    You’re one of the only channels I’ve seen making online security videos with advice practical to most people. Most other channels on online security I’ve found are way too far into online privacy, anonymity, and security that it’s way too much management and hassle for me. I’ve applied many of the things in your videos so thank you for the content 🙏🏻

    Excellent video! Solid advice for the average computer user, I especially liked the tip about passwords. I think of a password like a gate or door on a house, yes I can make it incredibly heavy/strong, but if that's all I do, the intruder will break a window instead. (Window being a metaphor for the keylogging you mentioned or other hacking approaches.)

    I must confess, I was getting ready to leave a snarky comment but I kicked my inner-narcissist and remembered you're making content for a wide spectrum of viewers, not people with my exact amount of computer experience.

    When you set up TOTP 2FA, they give you 5-10 lockout codes, which means the time-based passwords are just a distraction because all the while you have 5-10 static passwords. How can it be any better than just a long password?

    Are there good security practices people can use with their phones? I feel like a phone is probably the go-to source when browsing the internet and using various apps for convenience. Also, regarding using pseudonyms, how do you know when it's appropriate to use one? Does my streaming service need my actual name or Amazon?

    Unless it’s a government agency, they likely don’t need your real name, real phone number and (often) real home address.

    What would you recommend for small businesses? One email account, multiple aliases, or 2 to 3 accounts with a couple of aliases each? Would you use aliases for bank accounts? Are they both equally secured or/and it only depends on preference?

    I don't quite understand what is the advantage of using yubikey at 2fa it over a normal app. If I lose the phone, they have access to my normal application, but if I lose the yubikey they also have access to my codes. Could you tell me? Thank you

  • @PapaBerto

    @PapaBerto

    It's simple. If you lose the phone, you can sign in to your accounts and remove it as a trusted device. If you lose the key, you should have either backup codes or even a second usb key stored away in the unlikely event that happens.

    to ACTUALLY TEST*********** 1. torrent something like movie RINGO or "the loan ranger" when they first came out[they have the people to come after you and they will] 2.internet stays on 2a. when you call your ISP they haven't got anything "on file". "did you download "big buttz 67" on 2/23/2022 at 10:30 pm" 3. you're vpn says nothing and doesn't give u crap. i don't want to hear the words dmca or lawyer come from their mouths. they should have the "even if i knew i wouldn't tell you and you aren't going to force me to do ****: now pi&&-off!" attitude.

So, how do we know “you’re” not lying to us-?! And, “half-lies” are basically where you cannot believe ‘εithεr’, because you don’t know ‘ωhich is ωhat’-?! In my philosophy courses, I taught a “Chinese Finger-Trap” method of getting out of jury-duty: after the brief introductory class, you’re sworn in to ‘’tell the Truth.’’ At that point, you state out loud, “I always lie,” and if the judge or bailiff had ever taken my course, s/he would tell you, you could go home right then. Why-?, …think about it. {;~)
