When I took my Masters exam many years ago, I was told by one person to study transformers, another told me load calculations for multi family dwellings. Another told me to be well versed in conduit and box fill. .... I believe about a quarter of the questions on my exam were on swimming pools!! I think the first time I read about swimming pools was during the test!

It's going to be A VERY LARGE swimming pool to need a 480V 3-phase pool pump. I'm thinking about a large swimming pool at maybe a hotel in Vegas or some other resort, not a residential swimming pool. It's interesting though because 20mA is a lot more than 4-6mA and that we've been told is the threshold between life and death when it comes to electrocuting the human body. How is 20mA ok? Is it because of the higher voltage?
