This is the mindset! Some days are worse than others but ultimately you're inching closer to that finish line. Thanks for the comment :)

Can you switch fields in your PA career. Like when you're a dermatology PA, can you switch to Orthopedic Surgery or do you have to go back to PA school to switch.

You only go to school once. You can switch specialties but you would need your new employer to take you onboard and train you.

Question: In a perfect world, I would like to go straight to MD School to be a radiologist right after getting my bachelors. However, that costs money and time that I’m not sure I’d be able go into that much debt. Would you recommend going to PA school, being a PA for a few years, and then working on my medical degree side-by-side ? If not, what would you do ? This question is for anyone with insight, no right or wrong I just want some help/feedback

If MD and being a radiologist is the goal, do not divert your journey by attending PA school. You will only find yourself with even less time and opportunities to make a run and complete medical school as life comes to you fast. Going the PA route in this scenario will delay your MD by 2-3 years and accrue another 100K+ in debt. There is no way you'll be able to attend medical school and work as a PA simultaneously, either. If you go the PA route and genuinely want to be a physician, you will only find resentment and other unpleasant emotions. Please take the time and research to decide which path is best for you and not settle or regret your choice. I'm pleased with my professional/career choice, but that doesn't mean you would be as thrilled.

Hi John! You give great advice, as usual! I'm approaching retirement age. So it makes me so happy to see a new generation of PAs taking over from us "old guys"👨🏾‍🦳 .
