I use to do 1000 reps of Ab exercises 5 days a week when I was in highschool and then into college. Sometime in my early 20’s I let all that go. Recently got back into running and doing workouts and I’m up to Atleast 500 crunches a day. It’s not 1000 and it doesn’t have much variations, but I’m working up to it and I’m proud

@@motivate_k3766 “good” is the wrong word. You mean “efficient” and by “weight” I’m assuming you mean fat. Just doing loads of abs will not be the most efficient way to loose fat no, that’s all about less calories than you eat. Measuring that is good for loosing weight. Sure the ab exercises will contribute and burn calories. But for the small movements, over the time it takes it won’t be the most efficient use of that time

Honestly if you want your abs to get bigger, and not just defined try some strength training on your core, not just as many situps as you can do, because just like any other muscle if you want to build size, and not just definition weight resistance is key. Use a dumbell or some form of added weight when doing situps. I use a decline bench so I can lock my legs in to make it easier,and use dumbells. but even at home get a few weights to help with resistance. There are other exercises I do as well on abs , but that's the general idea, plus just like any other muscle if you weight train on them let them recover and regrow, don't do abs every single day. This may not be the routine you used to but try it I bet you'll get better results. Otherwise this is just like running to build leg strength, you'll get results, but not optimally if it's size and definition your after. Also make sure to encorperate twisting to do the sides of the abs and of course diet to actually show those muscles you worked are to achieve because without being 12% or less those abs aren't going to show.
Bro you are hilariously and physically entertaining… and your drive to accomplish anything is contagious… can’t wait to see you in a movie

Doing 500 push-ups everyday for a week to see if your max increases
@tubax926
2 жыл бұрын
It'll definitely increase by a lot. Pushups are really the jack of all trades exercise for the upper body. Same thing with squats, doing 500-1000 squats every day for a week is gonna increase your max by about 70-100% (about double). Make sure you do them with proper form, and most importantly: you gotta focus.

The Biggest Improved I Notice Is The “Yea I Just Did That” Gaze After
I got better results by treating abs as a muscle group like all others, with rest days and progressive loading 1-2 times a week. Of course losing weight with cardio and calorie reduction is important too.
@paulg.6120
9 ай бұрын
💯% on point. This is the best advice I've heard so far in the comments. This is exactly what I tell everybody. Abs are a muscle just like any other train them the same way you would any other muscle. Use progressive resistance, and let them recover, and rebuild. Of course diet is a key part as well, because unless your 12% body fat the abs won't even show. A huge myth is people think a ton of situps is gonna show the abs better by weight loss. Cardio or diet to get a 500 cal deficiency is the optimal way to get down to your target weight. The core is the last place to lose the fat regardless of what you do.
I watch just for the intro so I can say, but you got to focusss🤣
Great video

I love all the challenges, and routines you do for science. People have told me before that you can train abs everyday, but it's like training any other muscle. You have to let it rebuild and recover. You wouldn't do chest everyday, abs are still a set of muscles that need to rebuild. I train my abs with weight resistance as well as a few other routines, my abs are strong, and stand out I just need to lose about 2% more body fat to get all 6 abs to show, but my 4 pack is incredibly defined. 💪
