Went through my stock and several set of cheapo mirrors before pulling the trigger on Doubletake... then broke a Doubletake into three pieces after (while?) looping my bike on a hill climb! Difference between the cheapo mirrors and the Doubletake is that Doubletake stands by their product! Sent them a photo of the broken mirror and a new one was in my mailbox (in Nova Scotia, Canada) within a week.

Equally in love with the Pro Grip 714! Slightly fatter than most grips, and much much easier on the hands for typical dual sport riding. Good video!

Oh man, that rock was not moving for the beloved KLR! Dang nature, you savage! You're the one who introduced me to the Green Chile system back in the day Tyler. And after all these years, I still think it's a slick do-everything system. Also, I think Tusk has been killing it with their products. I've found myself impressed by their offerings. Much luv, buddy.

I have a set of Tusk DS on my KLR and they really hook up on dirt, but on pavement they were sketchy for the first couple hundred miles. Watch out for road seams, i got sent into full tank slapper at 70mph before they broke in. If you put em on the chicken strip knobs on pavement or concrete they drift reasonably well with only a bit of chatter. My rear is almost dead now, i got em in July so that's about 6 months of hard daily on them, it's my grocery getter. My daily ride is a few miles of steep twisty dirt down to the pass, a couple more miles of twisty paved canyons and a couple miles of town roads. I send it hard on the dirt and on the upper canyon when i'm not loaded down, they break out, slide, and recover predictably and i'll probably order another rear in the next few weeks.

Hey Everide! I just bought a 2017 KLR 650, switched from a Honda Shadow 600. I do have a KTM 250 EXC-F that I ride about once a month, usually longer due to work. I love taking my KLR on dirt roads but I'm not completely comfortable with how heavy and wide it is compared to my KTM. I assume given enough time on the dirt I'll learn the KLR's limitations but I would like to know any tidbits of information for riding an adventure bike on single track/double track areas. Thank you and have a good day!

Double take mirrors are the best I have found, pricey but they last. I like the Shinko 216 MX 80/90 DOT front tire and the Fatty 216 90/100 Cheater, perform well off road and are OK on pavement. How do you like the performance of the GPR steering stabilizer? I've always ran the Scott but see a few different brands out there now and was just curious.

I put a Tusk D Sport on the rear of my KTM 450 EXC-F Six days. I'm not terribly impressed with it after 400 miles. It's a very soft compound compared to the tried-and-true D606 I've been running on my DRZ since 2007. It's got cracks at the base of some of the knobs and chunks torn off the corners of multiple knobs. I will be surprise if the tires make it to 1500 miles based on what I see so far.

@@kyjelly5524 I haven't tried these tires yet but I have a set in my rmatv cart. When I was still in California doing longer dual sport rides on my old drz400 or xr600 I'd run my d606s at 20 psi for mostly road/fire road stuff...but I'd air down to as low as 12 or so psi in sand and rocks. Even lower if it got muddy. Here on maui I sort of got used to riding a dualsport around at 10psi. Can get scary hahaha.

If you think I was running too low of pressure that's all good too. Cruising around the island nowadays at 10psi us a little silly but hey I rarely get over 40 cruising around. If I know I'm jumping on a little highway action I'll pump em up to 15 haha. I never raced in the desert though.

I'm definitely going to buy the mirrors and eventually almost everything you talked about haha! Since I'm not caught up in all your videos I don't know how many cc's the KTM is It sounds like the Yamaha and KTM are two strokes? Maybe when you're talking in the video you can refer to the model making year of the bike the first time you talk about it, sorry I don't mean to tell you how to record videos, but I found myself wondering the entire video what the other two bikes were besides the DR-Z which everyone knows is Suzuki's masterpiece 400!
