When I was a kid there were several gravel pits owned by different families. And we were allowed free reign within the limits of the law. Even shooting guns there. But mini bikes to dune buggies were there. And you saw it all. From the newest to the thing being thrashed to its final rpm. Then someone bought it and thrashed it some more. And just like you said a day at the pit and a reassessment of .....aah it’s still good better than that one I saw today. But always wow look at that! How can I get my hands on one of those.

One of the few GS in the world that get used how they are intented to be used. Usually they only get the 65 year old fat biker + even fatter, even older wife + 200 kg of luggage traveling at 60 km/h on a highway kind of treatment.

Binge-watching Fortnine's videos is like listening to your favourite band - there's a sadness to it, because you realise that there's only a finite amount of content and nothing else is quite the same.

i'll say it bold and clear. i love how you spend all out for a video. not to mention being too honest for some gear reviews you made in the past, its really realistic i dont need to watch other reviews. i also liked that you put your extra effort for the script and make it have different themes for different videos so viewers dont get bored. really loving how it all combined and makes a video top class. i really wait for your videos like how i wait every week for a one piece manga. and that is one thing you should be proud of.

I've been watching ForNine for almost 2 years now, and I don't own a motorcycle, but I just applaud the editing, writing, and camera work you all do. Maybe one day I will be able to own one and use these tricks for myself. Good work is never wasted, so long as there are people who will appreciate them. Keep doing what you're doing.

This is literally the most valuable channel I'm subscribed to, please don't ever change what you're doing. This is invaluable as a new rider

Love these vids! Back in the day, I had a Kawasaki Big Horn (2-stroke 350cc single) dirt bike. Damn near lost it in what I thought was a shallow mud hole. Bike was impossibly buried in the mud and I was all alone in the middle of nowhere. I used the tip & drag method to get it out! A few years later, I was out exploring some unfamiliar roads on a '81 Gold Wing. The country road I was on quickly turned to dirt and then something almost resembling quicksand! It was so bad, I got off the bike and it stayed standing up (but bottomed out on the frame). I explored ahead on foot and found the road improved a lot just ahead. I went back to the bike to try and move it forward. Standing next to the bike, I started it, put it in gear, and leaned it over as far as I dared and 'walked' it forward, letting the rear tire get traction on the sidewalls of the rut I had been buried in. Since then, no more mud for the big bikes!

When I inevitably crash my bike I want to be heard saying "Agh look what I've done, now I shall never get to Starbucks" and laughing in a somewhat unhinged way.

Damn you work fast, it's been less than a day since Moog put up his SuperCub video 😆

AS ALWAYS, AN AWESOME VIDEO PROVIDING US WITH SIMPLE AND USEFULL TECHNIQUES... REALLY GOOD JOB FORTNINE TEAM!! CONGRATS FROM VILLA DOLORES, CÓRDOBA, ARGENTINA.

So... the double parking lift in our underground garage broke (literally, as in: there were two parts) and my MT-07 fell down the 3.5m (11.5ft) deep hole underneath. The lift maintenance crew shrugged and just left it in there. Insurance guy wouldn't go down to look at it. Local hoisting company told me they don't have the equipment small enough to get in. My brother in law has a winch on his work truck but it's also too big. He did help, however, because he has seen this video in the past. We took the cable off his truck, brought it down to the garage, hooked it to the frame of my motorcycle, threw it over a ceiling beam and tied it back to the rear wheel's hub. I almost wish my baby fell in there again just so I could see it winding itself back up the second time. Thank you, Ryan, for brilliant ideas! Best hold-my-beer experience ever!

Ryan, thank you guys so much for posting this one! Another incredible job! By far the best motorcycle related content online today....period.

Quite invaluable I think. When I was in China on my little 159cc honda it was still heavy and I went down a flight of stairs that were steep thinking I can get around the side of the building at the bottom, to my horror the river there was flooded and there was no way around it, I had to physically haul the bike back up the stairs 1 step at a time as it was very heavy and very hot too, wish I thought of taking a rope.

Another great vid my friend.I carry an abundant amount of strong cordage for such occasions as well as survival situations way out in the middle of nature.I run a 14 VEE and I made up some lift straps from an old tow strap just for those times when we are down in the mud or steep incline, etc. I DO like the extrication pulley systems as well as the powered ones. I am one tough drop away from getting one!! Again, thank you to you and the crew for throwing more knowledge all over us. Ride hard/be safe!

I've been there with that one - and it was my first moped, too - thick mud, so sticky, I spent an hour or more digging it out before moving on.

First time I went offroading with my f800gs, I accidentally parked it with the frontwheel in a narrow slot between two trees in a steep downhill segment. Took three of us to get it unstuck. Wouldn't have, if I had seen this video! Love your content, keep it up!

Great video as always! Informative and very funny. Small notes: winch rope is usually dyneema. Not nylon. You should also look up the Spanish windlass. Only uses 2 sticks and it is much more efficient than the method you showed.

Thanks for the tips Ryan, I used the Hub winch technique with a Paracord 550 to get unstuck from beach. worked wonders !

In the BMW club, some bikes carry mini winches who like to ride on muddy hills. Rope up and press a winch button.
