Ahhhh, #10!!! I ❤the Fendi baguette. I currently have 2 Fendi’s in my collection, one of which I’m currently selling on Mercari, so that I can save up and buy a baguette. Obsessed would be the right description 😂😂

I love my chanel caviar medium classic flaps in black and beige clair - especially since I bought them 8 years ago when were $4800! I live in the midwest US - we have a high end mall with a Chanel boutique close to where I live - but I really do not see a classic flap being carried too often here.

I also got beige Clair for one year now and haven’t seen anyone wearing this exact bag. Black - yes, here and there. But not beige. I live in london.

I always find your videos so helpful, so thanks for providing the content! If you could suggest a luxury leather tote bag that is edgy while still being timeless what would you suggest? I was considering the Burberry buckle tote or the Mulberry one. I was kind of on the fence about the Saint Laurent tote but heard a lot of mixed reviews.

Those Fendi sandals are on my wishlist! 🤩 The Chanel classic flap is not. 👎🏼 I've no time or patience for faffy access! 🤣

Thanks for the reviews you're the best! I love Chanel Classic flaps. But I can't get into Fendi they just aren't for me. Could you please send a link to the crystal/glitter Demellier Tokyo bag. Here in the US it's not showing on the US site. Maybe it's not available here.

I love my Oran’s and have 5 colours, I do wear my Chypre more though. I have the same fendi sandals as you & they are super comfy, I also love my Chanel dad sandals 😂 I won’t be buying any classic flaps or fendi baguettes anytime soon❤

Commenting before I finish the video but That first necklace is gorgeous Steph! I wish they made it in the white gold though. All my jewelry is platinum and white gold as it looks much better on my light olive skin tone. And I agree with your jewelry opinion. All my fine jewelry is unique or made for me. Although in general I’m much more of a bag girl than a jewelry girl at the end of the day.

It's very pretty and much better value than my Chanel costume jewellery for the same price :D I think fine / unique jewellery is definitely the way isn't it. Also more of a bag girl but appreciating jewellery also to finish outfits. Hopefully they do a white gold for you soon!

Would you please do a review/op-ed of the Fendi Origami large bag. I'd love your opinion on how it functions, can it be worn as a shoulder bag, is it cumbersome/awkward to carry. LOL, I rely on your reviews for my purchases.

Totally agree with you about all of these items. But I did get the baguette in a lovely light brown houndstooth & wool fabric style. Nobody will ever see it duplicated IRL because it was on the website for a short time. It looks great year round, with a summer dress and especially in fall/winter with a camel colored coat. Also highly recommended the Prada Dad Sandals. Soooo comfortable and also Soooo much more affordable

I ❤GUCCI MARMONT a much more secure bag compared to a YSL loulou bag that can be easily opened in any big and crowded city. Everyone has their own preference. Great video as always.

I love the DeMellier Tokyo bag. However, it only has the thin strap closure. I know I would be having stuff fall out all the time. I just bought a London Midi instead. Very elegant. But I haven’t said no to the Tokyo for certain.

I agree with the Cartier/van Cleef/ Hermes slippers/trench coat. They are so copied and available in high street versions that they are not precious looking anymore. I still like the Chanel flap even though we can get plenty of real leather dupes.

I've spent soooo much money not buying the classic flap! Now I have my dream GHW CF I dont need to fill that gap now. I've moved onto shoes and perfumes 😂

Hate dad sandles sorry if you like them but I don’t - agree with every piece that you didn’t like - great video

I am soo with you on the fendi baguette bag… the design looks soo dated and something my grandmom would wear. Similarly, even the dior saddle bag.. i don’t get the design. And the prada Nylon re- edition. I cannot justifying spending that much on a nylon bag🤷🏽‍♀️

Glad it’s not just me 😄 I think for all those you suggested the DeMellier Tokyo would still be my favourite out them all (maybe not a mini saddle, I do quite like those)

The FJ is pretty. The only comment I have would be name brand aside, if just comparing these pieces and Cartier/VCA on looks. The Cartier/VCA have more energy and life to me, they are more unique (JUC) and yes many have these pieces but the reason is bc they look different then normal FJ pieces. The issue is Cartier/VCA/Tiffany figured out how to create eye catching pieces and they tack their Name to jack up the price. Even Chanel does the same, their costume jewelry is eye catching. I would not pay name brand prices for classic/diamonds /simple pieces but if I am looking for eye catching, luxury brands have captured that. Yes you can go to a jeweler and get a better bang for your dollar but will it be the eye catcher you are looking for. I love the lux brands for their ability to create something eye catching, but hate having to pay the lux prices.

The Fendi first is not very user friendly and doesn’t hold much. The baguette holds quite a bit and comes in different designs. The mulberry you suggested really looks like all the other bags you have. So in theory you are attracted to the design of a handbag box than a brand. I think it’s good to have a mixture of designs to bring some energy to one’s collection. It’s almost like having several Chanel’s/Hermes bags that the same design but different colors. That’s nice but does the collection have energy? Fendi knows how to stay current without going over the top. I disagree that the baguette is dated, why? Chanel/ Hermes have not changed their classics only the color from season to season, does that make these bags dated?

Correct but the Fendi first feels different - more energy. I do have some bags that have similar features for sure but I have many that are quite different to one another. It’s natural to have preferences but this can also be done with colour and size not just style. I don’t think the baguette is dated I mean the style of the buckle makes it look ‘retro’ and I prefer more modern looking silhouettes. Like some people like modern / clean houses and others like cottages - it’s just preference.

P.S. bit of a segue, but you're the only person I can think might know the answer to this question about LV Summer Trunks pieces. I think you published a video a few years ago about a Summer Trunks Neverfull. If I'm right, what did you find about the wear of the paint or decals? I'm looking at a preloved PM, and I love the look of it, but wonder if it'll stand up to wear. Or is it like the Christmas Animation pieces, which are meant for collectors, but not for alot of use; otherwise it flakes off. TIA!

Hey! I don't have those bags anymore I'm afraid so I couldn't tell you. I do have the neverfull with roses on and havn't had any issues with it coming off the bag. I guess it's always. risk but it's not an issue I ever really hear about so I think you might be okay.

Agree with all your choices except one, especially the VC&A jewellery. I worked on Wall Street for many years, and these and the Cartier pieces are worn like flags by wealthy women, broadcasting "I Am Rich". It takes little imagination, but a lot of money to buy these items, and they end up being quite common in certain circles. The exception: I love Max Mara coats....I have about 5 wrap and swing coats, including the very first one I bought in London in 1998, which despite being white, still looks new. They are so well made & timeless, they're worth the money IMHO. However I cannot stand their teddy coats. They look ugly and cheap to me. There, I said it. 😳

The Hermes shoes fit my feet like a glove! The fakes do not. I have the Orans, Oasis, and the wedge sandals. They have lasted forever!! If you have a wider foot, the Hermes is a perfect choice. The "dad" sandals ... YIKES! I would never wear them, no matter what brand.

Steph I want to buy the Hermes Day Sneaker….can you please comment on the sizing of them….do they run true to size or otherwise?

I feel like I’m being attacked by the Classic Flap! They are everywhere. I agree I think the look dare I say “old lady like” and I’m old enough that the last thing I need is an old lady bag lol! No offense for those who love them….just not my style and the heck with that price. I have a 30 year old Cartier watch and it still works and looks great. Fine jewelry and high quality bags (not a lot of the new stuff though) does last a lifetime and it doesn’t care if you gain weight!

Because people like to see new bags, I don’t hate the classic flap I just don’t love one enough to buy myself. You can appreciate things without buying one yourself and some of the new colours / styles are lovely.

Paying so much for footware which might but. E comfortable is illogical for me

i acrually think the fendi baguette would really suit your style

Yeah I do agree! I do like some of them but compared to other bag styles I prefer the Fendi First and Peekaboo more so I don’t think I’ll ever have a baguette

Have you seen Tanner Leatherstein? He is my hero. After watching his bad dissections ill never buy YSL (Or Prada) ever again. Poor quality hardware and mediocre craftsmanship. For the same price you can get something exquisite and of high quality
