Well done and well explained.. I am a retired welder and the hardest thing is teaching noobies to relax and go with the flow.Cheers!
I finally passed my 6G welding test, thank you for this video.
as a license welder i can say this one's really well explained so for anyone who's watching to learn (and not just cuz they're a heckin nerd like me) this is how to weld pipe on a license level. good job @WeldTube

What the f ck is a "licensed welder"? That's like someone saying they're a licensed dishwasher. You must be in europe or asstralia or somewhere like that.

Hard to believe when I went to welding school in 1973 that we learned how to weld pipe by putting a 6010 root pass in and low hydrogen the rest of the way isn't it unreal that things are still done the same way 50 years later. What if your doctor or dentist did things exactly the same way they did 50 years ago

good description of what you are doing while actually welding and good arc shots. Nice job
Your welding sure reminds me that I'm an amateur. Thanks for the in-depth description!
Pipe welding is a real art👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I love how you get straight to the point great vid gonna sub
awesome stuff im heading into a Boilers apprentice rogram in a few weeks and im new to 6g so watching this helped me learn the movements of the ody to keep the rod in the center of the pipe as im working along, ive got my 6010 stiching down pretty good but need to work on that fill and cap
I've been welding for 40 years started with Gas welding then Arc with original Fleetweld 5s Great video. Used bridge sections rather than tacks just knock them off as you go round.
I recieved a false welding education from St Cloud Technical Community College. This channel has taught me way more about technique, fit up and everything else . Thank you guys!

You mean apprenticeship class? If it's the way they did it when I went it'll be 2 weeks classroom, 1 week shop. 6-10s

@@brandonstrickland6444 no not all. It was 3 weeks 6 10s, all shop. and constantly and I mean CONSTANTLY burning rod. I think I was going through about 5 pounds a day. They were very thorough, and professional with all the training. I walked out with two certifications, SMAW and FCAW.
Thank you buddy for your time I am taking some classes on welding at the moment to learn this look forward to it hopefully is a good pay as well as it’s fun as it is I hope I run into old-school welders to learn the old-school stuff as well I believe it’s always good to learn from the old to the new School 🙏👍🏼👍🏼up
Great video! Excellent job explaining everything strp by step to help a student in need 👏👍
That's a great tutorial on the 6G weld test.
I’m learning from your videos. Great content
Great job and demonstration as always Rosendo!
This is an awesome demonstration in how to weld pipes being a welding instructor give you 💯
Seeing him weave both left and right still in steady mode left me speechless.
excelente demostración, muy claro ahora llevar a la practica. saludos desde Chile .
I have certs but none for pipe welding, now I'm fortunate enough to be learning on the job and trying to learn a lil extra on downtime.👩🏭
The best 6g pipe video I've ever seen on here. 33 years exp
Nice one bro, you really pulled it off smoothly. Got a text next week for a job. Your tips were helpful. Thanks for sharing
Great explanation as always and fabulous job
Great job explaining 👏 Thank you 🤘
One of my favorite welds!
80% of total proccess time is setup, resulting in 20% welding time under the hood. If you rush setup to 20% of total proccess time, expect total time under the hood to grow to 80% with 20% quality.
Great video Rosendo , excellent explanation and technique 💯
I learned a lot thank you for the uploader

Great video, thanks for your time.
Awesome way this explained the welding. I started welding at age 4, at my grandfather's shop. But the newer welders use tigg welding to do the first pass. Id trusted this guys welding over the tigg. Tigg is like welding with and Oxygen an Asetalin.
Thank you sir to share you tichniques. Now, im already NCll holder.. godbless sir
very helpful for newbies like us thank you
This guy explains things very well, it would've been cool to have him as an instructor when I was there. Apart from the one and only Abraham.
Well done, greetings from the Netherlands
Good job man, thanks for sharing 👍
I remember as an apprentice being told to just watch and learn. Some really good welders aren't good at teaching, or explaining what they do. This is great though, really good video.
should have watch this before my assessment. from PH
Saludos mi chingon excelente clase saludos desde Chicago il👍🇲🇽
Old-School Pipefitter/Boilermakers taught me to use about a 24" pipe wrench off the face of the outer side of pipe for your arm rest or tie your lead around the pipe for an armrest, even use a pipe stand. 6G Certified and X-Ray quality

Great instruction! I find myself watching these videos like a 16 year old gets sucked into tiktok. So, on a 6G it looks like I need to manipulate my wrist while maintaining the relative same travel and work angle? Gonna be tough, but I'm up for it. Thanks again!
I wish I knew some of these techniques I would’ve done well on my test
Thank you for sharing this video
Thanks
Great job bro
I’ve NEVER had lof with only grinding one side of the tack. If you leave a keyhole you can come back off the keyhole… the tie in coming into a tack is the critical part to grind.
Gracias colegas !!!!👍👍👍👍
terima kasih.. thanks for yours video..👋
Buena enseñanza Me encanta la soldadura
Gd day sir i like that your welding procedure im also a welder combination
If you have slag stuck in the top of the 6010 weld will it show up on the test or will the 7018 burn it out?
Purfect showed pipe welding skills thanks sir. Sir welding machine running hours continuously or not ?
Nice weld beed👍👍
Good job 👍

Did u take the UA VIP career course?
Prep is everything
Quick question if your beading with a 6010 why are you doing an uphill bead is it bcuz the 7018 fill and cap. Thanks
Were you javing a problem w the keyhole opening up way too much, is metal suposed to flow around it?. Can you do videos on how the tie ins are done in the feild. doesnt the pipe welder have to appriove if its good enough
Just finished this at school. I liked 1/8 land with a zipped thru root opening. Straight drag root pass. Cap is the hardest part of this test
@djwill1481
Жыл бұрын
Did u have 3/32 gap?
6010 drag down root opening. 6010 puddle cap ( high arc length 1/4” out 1/8” in). Make sure flush then Cap circles.
Yes and when you can weld a G6 you can weld is one of the hardest test pieces there is
Can someone explain the 6010 hot pass? I’ve been taught that is a strict no. For us it is always 6010 root and 7018 all the way out after root
Still amazing sir how to be you i love that kind of work!! 😊😊😊😊🙏
Good weld brother
How many amps did u do the root , and how much dig did u put
Exelente trabajo 💪😎
What size of 6010 rod 1/8 or 5/32 and what temperature you apply, same question for the 7018 rod, good job
Good skill mr also
Awesome thanks
Very fantastic 👍👍
