There are other obvious possibilities, such as natural processes, which are not random but structured, yet the structure emerges from ordinary thermodynamic principles rather than in fulfilment of some evident design. Secondly, "believing in chance" is not to be conflated from withholding belief. If we don't know exactly how some physical process works, that doesn't mean we are committed to thinking that it must happen by chance. It means that we have no warrant for belief until we know more.

I’ve seen God. I’m not a schizophrenic I’m not an epileptic. 😂I’ve been possessed by demons lifted off the ground in front of my family members and thrown around my garage. I’m not a liar I didn’t believe in this kind of stuff until it happened to me at least not to this extent. I use to make the mistake of wishing there god didn’t exist so I could justify my sins. But there is a God! I know that without a doubt now. So don’t believe me it’s your loss. I don’t know you but I’d like to believe that you’re a good person. Suffering is a part of this world, friend. Religion is not a predator, by all means, the devil is. The void that you say can only be filled with God's love. I, myself, have gone through that same thing. There must be no God if He does not answer me and console me in times of my sufferings just like He promised, right? the answer is no. God does exist not because "religion" says it exists but it is inherent in us to know that God exists. Some people have been eaten up by logic and reason so much as to say that God is not true. You all make these claims but have you ever tried SEEKING GOD? or are you just here on the internet doing nothing and making such claims? Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. I'm always praying for you, brothers and sisters. @Ddot Norreh , Which "belief" is more rational and logical??? Two people (one Christian the other Atheist) are randomly walking through an apple orchard coming upon 377 fallen apples "perfectly" in a row and "evenly" spaced apart on the ground. The atheist, given their "accidents" belief, concludes "nice accident" and continues walking. Obviously, not thinking any more about it - as that is how he/she is indoctrinated by their secular public education to believe. On the other hand, the Christian sees the exact same 377 fallen apples "perfectly" in a row and "evenly" spaced apart, and concludes "WHO IN THE WORLD DID THAT?". Which had the more rational and logical conclusion??? Basic logic dictates behind "order" there has to be an "orderer". Behind every "building" you see is a "builder" you cannot see. Behind something that is "moving" there is a "mover" - that "caused it" to move. Behind an observed "intelligent design" is a "intelligent designer". Now, let’s raise the spontaneous "accident" odds to absolute absurdity. For me to write this post I have 3 Billion DNA "perfectly" in a row and "evenly" spaced apart, and for you to read this post with understanding you have 3 Billion DNA "perfectly" in a row and "evenly" spaced apart, so over 6 Billion DNA "ordered" and working effectively !!! Now, is that just some random chance and spontaneous "accident" to have 6 Billion DNA in a "row" to carry on this conversation??? www.genome.gov/25520880/deoxyribonucleic-acid-dna-fact-sheet/ evolutionnews.org/2018/04/yes-intelligent-design-is-detectable-by-science/ Even famous atheist Richard Dawkins has admitted DNA can "prove" intelligent design: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oqZ6vLaGea61mZc.html www.allaboutscience.org/intelligent-design.htm Sorry, Evolution is a lie. The falsely spread theory should be extinct by "real" scientists: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zqt32s17ntCZn9o.html Evolution is spread from a Masonic inspired lie: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aGqXkpWIZKS2epc.html What are the mathematical "odds" of even one protein forming "accidentally"??? kzread.info/dash/bejne/iWWTraePkabfkaQ.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/q3Z52cmdc6u7h9I.html www.everystudent.com/features/isthere.html www.magiscenter.com Now is illogically concluded athiestic evolution or spontaneous "accidents" really a true logical and rational conclusion??? Please get to KNOW the supreme "orderer" and "intelligent designer" of this universe. Come to know what GOD expects out of your life to find "TRUE LIFE" itself. What decided to create existence: the proton, the nucleus, the electron, the ribosome, the chromosomes, the proteins, the amino acids, the neurotransmitters, or the amoeba? What was the goal?

Materialism, imperialism created the idea that humanity is an entity that can be controlled by material power, whereas human beings exist with spiritual emotions, belief in God, family ties, cooperation, love, patience, gratitude, etc., with emotions, they are exalted, atheism, denial of God, fashion, etc. It was supported by movies and books, but there is a God, most people believe in the existence of God. we believe, we pray, we prostrate, we worship and we find peace. It is not easy to earn eternal life. Heaven is the place where people who believe will receive endless blessings. The last religion is Islam. People are turning to Islam.❤❤

It may be a point of pride for them that they do this, but it is also, quite literally, an exercise in make-believe. Most atheists whom I've heard seem to go about things very differently. They don't begin by choosing what to believe but instead follow the data to see where it might lead. And they are often skeptical of claims presented without compelling evidence. They would rather withhold belief than assign belief when it's not clearly warranted. So I don't get the impression that atheists have much choice about belief. Either the data warrants belief or it doesn't. To the atheists I've known, it would be bizarre to choose a belief like choosing a pair of socks, just because of a subjective preference. Beliefs are to be tied to objective facts. It's only personal opinions which may indulge preference.

My position is that *_I have no good reason to acknowledge the existence of gods._* And here is the evidence which supports my position. 1. I personally have not observed a god. 2. I have have never heard a first person account in which that person has observed a god. 3. I have found no accounts of persons that have observed a god that can be verified for authenticity, accuracy, or validity. 4. I have have never been presented a valid logical argument which employed rationally sound premises that lead to a conclusion that gods exist. 5. All of the 46 logical arguments I have encountered all have been demonstrated to have multiple fallacious or unsubstantiated premises. 6. I have never observed a phenomenon in which the exist of gods was an neccesary antecedent for the known or probable explanation of the causation of that phenomenon. 7. There have been thousands of proposed and generally accepted explanations for observable phenomena that were based on the agency of a god(s), that were later and subsequently explained by more rational and substantiated evidence that excluded the agency of a god(s). 8. I have never experienced the presence of gods through intercession of angels, answer to a petition, any truth by revelation, fulfillment of prophecy, the miraculous act of divinity, or an observation of any supernatural event. 9. Every phenomena that I have ever observed has emerged from neccesary and sufficient antecedents over time without exception. In other words, I have never seen any phenomenon (entity, process, object, event, process, substance or being) that was created instantly by the solitary volition of a single deity. ALL of these facts lead me to the only rational conclusion that concurs with the realities I have been presented - and that is the fact that there is no good reason for me to acknowledge the existence of gods.

I really like that last clip from Dawkins. It's a great summary. Although, to be honest, I much prefer to listen to him discuss biology, especially evolutionary biology. Although, any time he is in an interview, it always goes directly to "The World's Greatest Atheist", or other such nonsense. In other words, I prefer listening to professor Dawkins, rather than atheist Dawkins, having to constantly answer the same, mundane questions, over and over and over again. I kind of feel bad for the guy, as it must be tedious as hell. He must have infinite patience. Myself, if I was in his position, I would have snapped on somebody, a long time ago.

They all eventually get exausted cause they realise repeating it does nothing. Some bravely takes the task, but I for example, avoid it. I study fictional narratives, but at home with my religious family constantly has conversion attempts and provocations about atheism. It is very exaustive.

@@taynahibanez9952 It often takes a lot of time. However with time and patience, my family has gone from being twice a week Catholics, to cultural Catholics. It took about 60 years, but it eventually happened. My grandfather started it at a time (We are talking the 1950's here), when being an atheist was equivalent to being a baby eating, Satan worshipper. However, he was a 6'4 260 pound, Military Police captain, so nobody really gave him much flak. I'm sure the younger generation in my family will be quite appreciative, once they get older, and are able to understand these things. It's been a long time coming, but there's still rocky roads ahead. The religious are becoming fewer and fewer in number, whilst the ones that are left, are the fundamentalists and fanatics. It seems like it's going to be a war of attrition (sigh).

@juniorsir9521 Evolution is true. How about you learn from the *actual* experts instead of creationists and pseudo-scientists? Start with BioLogos referenced below. It's a Christian organisation. --------------------------------------------------------- Francisco Ayala, a renowned evolutionary biologist and recipient of the National Medal of Science and the 2010 Templeton Prize *(and a former Dominican priest),* recently stated the consensus of the field in these terms [Ayala2010, pg. 49-50]: *The overwhelming majority of biologists accept evolution. Those who know professionally the evidence for evolution* ***cannot deny it.*** *Scientists agree that the evolutionary origin of animals and plants is a scientific conclusion* ***beyond reasonable doubt.*** *The evidence is compelling and all-encompassing because it comes from all biological disciplines including those that did not exist in Darwin's time.* In the second half of the nineteenth century, Darwin and other biologists obtained convincing evidence from a variety of disciplines, which had reached early maturity during the nineteenth century: *anatomy, embryology, biogeography, geology, and paleontology. Since Darwin's time, the evidence for evolution* ***has become much stronger and more comprehensive,*** coming not only from traditional sources but also from recent disciplines such as *genetics, biochemistry, ecology, ethology, neurobiology, and molecular biology.* ... ***Because the evidence is so overwhelming,*** ... evidence for evolution no longer engages the interest of biologists except when explaining evolution to the public or arguing with those who refuse to accept evolution. Although not sought and ***no longer needed,*** the evidence for the fact of evolution continues to accumulate. *"How many scientists question evolution? - sciencemeetsreligion.org"* "As someone who's had the privilege of leading the human genome project, I've had the opportunity to study our own DNA instruction book at a level of detail that was never really possible before. It's also now been possible to compare our DNA with that of many other species. ***The evidence supporting the idea that all living things are descended from a common ancestor is truly overwhelming.*** *I would not necessarily wish that to be so, as a Bible-believing Christian. But it is so. It does not serve faith well to try to deny that."* ***"Yes, evolution by descent from a common ancestor is clearly true.*** If there was any lingering doubt about the evidence from the fossil record, the study of DNA provides the strongest possible proof of our relatedness to all other living things." - Dr Francis Collins. Former head of the Human Genome Project and a Christian. ------------------------------------------------------------------ In addition, look up the below articles: *"What is the evidence for evolution? - Common-questions - BioLogos"* (A Christian organisation) Watch *"DNA Evidence that Humans and Chimpanzees Share a Common Ancestor : Endogenous Retroviruses - Stated Clearly"* (Look for Dr Francis Collins at the end of the video, who was the former head of The Human Genome Project and is a Christian) *"Evolution: Library: Human Chromosome 2"* Watch *"Ken Miller on Human Evolution" - Kurpalac* (Kenneth Miller is a theist) *"Why scientists dismiss 'intelligent design' - Science"* *"15 Answers to Creationist Nonsense - Scientific American"* *"Evolution: 24 myths and misconceptions | New Scientist"* *"What the Scientific Community Says about Evolution and Intelligent Design | American Civil Liberties Union"* *"The intellectual vacuity of mathematical arguments against evolution - Why Evolution Is True"* *"Once again: misguided calls for a thorough revamping of evolutionary biology - Why Evolution Is True"* *"Confessions of a former creationist - Trees In Space"*

At the beginning people told each other that extraterrestrials used a simple, invisible technical device, called Generator Of Dimensions (GOD) to create our universe! They knew well that nothing from this earth could have created this earth and nothing from this universe could have created this universe. But then, over time, this device mistakenly became a god in a prozess what is known as Model Autophagy Disorder (MAD). Now all people believe that this device, used by the aliens to create universes, is a god and worship this device. This can definitely be described as crazy. 🤪

@Carte Prostale *_"Atheism is a religion."_* You must be new to conversations like this to say that. Such an old, thoroughly refuted argument. First of all if it were true then yes, it would seriously undermine atheism because religions have no foundation in evidence. So you've really shot yourself in the foot. But Atheism ISN'T a belief system, it's a _rejection_ of religious claims. As someone said years ago *_"Atheism is a religion like NOT collecting stamps is a hobby"_* or *_"... like abstinence is a sexual position"_* If that's not clear enough then tell me this: Do you believe Zeus is a real god? An ex-drug dealer from a bike gang lives here and is now a door knocking Jehovah Witness. Unfortunately there's no credible evidence for the Christian narrative and plenty of science that refutes it so I'm (as always) going with the science. Reasons why there is no god: 1) Life does not need to have a meaning 2) All religions are shaped by the geographical culture of the area: this means that god is just in your brain. 3) You just follow your family's religion as you were indoctrinated from the very beginning of your life. So this much depends on the area where you were born. Basically what you know does not exist: it has just been told you to believe in it since when you were young and not able to do a critic about life. 3) If religion books were cancelled, they would have re-written differently. If scientific researches were cancelled they would have re-written in the same way cause they are based on objective evidence. 4) 4,200 religions in the world: how do you prove yours is the true one? 5) The most popular religions just coincide with the most rich/colonialist countries as they were spread by force 6) When people could not cure themselves they relied on witchcraft. Once science found the cure, witchcraft got extinguished. By analogy, religion is just an irrational method of compensation for material life problems. 7) If you say "who created the universe?", then I say, "who created god" ? 8) It has already been demonstrated by science that organic matter can be generated by inorganic matter (Miller-Urey experiment) 9) Big bang: explosion which determined life and continuous spreading of energy nowadays. Human production/reproduction is just an expression of that energy keeps spreading.

society’s exaggerated respect for religion, over and above ordinary human respect. The case flared up in February 2006-a ludicrous episode, which veered wildly between the extremes of comedy and tragedy. The previous September, the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten published twelve cartoons depicting the prophet Muhammad. Over the next three months, indignation was carefully and systematically nurtured throughout the Islamic world by a small group of Muslims living in Denmark, led by two imams who had been granted sanctuary there.12 In late 2005 these malevolent exiles travelled from Denmark to Egypt bearing a dossier, which was copied and circulated from there to the whole Islamic world, including, importantly, Indonesia. The dossier contained falsehoods about alleged maltreatment of Muslims in Denmark, and the tendentious lie that Jyllands-Posten was a government-run newspaper. It also contained the twelve cartoons which, crucially, the imams had supplemented with three additional images whose origin was mysterious but which certainly had no connection with Denmark. Unlike the original twelve, these three add-ons were genuinely offensive-or would have been if they had, as the zealous propagandists alleged, depicted Muhammad. A particularly damaging one of these three was not a cartoon at all but a faxed photograph of a bearded man wearing a fake pig’s snout held on with elastic. It has subsequently turned out that this was an Associated Press photograph of a Frenchman entered for a pig-squealing contest at a country fair in France.13 The photograph had no connection whatsoever with the prophet Muhammad, no connection with Islam, and no connection with Denmark. But the Muslim activists, on their mischief-stirring hike to Cairo, implied all three connections . . . with predictable results. The carefully cultivated ‘hurt’ and ‘offence’ was brought to an explosive head five months after the twelve cartoons were originally published. Demonstrators in Pakistan and Indonesia burned Danish flags (where did they get them from?) and hysterical demands were made for the Danish government to apologize. (Apologize for what? They didn’t draw the cartoons, or publish them. Danes just live in a country with a free press, something that people in many Islamic countries might have a hard time understanding.) Newspapers in Norway, Germany, France and even the United States (but, conspicuously, not Britain) reprinted the cartoons in gestures of solidarity with Jyllands-Posten, which added fuel to the flames. Embassies and consulates were trashed, Danish goods were boycotted, Danish citizens and, indeed, Westerners generally, were physically threatened; Christian churches in Pakistan, with no Danish or European connections at all, were burned. Nine people were killed when Libyan rioters attacked and burned the Italian consulate in Benghazi. As Germaine Greer wrote, what these people really love and do best is pandemonium.14 A bounty of $1 million was placed on the head of ‘the Danish cartoonist’ by a Pakistani imam-who was apparently unaware that there were twelve different Danish cartoonists, and almost certainly unaware that the three most offensive pictures had never appeared in Denmark at all (and, by the way, where was that million going to come from?). In Nigeria, Muslim protesters against the Danish cartoons burned down several Christian churches, and used machetes to attack and kill (black Nigerian) Christians in the streets. One Christian was put inside a rubber tyre, doused with petrol and set alight. Demonstrators were photographed in Britain bearing banners saying ‘Slay those who insult Islam’, ‘Butcher those who mock Islam’, ‘Europe you will pay: Demolition is on its way’ and ‘Behead those who insult Islam’. Fortunately, our political leaders were on hand to remind us that Islam is a religion of peace and mercy.

The reason no one is allowed to depict Mohammed is because people overtime distort his look, or didn’t live to see him. You would be worshipping a random person instead. Jesus is depicted due to people distorting and twisting the religion to their own political agendas, he was depicted as a blue eyed blonde, which is probably very inaccurate and these twists in religion are one of the reasons atheism exists.

Hi. Interesting, but when I was 14, I came to a completely different conclusion. I reasoned that pain is a message. It tells us when something is wrong. I instructs us to get our hand off of a flame. Global pain means something is wrong with the entire planet (any arguments on that one?). Yet, somehow I knew, that when I found the source of pain, I would find the solution. Jesus Christ endured the pain on the cross so that you might be saved from pain. The fact is that you and me, everyone, has done wicked things. Yet, God, Who is so good!, took the penalty for your wrong-doing upon Himself. Now, you can be free from guilt and have new life in Christ! It's all in the Bible! You have opinions about the afterlife. However, I have a friendship with Jesus Christ that will last into eternity. Judge for yourself which is the better way to go! I hope you will have a good talk with Christ. Get to know your Maker. Then, you will have peace in your life - that will last forever!

No, he doesn't. You might argue that you don't need to see him to believe in him but really? Has he ever shown his face his body HIS EXISTENCE PHYSICALLY? Nope. Religion (god included) exists because people want to believe something when they did when in fact nothing happens you just die and rot in a coffin. People **want** to believe in something so they created this illusion of god so they can have something to believe in. Back then alot of shit happened and so they felt alone and scared along with being poor so they create this "god" to 1 not be scared 2 earn their keep and 3 to have something to believe in and have something happen in the afterlife. However over time people used that bible to their advantage and use it to harm people and justify their bullshit and say "it's the word of god" when he doesn't exist and they just want to pin their bullshit to someone else whodoesn't exist. If things like demons and angels and god existed then shouldn't there be proof? Nope. Bullshit and even if he did exist why should 2 people be the cause of everything bad? Why should we be punished for shit we didn't do from 2 people? Welp that's it. If you want to respond go ahead I'm up for it. I raised my hands forward and I saw the Lord descend the last couple of feet to the earth. He was a white silhouette. I could see the outline of His robe. He took my hands and all over, I felt heaven and that my heart was made of gold. I walked away thinking, "That was heaven, but I am on earth. What is heaven doing on earth?" Well, Jesus Christ and I have been best friends ever since. He is as real to me as my wonderful wife and kids. Now, I do not expect that you will take my word for it, as I have been wrong about many things on a daily basis. Yet, I know God is bearing witness as to what I am saying. You have the witness of the Holy Spirit! You can deny it, but you know. This really happened to me. I hope you will get to know Jesus Christ.

Most atheists do indeed perform rituals by reading atheist propaganda, watching atheist speakers, and trying to argue or convince others that their viewpoint is correct, they do this whether subconsciously or consciously to strengthen their faith in their "RELIGION". I study world religions and I know very much about what a religion really is. Most atheists technically fit the definition of being in a religion absolutely! This may be off topic..but can I ask you something? Can a people become a nation again after having been dispersed in different parts of the world for more than two thousand years? And in the countries where they were exiled, they were the minority and were heavily persecuted. They were not allowed to secure jobs and were often expelled from their lands.. And throughout the ages, kings, queens, political and religious leaders tried to annihilate them...do you think they could survive as a people? Could they become a nation again and become a powerful force in the region shortly after they reestablish themselves in the land of their forefathers? And as they tried to rebuild their tiny country, they have to survive the attacks of the neighboring nations that are more well-established and have their respective armies? Considering they are a small country, with no army at that time, as small as New Jersey with the land mostly dessert, surrounded by enemies who attack them from all sides--- And with hardly any natural resources that even Mark Twain in his diary said that even a cactus was having a hard time to grow in this arid, bone dry and dessicated land ? Will theu survive? What do you think?

All very well argued, but my personal favourite is to show how absurd the idea of an eternally existing mind is by asking theists this question: "Does God experience the passage of time?" If they answer "yes", you respond with "so God waited an infinite amount of time before he created the universe?" If they answer "no", you respond with "so God is just frozen in position for all eternity? How is he able to do anything?" and "doesn't that rather contradict [name of holy book], where God is clearly seen to do stuff?" If they try to fudge their way out with "God's works in mysterious ways" or "God's character is unknowable", you respond with "well that's just a cop-out, isn't it?" Works for me...

He doesn't need us. We need him. When we reject his existence... We have wronged ourselves not him. Understand the concept my friend. And if you dont believe in a Just creator, are you telling me that vicious tryants like Hitler, Stalin, Saddam Hussain, Osama bin Laden, Abubakr Baghdadi, Genghis Khan etc would never be avenged for what they did? Are you telling me that all the evil that people got away with in this world would not get avenged with? Even if Hitler was to be tortured for his entire life, that would never equate (justly) with the six million human beings that he killed and tortured... The justice of this world is never perfect and it will never be perfect. This is why, for 40,000 years +, the idea of the day of judgement has never been erased from humanity no matter how much the Athiest try to It is in ourselves, it is in our natural disposition. We all want once, to see the vicious human beings to be avenged for what they did. But if you reject the day of judgement and you reject God, then you would spread corruption on earth expecting no punishment in the hereafter (just like Stalin and Pharaoh (remesis 2) who did what they did because they thought they wouldn't be avenged by an entity outside of this present realm) Or you if you reject such a just God, then surely you would believe in a dark, horrific, unjust and severely unsatisfying ending, with no perfectly justified punishment for the ones that killed, raped and spread evil on earth. There is a deeper reason on why rejecting God would cause you to a punishment in the hereafter. It's not just a matter of 'being arrogant' to the one that created you. When you reject God, you have reject the Ultimate Justice, so would do whatever evil you want in this world and not expect a punishment in the hereafter.
