This shit brings a tear to my eye, it makes me realize how lucky i was to grow up when i did. Born in 92 got to see the best of the 90's, which unfortunately if you know what 9/11 did, all that carefree, neighborhood love, kinda started to fade, but luckily the music was still keeping us kids connected. And 50 really helped everyone stay postive and having a regular childhood with a great soundtrack. Man one of my first gfs and I listen to a ton of 50, they were even playing his shit at the little town fair we had lol. Once 2009 hit its like everything changed again, and i started to feel old and disconnected from the new wave, and i wasnt even 18 yet lol. It took me a long ass time to get into Lil Wayne and that whole new trap style. Just wasn't what i knew. Hearing this track brings me right back to 2003 like it never changed. Wish 50 would drop one last tape before he permanently stops with the music. Im sure he'll always come with a random single but we need that one last Superbowl win from 50 and i think he could pull it off with 14 tracks. Go out on a high note, outsell every other rapper that year with a throwback

Thank you 50 cent for renewing an ol vibe, driving the BMW's along with the music to connect with the vibe. You deserve to be blessed beyond your years. May Christ watch over your success. I'm glad I got to see you the day after I got out the hospital in the bookstore. It helped lift my spirits to a calmness. You still on my top 3 as far as rappers go.

@@gyrlyninja I grew up in that era. Not young. Have you seen "Paid in Full" the movie? It's about that era. I lived through the crack epidemic in the murder capital DC. If you saw Paid in Full you should know what I'm talking about, the era of clothing style, cars, etc. 50 is wearing the rope chains and kangoo hats like LL Cool J, Rakim, Big Daddy kane, and all those other dudes used to wear back in the day. 50 is also driving the old red BMW and dress like the character in the movie.

@@mantlecarrier12 yup I did too...and yes I’ve seen PIF, I hated that movie. I hated Cam and Mekhi in that movie. But yes, it retells the life that was. I know it well. The jewelry, the cars, the vogue tires and Daytons, Nardi steering wheels, radio shout outs, pull out radios, Kangols and Coogi. 😉Its triggering so I try not to watch because it puts me on pins and needles. Fast life gets real, fast. Cops and snakes, lovers and cheaters, mixed with DV and a toxic kind of love. 50 just has a way to take you out of the trauma of it all, and survival kicks in, so I watch. I reminisce-I guess wasn’t all bad until it was. I was on the west coast. Lastly, this show looks this way because 50 grew up in that era; it’s almost like Raising Kanan is a fictionalized account of how he grew up...this is Get Rich or Die Trying part 2 :) ....it’s why we rocked with him-so real, gritty, funny, masculine, witty, and smart. He made it out of the gutter...proud of him. The story to get where 50 is isn’t pretty but with the systems against you. I’m thankful he can be repaid for the trauma. Hopefully it is a tale of caution-but something tells me these young kids will see it different. 😢
