This is one of the best 50 Cent songs I've heard in years. It sounds like he actually put some effort into writing the lyrics unlike songs like Candy Shop and Disco Inferno etc. years ago. Those songs are catchier for sure but this one has a much deeper meaning and is much more 'real'. Keep it up Fifty.

50 I stumbled across this song today and it really took me for surprise when my mind flashed back to when this song came out. Story goes, a scronny white kid who grew up in a predominately Hispanic and Black town and neighborhood was tired of being picked on for being the slim dude to everyone. 1 day, that kid got his ass kicked by 3 dudes from school. Bloody and scraped up, he walked home, put in some earbuds, and stumbled across this very song the day it released to KZread. The fire that built in that kid, made him change after hearing this song. The entire summer of 2014 while all the other kids were asleep at 5-6am, this kid was running 15miles before they ever woke up, and began training in not only weight lifting and boxing but also dieting for weight management. The boy weighed 145lbs durning May of 2014. By the time school came back into the year, the boy had returned to school in everybody’s disbelief, 195lbs. And eventually met face to face with the kids that had jumped him prior. And fought them 3-1 and mopped the floor with them. I was barely 15. And hearing this song again after so many years… has reminded me of how much of myself I’ve forgotten in the years. But now ill never forget what gave me that drive to work for something and where it came from. Thanks 50
