@@drewhender3999 I have my S6 edge since 2015 when it first came out, just a few days after its UK release but I use perfectly to this day without any issue. The battery life is a joke tho but what can I expect from 4 years old phone. I'll be upgrading to OnePlus 7 Pro or Huwaei P30 Pro soon, these two phone have some reputation based on their reviews.

I have the phone and I set the resolution to adaptive instead of always 2k and it seems to work, at least for my usage. I got 44 minutes screen on time and went down to 89% from 96-97% when I unplugged the cable in the morning. With 2k resolution I got 4 hours and 30 minutes while transferring everything from my iPhone with the switch app (the battery usage said 40% of the battery was used by that app for transferring the 50Gb of photos, videos and music). I don't think it is worth watching videos in 1080p instead of 2k for the battery saving, you will get savings from the 60hz switch (the phone switches automatically to 60hz if it plays youtube videos, don't know about other apps).

Oneplus 7 Pro got higher resolution and 50% higher refresh rate which means it has 56,25% more pixels to run at 50% higher refresh rate which at the end counts to 84,375% more pixels displayed at the same time. Still so impressive for Mi 9? It's only 32 minutes difference between them. That shows us how much power GPU and screen combined need in Oneplus 7 Pro.

I’m not a fan of any phones tested here but I have 2 of them. 🤷‍♂️ with this test, I was impressed on Xiaomi. *AND IT WILL BEAT THE SH*T OUT OF THOSE OTHER PHONES WHEN CHARGING IS THE TOPIC* according to the reviews it takes only an hour. 😮

Or they would have to redesign the inside of phone. So they have to make it thicker. And if u think about it 5hr 40 at smoothest fluid display and highetest resolution possible is good... @Nuno Herdeiro 20W wireless charging and 27 W fast charging, close to the 30W wrap charge the oneplus 7 pro provides. and the price is way cheaper. 2k display is nice but really a gimic IMO, people would end up decreasing the resolution in the software to preserve battery life. Yes i do agree the lack of 4K battery is a kill joy, however overall not bad. I think the teardrop notch is the best way to optimize the screen.

Can u please use the snapdragon version of the s10 because I think in the snapdragon version the battery life optimized better

Thanks for this battery test! Now i am wondering if it is possible to set oneplus 7 pro fhd with 90hz , or qhd with 60hz. Will it make a difference with the battery

This was a good battery endurance test between the phones that were used. Before the test started in the video I was under the impression the One Plus 7 Pro would come in first place for being the newer phone, but it didn't. I also had hopes for the Galaxy S10+ to be first too, but it came in 3rd place which was too bad. At least it beat the One Plus 7 Pro though. Due to the fact that adjustments were made in this video for the battery life test to be conducted, maybe in another video with the same phones used, conducted another test where settings are set at default right outta the box. Only a select few would adjust the resolution, but most will not for general use of the phone.

Awesome video! Now we need a charging text with the same phones... And just to make it easier... Don't use the iPhone cause we all know it's gonna be 5th 😂😂

How heavy were the apps that you were using. I saw another battery life test with the s10 plus where it lasted 11hours

And ironically , the phone that Arun is using is being charged up

I think mi9 won according to its battery capacity. Great optimization

I think it won purely on its $200+ price point difference between it and any of its competitors. Damn shame it has very little U.S. network compatibility. 😔

@@RAW_Reality actually it works perfect on AT&T or T-Mobile. I have the Mi 9 global version and there bands match perfect. Sprint is a no no, Verizon works on some LTE bands but not lower and not LTE everywhere but I did get it to pick up a Verizon LTE band

That's impressive for the OP 7 Proto last that much with that resolution + the higher refresh rate. Probably will be the 2nd or 1st if it was on FHD+ and 60HZ refresh.

There is an article on Android authority saying the difference is between 5 to 7 hours screen on time between the screen modes, so you're probably correct

Why don't you make a video for charging speed along with drain test...?

Good video. Would love to see the same but with lower brightness, like around 25%, which is what I usually run at. I know they all need to be calibrated to the same nits but seems in this video you set that pretty high (how many nits?)
