And now you let it sit for a few days to warm up 😎. Love the old 6.2s.

Ohhh… dreaming about this one, here in Poland. But, well, the winter time we get like -15/20 degrees (in the south) so I can’t imagine the daily procedure starting this guy up. Best wishes bro 😎

I'm a Ford guy, but when I learned about all the options that 82 and up sixth gen suburbans had with a good mpg 6.2 Detroit Diesel contracted motor I need one now. Nobody else made a full-sized, real steel body truck, with optional auto locking hubs and Eaton e locker in the rear and a Diesel. Front and rear ac, and the bench seats had their own heaters, military spec had Dana 60 front axles and 14 Bolt rear, BADASS

*suv, not truck. I can pile all my friends into it with their shit and go anywhere while it is cold as zombie sick outside because we all have our own heaters under the seats, I found all this out today.

Low compression on 2 cylinders sholud not be an issue when U have manual glow plug controller and new glow plugs. Seems u had dead glow plugs. Mine started in the same way with broken glow plug controller and 5 dead glow plugs.

Hello there, could I use a fragment of your video for my coldstarting compilation? Of course I will put a link to your original video in the description, increasing the original’s popularity too. Thanks a lot for you answer in advance :)

Pretty impressive how the batteries could handle that at that low temperature with all that cranking. Negative 10 is cold for any diesel especially passenger diesels IDI diesels etc even my Volkswagen has big problems at that temperature and it's a 2003 and the glow plugs are fine.

Man. Now that was a hard start! How many miles are on it? How low is the compression? I have owned a handful of 6.2 diesel. i like them for what they are a light duty diesel. Change the oil they last a long time..... Thanks for the vid!

Mr Diesel It had 267K on it when I sold it. Since this video I put in a manual controller and held the glows for 10-15 seconds at a time. made a heck of a difference. Don't know how low the compression was, but I know one cylinder was down enough that you'll hear it pick that low cylinder up about 1 minute after it starts in the video.. I like the old 6.2/6.5s too. Just couldn't justify keeping this one around for what I was offered for it.
