50 years History of Nigerian Politics in Minutes | Politea Ep. 1
Ойын-сауық
Why is Nigerian politics the way it is today? How has vested interest, nepotism, tribalism, election malpractices both during the pre and post-independence era along with other historic moments such as the Biafran War, annulment of the June 12 presidential election and so on shaped our polity?

The perfect balance. Thank you, Thano…sorry, Madeaux. After watching 2 guys talk about babes in Lagos and switching over to watching to babes talk about men in Lagos and then watching a couple blind dates, I can now add a desert made of Politics and served by the beautiful Layla to top it all up. The Universe, balanced as it should be. 🙏🏽

Like you stated, corruption is ingrained in Nigerian politics, and despite how much I'd like to think otherwise, I don't think this year will be any different. Call me cynical, but I don't see the men/women in the shadows ever giving up their powers anytime soon. In a dream world, lets say Obi wins but Senate is still ran by PDP and APC, how will he make any changes ?

Good content. My father fought for Biafra. This was years before I was born. He is my hero. 80 years old now but he has told me many stories of how it was, and it continues to make him sad. He lost many friends and relatives.

The parliamentary system we got from Britain is far better than this presidential system. It holds the prime minister accountable to a far more higher degree, with opposition having the chance to question him every time parliament seats unlike the presidential were the president is just untouchable and unquestionable.
Well done, guys.

Maybe this is more of a history kinda thing - obviously involving politics so maybe it could be a segment or... not 👀😂 idm, but it would be cool to break down how specifically Nigeria even came together in the first place, and understanding post colonialism and neocolonialism and its impact on politics. (Like a timeline - and the timeline can be updated and visually used whenever needed). Bisi on KZread has done some cool work on it, but it would be great to see the research that comes up from yous! Also, could we speak on corporations that exploited and exploits Nigeria? Like Shell, bp, Unilever etc - and what those effects are but also how they stay hidden!
I don't no Nigeria have woman like this who has politics in there brain if we has 100 woman like you things will change
Trust me we blame Lugard
she’s so beautiful omg

Pls don't bring Peter Obi into the fray of ethic based politicians, he has made his campaigns based entirely on issues and not tribe. He has also expressly said people's should not vote for him because of tribe
I think the host/narrator did excellently but it would have been nice to see those supporting videos and images full screen and not just watch her talk for 16 minutes

I love that they were short clips actually, that way people can go searching for relevant info… it’s easier for me to go through a 16mins awesome summary, than to sit through what will easily be 4hrs of video if every full clip was posted 😊
Exploitation/exploration.. Allegedly.. Devil's milk.. 😂
A new president can’t save y’all.

If you are going to make political statements and want every Nigerian to take you seriously, you might want to steer clear off indirectly endorsing a candidate.
