Muhammed Ali seven months late to the party here but if you're going to upgrade the electrics and neck you might as well get a Mexican Fender as the neck alone will put you in that territory. I've got a Mexican tele and a bit of sandpaper to the back will smooth the neck out a bit. Don't need to go too heavy with it.

Pete has a certain Clapton style I've noticed... his fretting hand is always VERY compact on the neck and you almost can't tell which fingers do the work on chords because he has such a light touch... he's got a bit of that slowhand goin'... finesse players always impress the hell out of me because as much as SRV made it look like he's working his ass off for every note (which he was and it's AWESOME to watch), Pete looks like he's just daydreaming and all this great sound just magically comes out of the amp... It's freaking impressive to play on that level.

@mitchellwieler
6 жыл бұрын
Adonai Morales That's an A major shape. It contains the notes C#, E, and A. It's a little triad Pete uses them quite a bit. Also up in that position you can play A major pentatonic which is what Pete is doing while throwing in some blues notes. Hope this helps!

What monitor do you use?
Wish they had a love button. just sayin...
Damm, Pete! Another killer one! Did you wrote that song down, or just pure feeling and improvisation? Your guitar playing is so inspiring... please, keep rocking. Greetings from Brazil
very nice brother ive got a cover jam on my page too ;) lol great song
This is not just guitar playing, this is M&S, sinfully seductive and terribly bad for you guitar playing. All I think of when I hear this song is Albatross and that just reminds me of M&S indulgent chocolate fudge cake advert.Great playing as always Pete
Something told me it was over (yeah)...
If you can feed my curiosity Peter, what string gauges and what brand do you use on your strat? :D

+Stebbzo I sure can... At the moment the strat has .10 Dunlop Pure nickel on it. Nice tones and feeling from those strings. Best. P

Thank king you sir. Don't really hear that myself, but that's also a great song so all cool with me ;). Type in Chris Stapleton Tennessee Whiskey in KZread. That's the one ;)

+Peter Honoré The song is pretty much as old as Mr Stapleton himself though ;) One of two covers on Traveller. I still have that record on repeat all day every day. Best album of 2015? I think it might have been.

If you pause at exactly 2:14, what is that you’re holding? I can see the A, Bm, and Fm pent shapes pretty clearly but where are you here? Some of the tastier licks are in this shape. Thanks.

Adonai Morales That's an A major shape. It contains the notes C#, E, and A. It's a little triad Pete uses them quite a bit. Also up in that position you can play A major pentatonic which is what Pete is doing while throwing in some blues notes. Hope this helps!
I like his scarf ..lol
Wgats he playing other than major and minor pentatonic?
noooooooooooo, you can't just stop at 4:02! what are you doing to us?!
May you provide us the tabs Sir ?
Friend from a (BIG) pawn shop said unless the guitar comes from a pawn shop it won’t play blues or country.
It's a real problem listening to you play, every time i end up looking at buying new gear and completely changing my mind on what sound i want. I've developed i real need to for a nice strat despite being a mostly Les Paul player since i started. You just have great voicing that i want to be able to pull off!
