Someone with vision and deep pockets. There's over $300k in renos in that place. 6500sq'ft. of broadloom needs to be replaced. Fresh paint alone $25k+. Lighting, Plumbing fixtures, Landscaping and pool equipment etc. It will add up fast.

@@corysimmons455 Where I am from it is. McMansion is probably in the 4K to 5K range while anything above that that is well constructed and has luxury features is considered a mansion.

It's really nice throughout the attached video 🎥 showing of the abandoned mansion; but, that in door jacuzzi(?) and sauna is 😘 a real extra treat.

Can you imagine the chlorine smell in your bedroom? I don't think so

Things would replace 1.The carpet with hardwood 2.Shower doors 3. Master bathroom his and hers sitting areas .Take hot tub make at whole area a lounge . Make the shower and one area .4. Kitchen make it larger and lighter. 5. Paint . 6 Enjoy

With around $100k someone could completely remodel this into a modern home. It's rough right now but could end up being really nice once it's brought into 2021. Especially if you have a home business. One thing is for sure, ALL of that carpet has got to go!

@@robertahearn4489 200k is the minimum cost to remodel this place. I have done a remodel this year myself and you can't just put the cheapest finishes in a home like this, you need to put in high end stuff if you want it to be worth it.

I wondered the same exact thing when I read this heading bt looking at this gorgeous mansion( great video tour of mansion & so through, too.... not two seconds long like you tend to see on “tix toc” but detailed tour here too! I love this blog & Utube! ) I wondered why this was abandoned? I figured something had to happened here although the beautiful “HOWIE-IN-THE-HILLS” mansion in “HOWIE-IN-THE-HILLS”,(. Yup! A real town ha!) Florida remained abandoned for yrs , after the natural death of owner. Finally someone bought it a few yrs ago & renovated it but this mansion is in excellent condition( unlike the one in Florida that sat vacant for yrs!). I am curious, just lie you wondering if something happened here? Take care Glory!♥️

I meet the woman that owed it here in Dallas she lived in it from 2001 to 2011 but it was $4M on a 30yr mortgage & she said after her medical equipment business crashed she simple couldn't afford $11k/mo anymore so therefore it went into foreclosure.

11 grand a month for a home like this is literally nothing. Thats only like a little over a $130k/year salary. Only just A single person with a $150k-180k/year salary could have easily afforded this home. Its a small mansion that could be perfect for a single person or a small family. I like that its not huge like most other mansions in the 4-5m price range

Dang! She literally thrown away over $1,320,000.00 for 10 yrs mortgage, not including tax and $100,000.00 on HOA. This is why people need to think smart and don't get too greedy. She could easily own a nice $500,000.00 home and pay off already.

All I can think of is, wow, that’s a lot to take care of. My little 3 bdr ranch comes close to killing me.

I'm LIKING because he even pulled back that burgundy curtain to let us see what was behind it. Lol! Good video coverage of the property.

The location and the house are perfect. I have been to Lake Whitney, and it is beautiful to see. I have looked at videos about large homes such as this would definitely make great places for animal sanctuaries. Some of them could also be turned into places for the elderly and veterans who need a safe place to call home, plus, there are also homes families which need someplace to live, so if I had the money to buy these places believe me I would. To me that is what having that kind of money means to me, after all, you cannot take it with you.

The house is very interesting but do us a favor please shut the door and lock it behind you when you go into the house don't leave that door wide open you never can tell who can walk in while you're in there you know the world has changed a lot. Thank you for the professional tour great as always

I literally just said the exact same thing, also I came to the exact same number! 500k is probably at the low end to get this property up to today's standards. Also those that can afford a big mansion will more than likely tear this place down, and simply have a new one built in its place.

Very nice home..The top cabinets in kitchen would have to come down to open it up and definitely a gas stove!!

Don't be fooled by the price. Beautiful home with tons of potential but the maintenance on a home that big with a pool and nearly 5 acres of land would be enormous. That's not including the taxes or HOA. Purchase price is one thing but upkeep is another.

There has to be a good reason why it is abandoned. Legal issues, foreclosure, etc. The longer it stays empty, the greater the chance that it will deteriorate. Hopefully they will sell it soon.

Looks like there's an ongoing case between the POA and the developer as they continue to use POA fees for the maintenance of the golf courses. The POA fee looks like $1000 per year in 2 payments, property taxes on the place would be crazy, likely around $8-9k annually and it only goes up. 10% increase in home value every year, that's with homestead exemption, which you have to be in the house for a year to claim. Even if you could afford it, it's pretty far from town, expensive to fix and expensive to keep. Owner probably made some bad bets and could afford to keep it and it's inconveniently far from the city for a primary residence and a little expensive for a weekender. Tough sell.

It depends on the location, video needed to explain how far as shopping, school, and public transport. If the house is too isolated to other facilities and hospitalities then it not worth the price

maybe have to stick 1 million plus into the house depending on taste or style you going for but it has serious potential
