5MF - WebODM Multi Client Access

Ғылым және технология

Now that you have your instance of WebODM in the cloud, you will want to give people access, but without giving them the ability to mess things up. But you don't need multiple instances of WebODM - you can control who sees what very easily.
How to setup WebODM in the cloud can be found here: • 5MF - Sharing Maps and...
WebODM is based on Open Drone Map

I added it to the description (there should also have been a card pop up). But that video can be found here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ga6mqqepirScfJM.html

Hi Barry, awesome video again mate. A couple of questions if I may. I’m guessing the customer needs to set up WedODM from their end? Second question is can the customer also view/manipulate the 3D view? Thanks again Barry. I look forward to your 5MF’s!!

If you set it up in the cloud (see previous video) or it is on a local network that the client has access to then there is no need for them to set up anything. They just access it like a normal website. Yes, they can manipulate the 3D view or do any of the usual things that you can.

Hello Barry. After creating a user and giving them permission on one project out of many, when I log back in as them on the local version of webODM, I can access and view. However, when I log in with the same credentials on the cloud hosted copy of webODM,, I get the message "Invalid credentials. Note that both fields are case-sensitive." Any ideas what I may not be doing correctly? Thank you.

The most likely scenario is that you missed something in the user setup. When I was creating that video I had a similar problem and I had to carefully go over everything to find what I had missed. If you have checked everything and can't figure it out then I would suggest posting the question on the WebODM forum. They are super helpful and have seen most problems and so can probably identify where you might be going wrong much faster than I could. Their fourm is here: community.opendronemap.org/

All sorted Barry once I created Users who need to access the version of WebODM from the internet in Administration/Accounts within the version accessible from the internet. I now need to learn how to use a URL! Will "Not Secure" disappear from in front of the IP address when I do that?

@@rodalcorn6337 As long as you set up a secure URL (https) you should see that message go away. Your hosting provider for the URL should be able to help you with that.
