7:16 reminds me of a quote by Mark Twain "The right word may be effective, but no word was ever as effective as a rightly timed pause"

@@mmmEnglish_Emma I’m around all the time, sweetheart!
I was hyped for this lesson because it will help me build the attention to detail when I speak English. I got my head around the idea that avoiding filler words and unhelpful phrases is important. I love this idea because I tend to think that to keep talking and speak many phrases, even if they are white noise, sound smarter than making pause. I'll change my mind.
Greetings from Hungary!❤🇭🇺
Thanks Emma, for this very good lesson! I work in a multinational company where I have to practise English everyday. When I have to ask someone to do a task for me, I usually ask using the expression "can/could you please do it?". One of the differences I noticed between American and Brazilian culture is the lunch time. In Brazil we have usually a one-hour lunch break, and we respect that break. In the US I saw that people go back to work as soon as they finish eating. Kind regards from south of Brazil! PS: last thing: your intonation looks very happy and enthusiastic to me.
It's not about how fast you express your idea, it's about how much the other get your idea.

Thanks a lot Emma, I can clearly relate to this lesson, which shows how true and professionally it's done. I went today to a private school for a job opportunity, I used "I'll try my best" a lot, lol!!! And this job is English Teacher, so yup it's very relatable to me. DON'T BE ME GUYS, LISTEN TO AUNTIE EMMA 😂😂😂

It was such a wonderful lesson indeed. Thanks
English sounds formal to me. Thanks for tip number one, once I began using it, I messed up less when I was speaking. And yeah, you were right, I don't need filler words.
Dear E. You sound just perfect, I wish to reach such level of confidence in speaking.
Amazing Emma, Thanks for sharing this. Yesterday was my GD session & I was pretty good at that but now I realise that I have to brush up my skill particularly on the last point of your help list that is AVOID UNHELPFUL PHRASES.
Hi, Emma! Thanks so much!
Hello Emma, I'm ZIA from Vietnam with love. Your lessons are exciting and interesting. I love them so much. Thank you 💓
Dear Emma.. you r incredible.. Well i love to listen you and your conversation are amazing... I am not really well in English but when you talk about it sounds much easier. ♥️♥️♥️
Hi Emma, how's it going? So you explain in this lesson what exactly I have observed: professionals speak clear: professors, lawyers, doctors, etc. They usually speak very clear. This got me confused because if I wanted to sound professional something told me that I had to speak clear and not so fast, but, I hear everywhere: if you want to sound like a native you have to spesk fast and connect the sounds. Now you clarify this confusion for me: professionsls speak clear because they want to be sure that their message has been fully understood. Thanks Emma and keep it up!! I liked it when you said "Let's get professional".😉

@@dnjosh10 I think there isn’t any universal methods. What I essentially did was to pronounce the words as much clearly as possible. And I have to admit, that when it comes to speaking slowly, there is more time to reflect on the sentences’ structure and connotation. It is really really helpful.
Mam l like too your teaching. Thank q so much
It's not that you're English is different than we're used to. But, you're unique, I listen to your pronunciation once a day. Hoping i can sound like you. Your articulation is sophisticated. And i like it. I want to be PROFESSIONAL like you. You're my English tutor role model!
