is and I can find things as soon as I need them. Its in my DNA....I cannot stand a lot of mess and clutter. It honestly makes me nervous and crazy. every quarter of the year (every 3 months) i always clear out my photos from my phone, and put them on a hard drive! my email is something that's hard for me to be motivated to do though;;; i always think 'i could be doing something more useful', but now my inbox is mega-cluttered hahaha.

I really love this! I've just finished reading a book called digital minimalism and this was so helpful to see. My favourite way to minimise my scrolling is to pause the apps after checking them in the mornings for ten minutes. Then I check again for ten minutes in the evenings. I haven't missed anything important and I feel like I've freed up hours in my day x

Great video and you are so right about emails, almost all of them are from someone trying yo sell me something. Friends send texts not emails anymore.

Set filters to unwanted emails. Its efficient than deleting in regular intervals.

Ironically, I just accidentally destroyed my phone a couple hours ago...but I didn't have to worry because just last night I had again made sure everything was backed up as it was supposed to be! :) It's definitely worth the effort and if you keep check it/back it up every so often, it's not overwhelming. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I've had my phone go from seemingly fine to shutting off as I was typing something and be completely dead. I also didn't lose anything because I had back up options turned on.

I really need to organise my cloud accounts! One thing I find useful is to always give photo and movie files meaningful names rather than just leaving them with the default file names. It makes it easier if I need to search for a particular photo out of thousands.

Great video once again, Vika. I used to play ice hockey. I live in the U.S. Please do a video on your impressions of the Soviet hockey program from 1972-1987. My favorite player was Valery Kharlamov. He was so great, but tragically was killed in a car accident during the early 1980s. I know you are so young and it was all before your time, but please take a brief interest in the great Soviet tradition of hockey. And also talk about Chernobyl. I have a great interest in that as well. Thank you.

I would like to know what to do with screenshots and notes on my phone. I'm trying to delete the ones that I don't need but it seems impossible since there are so many. 😑 And I don't want to delete all of them at once because some of them are important.

I only keep apps which I actually use. I delete a lot of junk photos as well, only keep the ones which are important to me and have memories attached. My sister on the other hand hoards photos she now doesn't have space to install any new app on her phone 😂

Some time I just ignore it and some time I spent an hour or more to delete it
