This painting by Carl Röchlin is called "The Germans to the Front!". The legend says that Admiral Sir Edward Seymour, commander of a multinational force, who was retreating from the boxers in Tianjin immediately send german marines who were reinforcing him to the frontline once they arrived to save the day. This painting was very popular in pre WWI Germany and used on many postcards.

I mean, they did, and were incredibely lucky: as the reinforcements outside of Beijing were reatriting because they were almost without any kind of supplyies (and when they did they were as good as dead) finded a secret Qin armory full of ammo, artillery, food and medicines probably to supply the Imperial Chinese Army in case they face the foreigners (and kinda happened), wich basically saved them and allowed them to give a lot more of fight while denying that power to the chinese, and the american marines that were able to take out the chinese positions made along the tatar wall, wich saved them all of being overrun from that position during the whole siege...

Great film. Sure, the Chinese are white guys in makeup and the Sikh levees of the British are obviously Mexicans, but the soundtrack and acting are top-notch.

All the ''benefits'' of the so called ''modern democracy''. And please don't take me for a Nazi. Don't get me wrong, the Nazis were starting of as a pretty good group, but in the end they brought Germany to it's downfall and thus let the Communists and Capitalists assimilate us all, wich led to even more class divisions. They failed to protect us, so i have no sympathy for them.
