Yes I love your videos and have to go see your plants, shrubs, & flower drawings since that is what I do mostly. I think I overdue the line work & am coming to terms with that. Thank you.

If you go to the very first posts on my Instagram page you’ll see my trees and flower paintings, from before I did drawings. You need to go before July 2018. Painting trees by colour and tone probably helps me avoid depending on line too much.

Yoo. I blew 2 minutes at my screen to get rid of the small hair on the right of your tree. Even touched my display and then realized it is a line from the pencil. 😅

Hi, Stephen. Thank you so very much for generously sharing your knowledge, skills, process and way of seeing with us all here! I'm having to draw pine trees; the Loblolly and the longleaf trees. These are seen from afar and in groups. I'm doing a pen & ink and watercolor piece for my daughter's college. I'm normally a silk painter who paints wildlife, portraits, horses and waterfowl, but in the past I'd done college pieces like the one I'm doing now. I'm putting the pine trees above and behind my renditions of 2 of the buildings on campus. Do you have any suggestions for me? The 2 trees scientific names are: Loblolly is Pinus taeda and Longleaf is Pinus palustris They are Evergreen conifers and I'm not sure if I should use just one kind or both. I feel I'm asking a great deal, but anything would be helpful to me. Would it be better for me to send you an email? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
