I agree. I love the Lady Dior but the price is so high I don’t think I can justify it. I think I would also be too worried to used it and damage it, given the cost.

I have my eye on a navy capucin with a magenta ostrich flap…deciding between that and an mm Go15 in cognac

Mine is Chanel classic flaps. I have 2 but would have liked a couple more colors. Now even resell prices are crazy.

I had a similar experience with Givenchy that you did with YSL. So frustrating and disrespectful. I bought a Jimmy Choo bag instead after I returned it and in hindsight it was the best thing bc the quality is amazing and I love it so much.

I am really happy that I got my Chanel flaps before these crazy price increases. The only luxury bag I’m looking at right now is maybe a Peekaboo..and some H bags. Thankful I bought most of my bags earlier.

I was so lucky I didn’t purchased 2 lady dior mini and 1 mini saddle this year in Jan. I can’t imagine the price now it’s crazy !! But I do regret not buying lady dior in Small size ABC which I won’t be purchasing in the future coz the price is crazy but wud buy 2nd hand.

I’m going to Europe in November and was holding off on getting the Lady Dior in Paris. But now with the price increase, I just don’t know. And like you said, I’d rather get a Chanel bag.

I live in the US but I was in Rome last week. I wanted to purchase at least 2 bags from my wishlist. I had no idea how expensive the bags are now. The sales person at LV kept insisting I buy the Capucine. I thought it was cute but not what I was looking for and when she told me the price I could not believe it! It was over 6 thousand Euros! Of course I said no since it’s too small for my liking anyways. I ended up buying a Prada which was almost 4 thousand. Crazy I know but it was exactly what I wanted. I also bought a Givenchy Antigona.

If your going to get the YSL Cassandra handbag To get size mini The size medium is big The bag get heavy when you start put stuff inside the bag . To be careful if you have acrylic nails. The calfskin leather scratch easy You have to baby that bag I sold my bag because of that. I only used that bag for 12 / 15 times . I had bag for 8 months. I sold the bag made my money back.

I actually don't regret buying before a price increase. I regret not purchasing a seasonal bag from Louis Vuitton. Quite specifically, the cognac Speedy B 25! The Speedy B 25 is one of my favorite bags, and that color was to die for. Now the only one I can find pre-loved is well over the price of what they sold for. I am kicking myself!

I know I was pretty frustrated and didn't know what to do. It's the coating on the leather that starts to peel on some of the points of the diamond motif leather. Not sure if they've fixed the issue now or not, but I decided for these prices I don't need to be buying a problem I may have to then keep taking back to Dior.

I bought a 22 mini and love it. Beautiful leather and perfect cross body

Wish I got the Chanel 19 in so black when I saw it. Now can’t find one at a reasonable price. On another note those, I do find it a bit tedious how you focus so much on whether bags hold their value or not. I always buy a bag because I love it and I don’t worry about the fact it might not hold it’s value. Truth is.. if I buy some a bag that over time goes up with price increases and you look after it, you prob end up at the point that the resale market will catch up to what you paid for it. Other than that.. love your content ❤

I bought a Dior bag in Paris last year. The buckle was broken drop when I used .After I took it to Melbourne for repair, I found that the magnetic buckle was severely scratched. Wait 5 Months later When I went to get the bag back, I found that the leather on the edge of the bag was wrinkled. How can a bag of such quality be called a famous brand product? Finally, the saleswoman replaced it with a new one. Bad experience to buy,but still like design style.

The prices are so high now, i bought 6 Dior bags but kept only 3 of them, and it was only one year ago, now they are so expensive , better i kept all of them, i'm a huge fan of Dior.

Wish I’d have jumped on the Chanel Business affinity when your first shared them on your channel. Now I can’t find one in the boutique 😩

Ah yes, honestly keep holding out for that one they're one of the best Chanel bags (in my opinion) I woudl still buy one at RRP (assuming they're closer to 4,000£ now) as I love mine both so much.

Hi Steph. Interesting video as always. Shocking to see that you were sent a faulty/ex display bag by Saint Laurent. I had a similar experience with DeMellier and 24s (APC Grace bag). I know they aren’t as expensive but regardless they should be checked prior to sending out. I have reordered the APC bag but haven’t bothered with DeMellier yet. A question for you - any thoughts on the Gucci Petit GG mini bag?

I bought the small Dior Lady Matte black summer of 2019 at Harrods when I was in London for the Dior show at V&A. I almost bought the Book Tote in the Union Jack. Glad I got the Lady over the Book. Prior to my trip I had been talking to a friend and she had been told that the matte was only going to be available for a very short time. However not the cause. Still so happy I got it then because the price I paid with conversion rate, I paid half of the current price. So I’m happy about that as well. I also got a Goyard tote that trip again over the book tote and I think I will still choose Goyard totes over the book. Edit: wish my mother was more into handbags and she had been buying Hermes bags in the 80’s and 90’s. She loves scarves and has been buying those for ages. Wish she had as many bags as she did scarves.

@@lolipena8051 it’s been fine and I use it quite a lot with the strap. I do with there was a specific place for the strap then on the handle hardware because I’ve been worried about that too. But so far so good.

Thank you! It's a dress from H&M but from a few years ago part of the Ulla Johnson collaboration. Yes the Capucines is a gorgeous bag, try preloved for this one some nice savings to be had on bigger models but if you find a dream combination I would snap one up ASAP. I don't think the big increase are going to stop anytime soon.

I prefer the look of the mini but for the BB is a far more useful size. I use the mini as an evening bag and the BB I can use in the day time. Hope that helps

The Chanel 22 is clearly not made with full grain leather- it’s made with that leather mush formed into sheets. Super luxurious… esp when the finish peels off bc it rubs against the chain constantly. Don’t do it.

Beautiful bags; these mini bags are cute but useless. Dior is not Chanel why are their prices going crazy.? Louis Vuitton is still my favorite.
