Just sharing a fact:- *A QHD display set at FHD still drains more battery than a native FHD phone display, cause even at FHD, the display is still lighting up all 4.5M pixels compared to just 2.6M of let's say the K30 pro zoom*

Then there's no use setting it at fhd(except when gaming and other gpu intensive tasks). But at the same time qhd is what we're paying our money for, so why set it at fhd.

@@momosbiryani You actually have more quality at 1080p. All if the AMOLED panels are pentile. At 1080p you get 2 full-sized red/subpixels and 2 half sized green ones working at lower brightness each. At 1440p each half sized green subpixels act as if they were a full sized subpixels then it interpolates the red/blue subpixels to fill the missing 1/3 r&b subpixels. For mobile only laptops and Galaxy tab line uses a fully RGB AMOLED panel.

That's so true, at the mean time, qhd oled setting at fhd still better quality than native fhd oled, so it's like a trade, more battery dreain in exchange of better quality especially in color texture.

Haha gonna cry? Dont gave sorry, fullHD it's full HD. When you port 2k to FHD you are desactivate the most pixels to turn on fullHD.. Poco have the Best battery

Hey Nick, you do an excellent job with those tests. The only thing that I find missing is "standby". It is a crucial part of people's smartphone use (basically when you leave your smartphone while you sleep). It also shows a lot about the manufacturer's optimization. I would advise you to leave em 8 hours on standby as a part of the test.

The Red Magic is the only phone that It hasn't any mark in red for temperture. The cooling system was enabled?

I really love the way this guy gives us a draining test of smartphones very detailed. You can't ask for more everything is on the screen. I wish I have one of those. smartphones 😢

Great test man, keep up the good work! I was surprised to see that the K30 Pro is the most efficient (8.4mAh / minute). I actually expected the X50 Pro to be the most efficient because it has the smallest screen (6.44" vs 6.67"). I have noticed that the (screen and) battery sizes increased significantly this year. This is a good year for battery life.

Did you turn off DSP in the blackshark 3 pro settings? It's an independent image processing chip (pixelworks chip) that smooths fps in videos and games and makes them look better.
