    Jeff - thanks so much for doing this type of lesson instead of the note for note recording breakdown and transcribing. I am working on this with the band and was looking for ways to jam a little for some more bars, and love your use of the melody line- you just can't go wrong with that approach!

    Thanks bro, Excellent tips. I've been trying to do the melodies on guitar since I can't sing. After all these years I still can't do it. Even for songs that , I write. Any other pointers for that?

    Yeah, that's an underlying topic I really need to start making videos on. I'd start with any sort of ear training. There's tons of great phone apps for it. Also, try playing super simple melodies from your mind. Like happy birthday, row row row your boat, etc... I used to really struggle with stuff like that but it's like a muscle you just keep growing.
