Attention all LGBTQIA+ activist and allies! The Counselor Education Department’s Trust the Process series is pleased to announce a second session for June 2023. Enloe Wilson, the Development Officer: Major Giving of Rainbow Railroad , will be our speaker on Saturday, June 17th, 2023. He will be discussing a topic that is both timely and critical: the repatriation of LGBTQIA+ refugees and their mental health needs.
As a part of Rainbow Railroad, Enloe Wilson has much information to share about helping LGBTQIA+ individuals within this population escape persecution in their home countries and find safe-haven in more accepting nations. Enloe is also keenly aware of the challenges and trauma that many LGBTQIA+ refugees experience as they navigate new cultures, languages, and social norms. During this presentation, he will discuss the mental health implications of repatriation and provide insights on how individuals and organizations can support these vulnerable communities.
