In case no one answered you, the first mini you picked up that you didn't recognize is the camera you zoom around at the beginning of every round. Used to try and find the enemy before the round starts.

Please do not support Mythic as they have done a lot of bad and this game was supposed to release summer of 2021. Save your money if these games ever hit anywhere else. They pretty much held this game for ransom if people didn’t pay a ridiculous amount.

I think the tape is annoying as well but it is used as the minis are made in one factory the plastic insert in another and the minis put in but the box is made in a third. So the minis in the insert are sent to be put in the box. If no tape the risk of misplacing a mini or part prior to getting in the box goes up.

Skipped over bits of this to leave it as a surprise for when it arrives. Does everything fit nicely into the big box ? I didn’t buy the 3D terrain. Will there be a huge void left in the big box because I didn’t get that ?

This would fit on my warhammer gaming table perfectly fine as my table is 6ftx4ft so my games room is perfect for this as well. And then I’ll probably store the models in my cabinet instead of in the storage box

i really wanted to get the alt skins and the storage box, but i had to sack those to pay for the ransom, so sad :(

The games are being packed at the factory. Those large pictures were "bonus" extras for the Smooth Operator pledge for the extra contribution.

I can't even watch this at the moment because I am so angry at Mythic for their lies about Hel ( the game is completely finished) and the fact that I have paid £700 for Hel and Anastyr, including tax and shipping and they have failed to honour refunds for all the backers who requested them. I am going outside to set fire to Reichbusters and Super Fantasy Brawl!!!!

yeah - unfortunately, for all-in backers the arrangement seems not as beneficial as with Orcquest in the past. The fact that all former backers of Orcquest no matter their original pledge level received the all-in pledge with the revived version from Monolith, raised sour voices. With Anastyr all former backers - no matter their original pledge level - received the core game - which I estimated the typical CMON tag of around 100-150€ - and will have to pay for any add-ons again.... and still there are people who seem to expect CMON to issue the refunds they addressed to Mythic Games a long time ago... Strange world....

CMON is going to be made to feel serious pain on this. Any Anastyr campaign they run, we're going to be there in force reminding people how they screwed us with the bare minimum.

I was hoping you could show us the other maps as well. Like Coastline and Border, which where exclusive to contribution givers.

I got everything except for the laser sight as I don’t need that. Yeah the wait and the contribution sucked, but looking at the game in this video I think it’ll be worth it to me personally

I had actually hooped to late pledge this but then before they opened up that option all hell broke loose. I'm thinking it doesn't look good for ever having another opportunity.

New Mythic games update. CMON now owns the ip of Anastyr.

I hate that I can't store my expansion maps in with the rest of the game because I wouldn't pay £50 extra for the box to put them in. I was originally an all in gameplay backer but after it went sideways I had to drop a map pack and 2 years of operators to break even. It's sad knowing I'll never be able to get those additional characters (they've likely lost the license by now) but I don't regret my decision, we had no idea whether this was even going to fulfill, I didn't want to throw my money away (like Mythic did).

They videoed the boxing, that is pretty much what all-in folks will get, as is. I can't wait for my first and last game from Mythic.

I think they showed the video, on kickstarter of this one actually being packed at the factory...

Interested to hear your comments on mythic dropping anastyr and hel and not refunding shipping or anything else.

I wanted Monolith to grab it. At least it's something wih CMON but that relies on Mythic passing on our info and then it'll only be worth around $70 USD. I paid $345 USD so I've been bent over and screwed.

I think the reason for the light coming through on all sides of windows and doors is to make it easy to see entry points for attackers

Perfect timing for a Mythic games posting since they just released Hel and Anastyr to CMON and are walking away from those games

I got the all in too. And had to reduce it to pay the ransom. So, hopefully still get the game, just not the one I actually paid for. Fuck Mythic.

Looking good. If this game ever arrives it'll be my last Mythic Games game I'll back since I've lost over 600 bucks on the Anastyr campaign. edit: I'm probably out of Kickstarter/crowdfunding all together. Apart from a very few exceptions, it just isn't worth it anymore

6 Siege was before I got in to the hobby but I love the video game and I saw this when late pledge was opened and debated it. But never pulled the trigger and ultimately I am glad I didn't but this is triggering some of my FOMO hope it's a good game.

It was originally planned as a retail map pack when the game was planned for a retail release, but once everything went down and they turned to the contribution scheme then they added it to the pledge of everyone who contributed as a thanks/sweetener.

That little mini is the cameras that attackers used to patrol and look for defenders in the game but I believe it’s the KS round counter if I recall correctly

I wonder if this will suffer the same fate on darkest dungeon and sell for way less than what backers ended up paying to get their game

It won't. Those games of DD were already made, they only made copies of 6 Siege for people who made contributions, what they have left over they will sell. Base game alone will be $150-$200 and it will be very limited stock

I will respond to the thumbnail. No. No it isn't worth it. The logo being displayed in my collection would hurt my soul haha. Mythics logo is a stain on KS and the board gaming community.

Not after the contribution

I'd like to know what we backers can do about Mythic Games thievery. They squandered our money (even VAT and shipping) and then they sold Anastyr + HEL IPs and grabbed another cash for it. They lied about Anastyr + HEL being their flag ships (see their claim after restructualization a year ago) and knew from the start that they are going to use our money for other purposes. Backers who spent several hundred dollars for expansions (and more for shipping + VAT) will be screwed by just the core box. It is a slap in the face of all crowdfunding backers. Many lost confidence in crowdfunding. I think kickstarter or gamefound should help us backers to get at least VAT + Shipping back. I am curious what @TheKingOfAverage will comment about this case.

Looks quite impressive, but I'm still very glad I never got involved with Mythic

As usual with Mythic Games, when they actually get around to producing the games they say they will, it's pretty good. However, in my opinion the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

Mythic just dropped updates for Hel and Anastyr that another company will be taking over. Not sure what's going to happen with their other (2?) games. I'm both relieved and angry. Angry because I'm probably just out the $ for Hel (thank goodness I only did $1 for Anastyr), but relieved because there's a chance I may actually get those games someday. *Edit: OMG CMON bought them! I do not feel good about the changes they'll do to Hel though. Anastyr will probably be fine.

I'm just genuinely concerned about the quality of the story given CMON isn't particularly known for doing that well. I'm also afraid that they're going to sanitize the miniature designs, because that was literally the main reason I backed that game.

@@williamblack6912 Well personally didn't even get this game, but my friend got the core box and sold it on ebay, got 50$ more then the amount he paid including the additional shipping. Game is very sought after because of the Six Siege IP, people that don't know anything about the Mythic Shenanigans.

Speaking of Mythic Games, as I look at the video, they sent a new update on Anastyr!! In short it's dead, like Hel, and it's CMON that will buy the IPs. Maybe it'll offer better chance for the refunds if they send money their way, I'm still waiting on my refunds of Darkest Dungeon and Anastyr. I think there is a video to make on this.

If mythic games directly sent me a copy of the game (free of any needed contribution), then I'd say it was worth it. For the average backer? No. Not worth it.

Oh my goodness, the dream is real! I hope that HEL goes into production soon, but I believe that Darkest Dungeon wave 2 and RotN are taking priority... I really wish that HEL wasn't the first Kickstarter I ever backed.

Still pisses me off I wont get this game. I pre-ordered this at a local game store, they never communicated when Mythic asked for extra ransom money. So I just lost my money and will never see this game. Fuck Mythic! Also Mythic is still the main reason I stopped backing project on Kickstarter etc.

If you pre-ordered this from a game store (and not through kickstarter), ask the store for a refund.

The only reason you got your game is because you're a streamer. Like you I did not send them any additional money. They still made their goal. What a sham.

Not sure if I heard this right but did @kingofaverage say he didn't pay the ransom and had only originally pledged the base but somehow got all of this? It frustrates how BIG KZreadrs get all this stuff and before people who actually paid both times. Frankly I didn't watch the entire video because I wan to be surprised when I get my copy which hopefully is soon

He got somewhat financed to do this. Although I have to say considering the cost he originally had to tribute to get the game is apparently enough as a finance for Kingo Favarage to make a coverage video for your game, then that is not too expensive.

I know the situation is sucky, but im frankly so excited for this game. Im part of a very active Discord which plays this game often on TTS and currently have around 70~ plays. The game is fantastic, one of the best skirmish games ever made imo. Hopefully people can separate their feelings around the kickstarter issues and recognize what a fantastic game it is

Man this is kinda rough, being someone who went all in and then paid the ransom in an attempt to not lose my initial larger pledge. I have a love hate relationship with this game as you would expect. The rough part is, watching you unbox it, I have no idea why they would care for any kind of review as they don't have enough product to even provide for all the people like yourself who only paid the initial ask. Honestly, once it's on my shelves I don't know if I even care to play it as it's got so much baggage attached to it at this point. What I am sure of is that after this debacle, I'm pretty much done with Kickstarter (beyond a few games / companies). Having backed exactly 25 projects like this, you'd have to think that means something to KS, but I guess not as they let this stuff continue.

With that said, I just realized about an hour after I gave this response that hotmail/outlook seems to have an issue receiving emails from Gamefound.... Did all the troubleshooting ie..whitelisting domain and sender, checking spam and junk folders. I have not gotten any email from them in quit some time, so lets hope that isn't my next source of issues in that I missed something important. :/

They may have extra production copies they need to sell. But it's possible they want people to be able to see the quality of the product, because with Hel and Anastyr being resolved, they're going to turn their eyes towards their other projects (e.g. Monsterpocalypse). If they don't find a buyer for that IP and don't declare bankruptcy, they'll ask backers for a large contribution. Those backers may benefit from seeing what came out of the R6 mess.

I paid the ransom so I am going to get the game...most likely. But honestly though and putting you on the spot, what are you doing with your free copy of the game when there are backers that didnt pay the contribution who are not getting anything (and likely no refund)? Have you considered giveaway your free copy or even to just your patreon if they are one of these backers? Edit: KoA did backed the campaign and paid for his game + shipping. Like a lot of other backers, he just didn't pay the contribution plus 2nd shipping. I was under the misconception that he never put a cent up for the game and imo should keep the game if he enjoys it.

I didn't watch the whole 2 hours of the video but I think it was "I paid and I didn't paid", so he only paid the original KS but not the ransom money that other backers either paid (get game probably) or didn't paid (no games, no refund probably)? Was that the gist of it or did I miss something else? I know KoA paid ransom for DD as he said but just not for 6:Siege? Either way it is a sucky situation for all, just to some a lesser degree.

I think a giveaway is a great idea! To clarify (and I know few channels that would do this in this space): I paid for 6 Siege (and DD, Hel, Anastyr, Monsterpocalypse....) but for 6 Siege specifically, I decided that the extra ask was too much for the game. I then get a message that they sent this to me. So I opted to take a look and share my opinion on the game delivered (perhaps the last they ever do?) I have plenty of videos against Mythic, and after I go over the latest update I'll have another. But as with my gameplay reviews, my component reviews/unboxings stay strictly on topic. Otherwise I'd bomb every CMON review instead of putting several of their games on my top 10's. A dislike for the company tainting my review of their components seems odd to me, at least how my brain works.

This isnt going to retail i think because Mythic is at the edge of going out of buisness. So whats the point besides oh look what i got!? at 55:55 , its a drone. It is very clear that you have never played the video game itself otherwise you would know that this drone is one of if not the most important starting gear item each attacker gets every round. It also upsets me that even though you are a board game reviewer and i appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to review board games for us, you did not have to pay the contribution like everyone else and still was able to get your full all in pledge flown straight to your door while the rest of us who paid for an all-in and didnt pay the contribution will get nothing. Thats kinda like a celebrity committing a crime and using their fame and fortune to avoid charges a normal blue collar citizen would indeed have to deal with. With that being said great in depth review. I could do without all the little nit picking you do throughout the entire video though.

Not sure where my original comment went but any demonstraion of product from that company (which shall not be named) is an endorsement of that company. We as gamers should not accept anything from that company and I feel sorry for everyone who gave that company money. That developer should not be in the business as it just seems that they are all about making ponzi schemes rather than products. I am disappointed this video got made. I know it's your channel and I am just a viewer but gamers need to keep standing up to scammers like the company who made this game and ones who only care about shareholders.

They obviously hold a different opinion than I, or you, or someone else. We're all drawing the line somewhere else. I've been told not to cover any games from CMON for obvious reasons. Red Joker for obvious reasons. Diemension Games, SFG, etc. etc. Plenty of companies do things I disagree with (most of them at least at some point). If I let my opinions of a company color my component reviews and gameplay reviews then I might as well not make any (or at least, far, far, far less of them). I have plenty of videos against Mythic. And it sounds like I'll have at least one more. But my component review remains just that with this unboxing. Same with my reviews concerning gameplay (and not the company attached to them).

I think you doing an unboxing for mythic is an insult to anyone who backed the game. You didn't pay the ransom and got the game before people who paid the ransom. While others that didn't pay the ransom won't get thier game. You are just helping out mythic potentionally sell the games of other backers while they get screwed

If Mythic does have extra copies to sell, that is good for backers, as it means Mythic has income to continue operating, processing refunds, and trying to deliver their other obligations. The people who didn't pay the ransom made their choice. They no longer matter, practically speaking.

@aeryellae5837 or they will just get someone else to buy the game at at a price lower than backers payed and pocket the money and backers that didn't pay the ransom are still out money. That is unless your a game content reviewer that didnt pay the ransom, in that case you get your game.

Continuing to advertise for a company that just frauded 3 million from backers of HEL and Anastyr campaigns is absolutely insane.

He's one of the few KZreadrs to address Mythic Game's shady practices and did so well. As an all-in backer who was forced to pay the ransom I appreciate the way he has approached the issue and I appreciate this video.

I guess you're one of those that chose not to pay? Or couldn't do so? Unfortunate for you, but at the end of the day the game IS being made, people who paid extra ARE going to get it and your rage about it IS not going to help you. The best thing you can do is just move on with your life.

@@KrisSwettKP Yeah...they should never have offered refunds, since realistically they can't afford to pay them. But frankly, King has been saying this for ages and warning people for ages not to expect to get your refund anytime soon, if ever.

King of Shilling back again with a useless unboxing of a game he didn't pay for and a game backers won't receive. This just serves as as advertisement for Mythic Games webstore where they're gonna sell all of the ransomed copies I guess? Mythic is gonna run away with the money from the copies that were actually made before running of with the funds they stole from their legendary ponzi schemes. Kind of crazy that you covered the "news" and then turn around and post an advertisement for a product which will never exist. Really should've stayed quiet about the game imo it's not a good look.

As one of the few youtubers in this space that actually not only pays for copies of games but also rejects money for coverage I find this comment quite humorous. I paid for a copy of 6 Siege and had no idea they planned to send this until they did. But by all means, tell yourself whatever lies you wish. Just know that the facts and stats speak against it.
