For a minute it looked like they had a good knockdown and then it flared back up again. The house looked like it was still under construction or renovation. Nothing but lightweight wood structural components, burn fast and very stubborn to extinguish.

That just seems so strange to build a home or homes and have no fire hydrants. Irresponsible. No wonder it looks like they never went around to the charlie side where the fire was.
