I just wanted to say thank you. I live in the states and have a Chevy Colorado with this 6L50 and you saved me a whole lot. The shop I took it too couldn't find parts and didn't feel comfy warrantying this repair. they best they could do was order a new Chevy transmission 35 days away for replacement. 6 grand in transmission and 14 hours in labor. Using this video I bought the kit on-line, and embarked on my 1st trip inside the transmission. It worked and I can't be happier. thanks so much.

Great video! I have a 6l50 that was fully overhauled by a shop less than 5k miles ago, it’s now throwing code for pressure control solenoid C stuck closed. I have zero gears. Won’t even budge. If I disconnect battery and let the codes reset then try my trans shifts for about 25 seconds until it throw the code again and loses all gears. Any advice?

For the record, the new rubber seals as well as the tools should be coated with fresh Dextron VI before installation, this will prevent damage to the rubber seal & aid in install and that it properly seats inside the grooves.

I have a 2017 Z71 with 65000km. When driving in sport mode ONLY, when I shift from 2 to 3, the car jumps into gear. All other changes are good. It’s very violent when it does it. This does NOT occur when in full auto mode. The box has a trans cooler and and has had 4 flushes. The first when the cooler was fitted. The 2-4 flushes were done by Holden as it was the first step to resolve the issue. But this didn’t fix it. I was told by Holden that this is a common “trait” and all do it. Watching this video, do you think that this may be the issue. No need to here in Newcastle want to touch it.

hi, we do heaps of same repairs as in this vid. the valve body to case seals flatten and harden causing cross leaks, especially when fluid warms up and thins out, the top hat seals and also the solenoid filter seals flatten out. we also usually add a valve body end plug kit as the plugs are often loose from new. we also update to an 8 ball separator plate on vbody as gm recommend. if you are interested in the parts contact us via facebook link in description. cheers
