​@Thundercock He wasn't just a 7 footer though. He was 7'6". That's like saying someone was a mediocre 6 footer when talking about a player 6'6". When you get over 7 feet it's even more of a factor. How many players over 7'5" have had longevity in the league? Many big men 6'10 or 6'11" have, and only a few "7 footers" have. But what about players that are over 7'5"? I'll end this with saying you're dumb.

Yao Ming is special. We might never see someone like him again.

Yao Ming's ability, at 7'6", to catch those quick passes from guards, was really impressive. When he got the position down low, there aint much you can do.

Yao's overall posture at that height was amazing. He looked like a regular person evenly stretched in photoshop to superhuman size.

Yao really had the right vets around him. That’s what the nba is missing. You can see his teammates coaching him and pushing him to play to his potential the whole game. Each one teach one 💯

The fact how yao can tip the ball in the hoop and dunk past 2 seven footers (Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Bradley) is very impressive

Yao Ming is such a nice person that he makes Dirk look like a villain, if he was a little bit more a badass, he would have been more dominate then Shaq

Yao could have had a greater career if not for his injuries. If he and T-Mac played with each other healthy, they could have made deep playoff runs.

Yao had a grrrrrreat career. He played 9 years in the NBA. He was an 8 time NBA All-Star. And he's in the NBA HoF‼️ He retired at 31 yrs. old. But, the avg. NBA career is just shy of 5 years. Throughout NBA history, there have been more than 4,400 players, and the average career length is around 4.5 years. This is not surprising considering that basketball is a dynamic, fast-paced, very physical sport, so it is not common to see players over the age of 35 in the league, let alone 40.

As a Filpino of Chinese and Bruneian descent! Watching Yao and Pacquiao on the highest stage in the world boosting my Asian pride lol

Dirk had shawn in his team. Dirk didn't play center position in his team due to the fact that a much taller shawn was there and that position obviously went to him

@@Spartan888able that's true. Basketball in general is just very exceptional regarding heights. These are selected people based on height. It's nothing that a normal person would see or encounter unless you are one of those rare people that have tall family. Then that is normal for you. But for most people it is not, they may never meet anyone as tall as dirk in their lives

Yao was school Shaq in his prime, and Shaq couldnt do nothing. Yao's prime was unfortunately cut short bc of injuries, if not for that we would have dominated for another decade.

he needed the weight to compete with prime shaq. their first few games, he may have blocked shaq a few times, but he still couldn't stop shaq. shaq still got 70 points in 2 games over him. after he gained weight, they were competing quite evenly.
